Whether assisting young pets to start life on a healthy note or helping older ones overcome chronic health conditions, the clinic’s professionals are always ready to help. Their desire to protect the animals, however, means that they will always want to learn more and do everything possible to stay updated with any developments in their careers. Appointments begin with an initial assessment of the recent changes in behavior, appetite, and mobility. Pet owners frequently bring their animals to the clinic for vaccinations, dental cleanings, wellness exams, and diagnostics screenings. However, the facilities are well equipped to deal with acute issues such as injuries, swellings, and gastrointestinal problems. The team might recommend you to have bloodwork, urinalysis or imaging done. Allergy treatment services, in addition to surgery consultation and geriatric care options, are also available. Pet owners get itemized steps and timelines to follow—from the immediate implementation of prescribed medication to the long-term goals of the care plan. Veterinary methods are also adjusted to help animals experiencing chronic ailments such as arthritis and skin and metabolic diseases. A multitude of clients travels from nearby cities and rural areas surrounding Bowling Green to obtain complete track records of their pets’ health progress. The follow-up structure and timeline adjustments would benefit families with several pets and those returning after the procedures. My cat was dying I called, and they said to bring him in. I arrived 5 minutes after closing since that was the time of day my cat was having trouble. They said the doctor had a diner to go to, and had already left. The staff I talked to suggested I go to the emergency vet in Toledo, which is what I ended up doing for a nice surcharge. They then left me in the parking lot holding my dying cat. Would not recommend. Read Less

I've worked most closely with Dr. Martin (although Dr. Kettner is a wonderful vet too) over the past 20 years. His gentle demeanor (with both animals and humans), concern for not just the animals (although that most certainly takes priority), and concern for how his clients is amazing. He's always very concerned about how a client is handling any news they've gotten, and tries to help them work through it. (Once he actually pulled a chair up to and let me sleep beside the cage of a pet who'd undergone a very difficult - eventually life-ending - surgery, to comfort both myself and the pet). And he's also always concerned that you, as a client, know what you need to know before leaving the office. And an added bonus? (although not why we go there by any means) - - they're inexpensive. Yes, they're probably considered, to an extent, a "small country vet"€.but they're very well-informed. and are very willing to look into any means you'd like to help your animal feel better. Bottom line - despite being a 35 minute drive now after we moved to Toledo, I'll never take my animals anywhere other than Midway. Read Less
