Brecksville Animal Hospital

Brecksville, Ohio
General Info
Brecksville Animal Hospital in Brecksville is a veterinary practice devoted to delivering thorough and compassionate care to pets in the area. Located in Brecksville, United States, the clinic is renowned for its professional and reliable attitude toward animal health. The experienced team provides personalized wellness plans, regular check-ups, and other treatments suited to the pet’s needs. Services often include Cold Laser Therapy, Wellness Exams, Bloodwork, Orthopedic Surgery, Spay/Neuter, and Puppy and Kitten Care. These methods are applied in the context of the quality treatment and prevention procedures. The premises have everything needed for the efficient treatment of pets and are designed to minimize the stress animals experience during visits, which is vital for precise diagnoses and successful prognoses. Clients frequently note that the practice’s staff is loving and communicative, which helps build trust and ensures pets get consistent care. Brecksville Animal Hospital continues to evolve as a pillar of the Brecksville pet community. Whether it is helping young pets get a healthy start or supporting the senior ones as they manage chronic illnesses, the professionals are always available to help. Their desire to help animals and continually improve their knowledge is evident. This ensures that every pet gets the best possible care. The practice also strives to raise awareness in the local community and promote responsible pet ownership. Brecksville Animal Hospital in Brecksville is well aware of the significance of posture and micro-movements. Every body component principle significantly affects the dog’s state of mind (for example, “tail” as a stress indicator or “step back” as a reset button). The session begins with spatial reading, where the observers note how pets hold their weight and how often they move their eyes. In addition, the stability or uncertainty of tail motions is observed. Staff adjust the stance according to the position reading, stand diagonally when direct approach causes tension, or use pauses instead of voice for animals that display over-attunement. The tools are then placed “within view but out of motion” so that the pet becomes visually accustomed to them before any interaction. Brecksville Animal Hospital offers extensive services in diagnostics, surgical consultations, pain monitoring and management, sensory response treatments, and organized mobility rehabilitation programs. Every treatment alters itself while being applied. Whenever the pet assumes a lowered posture and diverts its gaze, it is recommended to return to anchoring movements. These may include patterned motion or steps and aim to facilitate a calming effect. Aftercare implementation by owners together with the visual aides when hands are extended outwards in an arch manner. Hands introduction contrasting movement and visual anchoring for focus on going back into routine. This ensures that after-visit activities are maintained at the current level, while domestic care practices are stable. Brecksville Animal Hospital offers intricate communication to Brecksville families and Ohio pet owners via a harmonious blend of internal dialogic balance.

I just got home from my latest visit to see Dr. Purdue. One of my dogs has been having some stomach issues and Dr. Purdue was so nice, thorough, and did not rush. She answered every single question that I had and was able to explain why she was recommending it. She was in the room with me for about 40-45 mins. I actually felt bad because I thought I was the last appointment of the day and she really had at least one more person to visit. She never seemed in a hurry and I only realized after I heard her start talking to another client. I have been taking my animals to see her for the last year and have been so happy with the service. Everyone at the office cares about the animals and aren't just trying to sell unnecessary services or products.Read Less

Thorough exams and sliding a critical care pet in front of me is exactly what one should expect.  Fitting appointments into a slotted time just doesn't work in this type of venture, and the clients should have great respect for it when their pet needs critical care.  With my pets and the difference of care they have had elsewhere, I won't be going anywhere else.  Thorough examination, time spent to make sure they were comfortable (not just leather gloves and a show of force) and thoughtful responses to all our questions.  We were even invited to hang out while the blood tests were completed, which is generally the next day and a phone call.  I couldn't be any happier with Dr Purdue, and I should have listened sooner to friends and family suggesting we use their facility. Dr. Purdue and the staff at Brecksville Animal Hospital are wonderful! It's obvious they love the cats and dogs that they care for, and they spend quality time with each animal during their exam. I actually live in Chicago, but have gotten unhappy with the vets in my neighborhood, so for the last two years, I have brought my cat home with me for Thanksgiving to have her annual exam/shots at the Brecksville Animal Hospital. I'm happy with the care, and double-happy with the price! And my cat is pretty satisfied too, all things considered. They only thing keeping BAH from a 5-star rating is the wait time. Because of the length of time they spend with each animal, and the fact that they are anxious to accommodate emergency visits, you should plan to spend extra time waiting...but it's worth it! After my beloved Brandy's near death experience at a veternary hospital in Akron, I had little faith in veternary science. My neice told me about Dr. Sherri Perdue of Brecksville Animal Hospital. After meeting her and having her treat my dog for just a short period of time, I saw such improvement in every aspect of her being. I owe her improved health and happiness to Dr. Perdue. I recommend Brecksville Animal Hospital over any other pet care facility. If you love your pet, you owe it to them to make the drive to see Dr. Perdue, you wont regret it! Read Less
