The office is very clean, and staff is very attentive, even when my fur baby had an accident on the floor. I was nervous taking my son's Pitt bull 2yr old in to the vet. I was so proud of Monte with how he acted and thankful to the staff for the love they showed him!! I love this animal hospital the vets are always friendly and take care of my dogs with such care. My chihuahua threw his back out and the were so kind to him and my bulldog has bad allergies and helped him. Dr. Smith cares for all three of our Dobermans. Recently, she was caring for our rescue dog who has a rare blood disorder. He needed some dental work done and her compassion and care was outstanding! i am very pleased with the experience we had at this animal hospital. My husband brought our sick cat in to get looked at.. when all was said and done, it turned out that there was no saving our little cat and she had to be put down. i was not there, but according to my husband  the vet was very straight forward, honest, and compassionate about the whole process. this was such a sudden illness and a shock to everyone. we will be picking up our paw print memorial of hers tomorrow, and i just want to say thank you to everyone at the clinic for the kindness and honesty they expressed through this horrible event. it was very easy to make a same- day appointment, and the facility was clean, and workers were professional. thanks, again. The staff was very nice but the doc didn't seem interested in what was wrong with my dog. I explained.to the doc what was wrong and she didn't say much or how we can come to a solution. He got his booster shot and rabies and we did bloodwork she wanted to do X-rays which is expensive but really didn't want to try an alturnative with meds.when I went to pay the bill they gave me vitamins which they never told me the cost or why they were giving them to me but when I asked she said they were $69 I paid almost $300 for a 10 minute exam when I left there I said I would never go back Read Less

I've been taking my dog here for a couple of years now. By far this is one of the most professional Vets I've used. I have a larger dog that can be difficult to care for and difficult in waiting rooms. However, we seem to never have to wait long and Dr. Rhonda is very good with our dog. The only injury ever sustained is from his tail wagging so hard from enjoying the care he gets. And recently, a friend of mine had to put down their dog. The care they received before and after was above and beyond. I am sad to ever think of that day for me and Lou, but I know we will be in good hands when that day comes. I don't even know where to start. Maybe it would be with the fact that they diagnosed our dog Storm so early that even the specialists were amazed. We were able to save his eyes (two detaching retinas) due to their keen eyesight. They have a guided us through caring for a dog with diabetes who lost her eyesight, an old boxer with cancer, another boxer who had to have a dewclaw amputated later in life, and a German Shepherd with several rare diseases, all of which they detected early and treated thoroughly. I think the thing I'm most grateful for is the in-home euthanasia of our beloved Zoe. We got a tremendous amount of relief from being able to be with our girl, in our home, on her bed when she took her last breath. We are forever grateful to Dr. Rhonda and her amazing staff!Read Less

Sandtone! The staff and doctors there are wonderful. Our 2 kitties have had many repeat visits and the staff has always been very caring and dedicated to helping them. We are able to get in on time. The one time when they were booked, due to other emergencies, they called their sister office (Emerald Animal Hospital) and got an apt for us. I was very apprehensive to go to this Vet because I read the reviews on here before going in. Due to my other local vet not having any openings and my urgency to be seen I was forced to go here. I am so glad that I chose to walk through the doors even after reading the poor reviews. I absolutely loved my vet tech Iyana (spelling?) she is super, super knowledgeable and very friendly, very warm, very loving and very caring of your pet. They were able to squeeze me in same day when I realized my cat had a goofball size lump in his cheek.Today (only two days after my first appt) I brought my other 2 cats in for a check up. On Friday I saw one veterinarian and today I saw the other. I liked them both but I will say I liked one more than the other- simply a matter of personal preference. I just clicked with her personality more is all, they were both great. In my first visit I received, the office visit, deworming,flea prevention, flea treatment that kills adult fleas immediately which I purchased 3 for all three of my cats that day, antibiotic and something else I can't remember right now and walked out paying $82.00!!! Idk where you go but compared to where I've been that's the price to beat! Oh yea my flea prevention kit was free for being a new patient! I believe it was only $16 though. Awful experience. I called on 7.10.15 at 3:45pm expressing that I'm new in the area with a dog that needs an appointment asap, no call was returned. I waited the weekend with no return call. Then I called at 8:45am this morning 7.13.15 again leaving a message, no call returned. So at 10:45am I drove up there since the location is a minute from my house again to be turned away with no availability until Wed of next week!!!! I was told they had 2 emergency walkins right before me that took the walk in appointments yet I have been calling since Friday. This location needs better service and more regular voicemail checks. Or how about this-answer your phone like most businesses. The doctors might be good but when you have a staff of people who aren't concerned w returning calls in a readily fashion your rating score hits rock bottom. Worst experience with a veterinary office we've ever had. Quoted $339 for front declaw (was told on the phone that I wouldn't owe a balance at pre op appointment), came in for pre op appointment and found out we'd need to pay an additional $209 for bloodwork and shots. Decided against the surgery and still had to pay $87 for the office visit. Very disappointed and will continue our search for a great vet office on the west side of Cleveland. Read Less

This place use to have a great vet to take your animal. Then the vet retired and new owners took over. Recently they have been pushing us to spend a lot of money to  run unnecessary tests on my dog when they have her records from her puppy days there. The last vet tested for heart worm every three years. The new one wants every year. She already takes a heart worm preventative so I see no point in testing every single year. Furthermore, my dog had an episode where she was constantly licking herself and was overall acting very stressed out and couldn't relax. I did research and thought maybe she had a urinary tract infection. I took her to the vet where they wanted a sample of her pee and they did a very minimal check of her body.  They prescribed her antibiotics and sent us on our way. We gave my dog the antibiotics right away and the next day was still constantly licking herself. I thought the antibiotics should have kicked in by then and I got fed up with seeing my dog in distress so I checked her out myself. $250.00 and one day later, my dog had a skinny, pickley stick sticking out of her lady parts. The vet should have found that if they properly examined her and when we told them what was really wrong with my dog they didn't apologize for not finding it themselves and didn't even offer to give my money back. In the end when we removed the stick ourselves my dog FINALLY relaxed and all was well with her again. I don't appreciated vets pushing me to spend money on a healthy dog. I really feel this place has become more about money than the health of the dog. Maybe this is how the younger vets are examining pets these days, but my dog is so healthy and I don't appreciate their minimal examination. I don't recommend taking your pets here. PS dogs are weird and I have no idea how a stick got stuck in her like that. Guess she sat outside in the wrong place at the wrong time. Read Less
