Lets see where do I start......ZERO STARSMy dog Tuna was almost a full bread sharpei rescue, she was barely five years old when I had to put her down last night. I've been taking my dogs to all creatures for shots and normal things that basically a vet tec could do on their first day since they were puppies. When Tuna got sick in mid may she was having bloody diarrhea. I took her in to all creatures a few days after I noticed it, and the pumpkin, chicken, rice didn't clear it up. The first vet couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, her symptoms pointed toward giardia. I specifically asked the lady vet to do not only do a fecal smear instead of the typical float they would do and also a urine analysis since she was squatting and hovering a few times before she would urinate. She ignored me, did neither and couldn't figure out what was wrong with my dog. Okay fine.... so we go back the next week for you guessed it a fecal smear! Hooray another vet visit bill specifically to do this test that I asked for specially the week prior. This time we see Dr. Dan, apparently he's supposed to be the best, WRONG. Dr. Dan was so preoccupied trying to get me to book his band he performs in at my bar, versus focusing on my dog and once again I asked for a urine analysis. He told me we definitely did not need to do that test it wasn't anything to do with bladder, kidney, liver...... okay Dr. Dan after about five more visits of his consistently charging me for everything he could even think of and never doing a urine analysis even with one of his vet techs at the mount Washington location agreeing that it needed to be done. He put her on a special diet, guess what you can only buy this special food from his vets office! Five visits later and over $1,000 in vet bills he tells me he wants to do a colonoscopy on my dog, another $1000. This is a very invasive procedure to do on any animal, let alone one that has been extremely ill for months. I immediately contacted a vet friend who lives in Arizona, she advised me to not get the colonoscopy and to 100% get a second opinion. Tuna has been a high energy dog her whole life, so even after being extremely ill for months she was still acting normal for a dog so Dr. Dan wasn't concerned. A friend of mine recommended MED VET. Tuna was at MED VET for TWO HOURS, let me repeat that TWO HOURS before they knew what was wrong with her. By a simple urine analysis and an ultra sound not an invasive procedure on a sick animal. Tuna had MAST cancer and had Dr. Dan done a simple urine analysis test he would have been able to see her elevated test levels. She had surprise a giant mass on her LIVER! I am not blaming Dr. Dan for my dog getting sick, but he had the tools needed to diagnose her. Had he been able to do his job effectively. I would have been able to at least enjoy her last months/weeks even. Nope this past Wednesday August 9th 2017 Tuna was diagnosed at MED VET. Friday August 11th 2017, she had to be put down due to the difficulty she was having breathing. Not even two full days after learning my dog was critical I lost her.We will not even get in to the fact that when I contacted all creatures about potentially putting her down humanely that after it was done they were going to put my dog, my BEST FRIEND in a freezer until they could cremate her. After being scolded by another male vet for not wanting them to freeze my dog I took Tuna put her back in the car and called angel paws to come to our home and put her down, not in some creepy dim lit room covered in religious paraphernalia and a Bookcase of urns. All Creatures you suck I can only hope that someone will nail your ass in a lawsuit against malpractice very soon, who knows it might be me. PS: Dr. Dan stop giving your CDs to people who spend over $300 dollars in your veterinary office. You aren't doing anyone favors. Read Less
