I started taking my two senior dogs to Banfield a few years ago. I previously took my dogs to a vet in Kettering and, while I liked the vet, the support staff was indifferent at best, and at worst, cold.
On my first visit to Banfield, I liked the support staff, but the vet left something to be desired. I decided to try them one more time, and discovered that the vet in question had moved on (good riddance). The current staff is AMAZING, every one of them. They are caring, friendly and professional, and make an effort to get to know the patients and their humans. (Twelve years at the other place, and they always acted like I was a rank stranger when I walked in the door.)
When out oldest dog started showing obvious signs of decline, the vet took lots of time to talk to us and help us come to the right decision. She openly talked about treatments and their costs, and gave objective opinions on what she thought would truly help our pet. When we had to put our beautiful girl down a few months later, the whole staff was unbelievably kind. They let us take the time we needed to say goodbye and made the process as peaceful and comforting to our dog as possible. They followed up days later with a condolence card, signed by the whole staff, and each time I come in with my other dog they ask about how he, and we, are coping. That type of caring cannot be faked, and cannot be taught. They truly love what they do, and it shows.
I have no idea how other Banfield branches treat their patients, but I recommend the Beavercreek, OH, location wholeheartedly. They are wonderful! Read Less
