Customer Service is lacking. I can't tell you how many times I've shown up for appointments that didn't exist because the front desk erroneously leaves messages about appointments. Banfield use to care about your pet, now it's how quickly they can get you in and out. Plus, they have a partnership with Care Vet (emergency vet) and will try to send you there. I've taken my dogs here for years, but between customer service, how overly busy Banfield has become, lack of compassion lately maybe time to move on..... Read Less

Very disappointed customer. Made an appt in advance. Arrived 3 minutes late to a very busy office (which btw I attempted to call 10 min prior to explain I was stuck in traffic, only to be out on hold. I hung up when I pulled in the parking lot) and waited in line to be helped for 20 minutes. Was told that they have to cancel my appt due to closing in 5 minutes. Not my fault I had to wait in line for 20 minutes while other customers were being checked out. Not a great way to treat a new customer. If you’re that busy of an office, maybe consider hiring more staff for the front desk rather than making people wait and refusing service to someone that had a scheduled appointment. What a waste of time. Read Less

First, A sincere thankyou to the staff of the Beavercreek Banfield. When my beloved cat, Garlough passed away Dr. Rentz spoke to him almost in a lullaby. Though my heart broken, I was filled with gratitude for such a caring doctor, and staff. We received a sympathy card signed by the staff, with heartfelt messages. We also recieved a sympathy card from the company they sent him to for cremation even after recieving his remains. There was a half heart "token" with a message that said the other half had been placed with his remains when he was cremated. We appreciated *Greatly* Dr. Shockling's determination in trying to help find the cause of Garlough's illness. She even called us on her own time with concern for him. After adopting our dog Gracie from the Champaign County Animal Welfare League we immediately trusted her care to the staff of Banfield. Thankyou to Dr. Serrano for giving Gracie a caring introduction. Dr. Serrano was incredibly knowledgeable, and welcoming to any and all of our questions. Thankyou to Dr. Lohrey for her amazing care when Gracie gave us a health scare the other day. She was very thorough. She explained everything, and graciously showed us the xrays. Aside from why we were there she spotted **early** a condition Gracie has and gave us tips to prevent later complications. The support staff is also fantastic! The only regret we have is not having gone to Banfield sooner. They have saved us so much time and money with great wellness plans. We went there because our cat couldn't handle to 30min. Drive to his former vet. We made a good decision. Read Less

This vet office is not helpful and the employees are rude. I had an appt scheduled for one of my dogs, they cancelled the appt and did not try to reschedule it. I am moving to Alaska and need health certs done on my pets, they were not willing to help fit any of the animals in, instead they complained to me about how busy they are and were rude about me even asking. I initially purchased two of their pet plans for my dogs, and they tried charging for things that were supposed to be included in the plan. If I can't even schedule appts for my dogs what is the point of having a health plan through the company???? I am very dissatisfied, do not recommend this vet office and will not be back. I am just out $1,000 now for unused health plan. Read Less

We have been going to Banfield for around 10 years, first with our previous dog and then with our puppy, who is now 8 years old.  She is on a wellness plan which is a good deal and helps keep costs predictable.  Her teeth get cleaned every year and the vets and techs have always been very friendly to us and her.  When it was time to put our previous dog down, they were very compassionate.  We just got a new puppy and will be taking him there too. I'm a highly unsatisfied customer who just visited banfield pet hospital in beavercreek, OH. The person working the desk, Samantha, was unwilling to weigh my dog and give him his heart worm medication that he gets every month from banfield pet hospital. Every month we bring him in to be weighed and given his heart worm medication. We have done this at multiple locations as we travel often. This Samantha told me (only after transferring his records after I asked for him to weighed and given his meds) that since Brutus did not have a relationship with the vet she wasn't able to give him his medicine. This is ridiculous to me. How does a relationship constitute whether or not he can have his monthly heartworm medication that you guys clearly have record of. What is the point of being able to visit multiple locations and have your dog treated if you require a relationship with the vet to do so? I will be discontinuing my health plan and relationship with banfield pet hospital after my year is up. This is not good customer service Read Less

I started taking my two senior dogs to Banfield a few years ago. I previously took my dogs to a vet in Kettering and, while I liked the vet, the support staff was indifferent at best, and at worst, cold. On my first visit to Banfield, I liked the support staff, but the vet left something to be desired. I decided to try them one more time, and discovered that the vet in question had moved on (good riddance). The current staff is AMAZING, every one of them. They are caring, friendly and professional, and make an effort to get to know the patients and their humans. (Twelve years at the other place, and they always acted like I was a rank stranger when I walked in the door.) When out oldest dog started showing obvious signs of decline, the vet took lots of time to talk to us and help us come to the right decision. She openly talked about treatments and their costs, and gave objective opinions on what she thought would truly help our pet. When we had to put our beautiful girl down a few months later, the whole staff was unbelievably kind. They let us take the time we needed to say goodbye and made the process as peaceful and comforting to our dog as possible. They followed up days later with a condolence card, signed by the whole staff, and each time I come in with my other dog they ask about how he, and we, are coping. That type of caring cannot be faked, and cannot be taught. They truly love what they do, and it shows. I have no idea how other Banfield branches treat their patients, but I recommend the Beavercreek, OH, location wholeheartedly. They are wonderful! Read Less
