I want to star this review by saying that I can not say enough good things about Zebulon Animal Hospital. My fiancee and I share our home with four wonderful fur faces (plus a turtle!) so trips to the vet are very routine for us. We moved to Wendell a few years ago and needed a vet for our recently adopted cat who was having an eye problem. We could not have been any luckier to find the wonderful and caring Dr. Rose and her staff at the Zebulon Animal Hospital. They treat all of our little babes as if they were their own and we can tell that they want the best for them. Recently our handsome brown tabby has been very under the weather and its been such a blessing having the whole ZAH team in his corner. He has had to spend a few days and nights on fluids while we get him on the road to recovery and they have been such a wonderful support system. When he has had to stay the day (or night) we call every few hours to check on him, Michelle and Tara are always more than happy to provide us with his current status. They have provided us with information and more importantly provided him with love and care. Our sweet boy loves the snuggles that he gets from Cece every single time he makes a visit. Today I called to check up on him and it made me so happy to hear that when Michelle went back to check on him he had everyone huddled around him supporting him. We came from out of town to visit family in Zebulon and brought our new rescue puppy for his first check up & shots. They scheduled us the next day which was very convenient. The front staff was welcoming & the waiting room clean, spacious. Tisha & Dr. Thomas were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions. We appreciated the attention, time & care they took with us - also the follow up to make sure our puppy was okay! We highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for friendly, professional services & reasonable rates for great vet care. The first time client discount was a great bonus for us too. Sad that the only review is 6 years old and from someone that apparently can't be pleased, if you look at his other reviews. Don't be scared by his review, this place is perfect in every aspect.I LOVED this vet! I come from a small city where the only vet was an old man that seemed to hate his job and all of the animals, so I wasn't expecting much from this vet.Boy was I blown away. I had Dr. Rose and Tisha, who both loved all over my friendly pup and gave him many compliments. They said my boyfriend and I were doing a great job with him. We needed quite a few things (vaccinations for kennel cough, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, concerns over him chewing his paw, and a good old checkup) so I expected the bill to be pretty high.The total came up to $170, and they give every new customer a $40 coupon, so $130 for all the above. Not sure what Jim did to his pets that required $400. Dr. Rose gave me multiple options for prescriptions and always made a point to say outright, "It costs $XX." I will not hesitate to come back in 6 months and I'm sure my dog won't mind going back to get all of the rubs from everybody!Another unnecessary but very appreciated perk - they use petly.com for customers to keep records of their appointments, vaccinations, and everything in between. It's free to use and I love being able to sign in to see when my dog last had X vaccination and if he's due for anything soon. Take your pet to Zebulon Animal Hospital, you will not regret it. The staff are always friendly and professional, and the service is everything one would expect. 10/05/16: Sami got spayed today; her care was superb, and I'm very pleased with her post-op condition. I had only had Dixie for one night and she was experiencing a drastic flea situation. I called Zebulon Animal Hospital and was greeted by a very friendly, cheerful receptionist, who answered all my questions and set me up with an appointment for my new fur-child. The technician was very good, the vet calm and patient in greeting Dixie, an almost one year old Dachshund who has been through several homes before ending up with me. Warm, friendly & VERY helpful Veterinarians, Veterinary Assistants & Receptionists! My fiance & I feared that our 6 mo. old kitten wasn't going to make it ....I called Zebulon Animal Hospital to ask their advice & they said I could & really should bring him by. Even though they didn't have any available appointments, I was able to conveniently drop him off w/ them anyway, but they also made sure I felt comfortable leaving him w/ them while I went to work for the day. They gave him some fluids, all the kitten food he could eat, plently of love, treated him for existing fleas & sent us home w/ a goody-bag, which contained more flea preventative. He started feeling slightly better but still wasn't the same kitten. Two days later I was going to call to schedule another appointment, but before I got the chance, THEY called ME to follow-up! After I explained how he still wasn't doing well, they gave us the option of bringing him in that very same afternoon & we did, indeed! We were able to speak w/ their other Veterinarian, who was also wonderful, while she reassessed him & we came up w/ another game plan, together. I truly believe that's what saved his little life! Once again, he's extremely happy, healthy & right back to chasing his siblings' tails! Needless to say, I was thrilled w/ my experience at Zebulon Animal Hospital! Their charitable rates, top-notch care & compassion cannot be beat! Two weeks later, I even received a hand-written card in the mail from Dr. Rose, which really pleased us. We also have another, older cat & two dogs .....when they need veterinary care, we WILL be taking them to Zebulon Animal Hospital, as well! Yesterday my cat started having some odd symptoms and I am new to the area and found this clinic online. Everyone from the front staff to to doctor were as sweet and caring as possible. They really showed how much they do care about your pets. I have owned many pets from small animals to reptiles and have been to many vets in my lifetime. Believe me when I tell you-this establishment is THE BEST vet I have ever been to. Everyone involved with my cat was so very kind and understanding. The tech was extremely smart and helpful. None of them talked down to me as if I knew nothing about my own pet, or animals in general (as they had no knowledge of my extensive schooling background in the medical field). They listened and really took note of what I was saying. The vet gave a very thorough checkup on my cat and was not pushy or in a hurry like most vets I have had experience with in the past. The clinic itself was VERY clean. The cleanest vet office I have ever been in. When it came to payment time, I was extremely surprised at the much lower cost of procedures and medications in comparison to other vets I have been to as well, which was such a relief for me. I HIGHLY recommend this animal hospital to everyone who is looking for a new vet or just an animal hospital in general.Read Less

I absolutely love this place. Dr. Rose is the best vet I have ever, ever been to. I haven't always been comfortable taking my pets to some vets I've been to in the past. But she and her folks there make you feel right at home, they love on your babies like they are their own and they treat you like family! I will never take my 'children' anywhere else! Read Less

Love this place! I've been a client since 2003 when I brought in two kittens I adopted! Since then I've adopted 5 more cats, cared for / fostered multiple kittens and cats that I've brought to Zebulon Animal hospital. Dr. Rose, Tisha, Jennifer and Cleo are all very caring and understanding and will go beyond normal vet care for you pet! Dr. Rose is constantly in touch with you if your pet has an issue, by phone or email and is not a normal 8 to 5 vet. They were so awesome! They entire staff was very helpful. I called in the morning because my dog was having an issue, she had not been seen there before, and they worked her in that afternoon. The vet tech was very well educated also and did a wonderful job educating me on the issue my dog was having. Dr. Rose was amazing too! She was so sweet and easy with my dog. If you love your animal you will not take them to Zebulon Animal Hospital.   They want your money, not your pets health. I was charged $100 for a visit, then asked to come back the next day for a follow up, which they took upon themselves to administer a series of tests that I was told would be close to $400 After the fact!!! When I asked if I could pay half I the receptionist said she needed to ask the doctor, she returned immediately and said no, I need to pay all of it now.  The doctor didn't even have the decency to come out and talk with me, yet instead chose to hide in the back.Later upon doing my own research I found the information the staff gave me was not only incorrect & wrong, it could have killed my animal. So either they are complete liars or they don't know what they are doing, either way it is not a safe place to bring your pet.Please ask a friend or neighbor or check the other reviews on yelp and never for any reason go here.
