First impression are the key and they did not deliver. Our cat has pooped outside of her litter box so my wife called asking how much would it be to send out a stool sample to check for parasites. Once price was given, she drove there to drop it off to find out that without seeing the cat they will not do it. Aside from being completely indiferent to the fact that they failed to communicate the need for being an existing client, no one even cared to check with management if an exception can be done since my wife was already there. Guess playing with the puppy they had out in the reception was more important... Read Less

I don't do many 5-star reviews, but we LOVE Doctor Wilson. Our beagle/jack russell mix may be coming to the end of her life and Doc treated us with respect and very straight forward in treatment, but most importantly to us she handles the situation for what it is, a family pet (not a child). She has given us recommendations on what she would do if it was her pet and has been educational. The rest of the staff is very helpful, they clearly care about their customers and each person I have worked with there relate exceptionally well to our doggies. I just called the hospital to check in on our pooch and the tech was very clear in helping us understand when we can visit, if we should bring anything, changes in the dogs behavior, etc. - definitely putting our mind at ease. I used to gripe about how much we were spending on animal care, but these guys have made every single penny spent worth it. Read Less

Have been coming here for a while now and with four different pets. Have had MULTIPLE bad experiences but continued to come due to convenience of location and good hours. Safe to say I won't ever take a pet here again. The only good thing about this place is their front desk staff (very nice people who have an obvious love for animals). I took my dog in to get groomed and she was clipped in her private area multiple times by the groomer (the vet even said she does not understand how the extent of this injury could have happened especially when they told me my dog is very well behaved when she gets groomed) and when I took her in to be examined by the vet I had to pay $50 for a spray to treat her wound caused by their staff. When my dog became suddenly blind the doctor diagnosed her with SARDS and pushed me off to a specialist. I called almost every day for a week and a half asking to speak with him because I knew something more was wrong, as she was not acting anything like the dog I had for 9 years since she was a puppy and her health was rapidly deteriorating. I was only ever given the option to leave a message and not speak with him directly. His answer every time was basically exactly the same, just worded differently; "Well she is blind now". Turns out my dog had a brain tumor and because of their misdiagnosis and refusal to take me seriously my dog suffered in severe pain until she had to be put down. I've since taken two new kittens there for check up exams/ upper resp. infections and not only are they extremely over priced, but the vets rush through the exams, provide minimal information, and don't really seem to know what they are talking about. $112 for a 20 minute visit; took weight, temp, and told me what I already knew and gave me two prescriptions. Overpriced and incompetent.  After $350 for an x-ray and blood work, I was told that my cat had arthritis.  They also noted a small tumor in his lung, but could not confirm if it was cancer or an enlarged lymph node.  My cat was prescribed pain meds for the "arthritis".  After 2 weeks of no improvement I took my cat to a different vet.  I was told that my cat had bone cancer.  Tumor's in his legs and feet were causing pain, not arthritis.  I ended up putting my cat down that day, as nothing could be done to help him.  For 2 weeks I was misinformed and my cat suffered. The vet never called to follow up on my cat.  If you care about your pet, do not take them to this vet. Read Less

Fantasic place! Everyone from the doctors to the people who answer when I call are incredible. After struggling for a year to get a diagnosis for my dog on her limping, went here per my mom's recommendation and all the doctor did was ask to see her walk and we finally got a diagnosis to the limping. Xrays confirmed the doctors diagnosis! Very pleased with them I also don't feel like I am paying and arm and a leg everytime I need to take my pooch to them. Been going for about 3.5 years now. Would suggest that they educate a little bit more regarding different things like vaccines. It was recommended to me to get certain vaccines but was never really explained what they are for. I had to go out of my way to ask about what they were for and ended up only getting one so I could research the others since the info I got on the one was just barebones info. Read Less

I was very unhappy with the care my hamster received here. I have moved several times and therefore have taken him to several vets as he has diabetes, and this was by far my worst experience. I took him in because he was lethargic and a pouch was swollen. When the vet came in she asked what was going on and before I had got more than a sentence or two out she was loudly talking over me and did not seem to care about the history leading up to the visit. She also did not believe his diagnosis of diabetes and said "hamsters are prey animals, it makes sense they would have higher blood sugar" - and while yes I believe there is truth to that, severe glycosuria and ketonuria... how is that an adaptive response?? If ketones are in his urine that means his body is not using the glucose in his blood stream (and if glucose is in his urine that means it is excessively high in his blood stream and is spilling over into his kidneys!) and his body is breaking down other things for energy which long-term is NOT healthy. In addition my other two hamsters do not have glucose or ketones in their urine. I am not a vet but I understand how diabetes works and several other vets have confirmed the diagnosis. When he started on glipizide his urine output went down drastically (was abnormally high before) and the ketones in his urine disappeared... that is enough proof for me. His breed is also very susceptible to diabetes... the fact that she did not know this and was not open to considering it was very concerning. She did not want to hear about his history at all and did not seem to believe this diagnosis. Other small things left a really bad taste in my mouth... before she had started examining him, when he was still in his travel cage she stated "the fact that he isn't scared of me means he's really sick" - why should he have been scared? She wasn't banging on his cage or talking loudly and hadn't touched him at all. He is a friendly little guy and loves people and yes he was sick but that was not evidence of it. It just concerned me that she would assume he is terrified of people... some hamsters are but definitely not all of them. I gave them two stars because the nurse and front desk staff were very nice and compassionate and their prices were very reasonable. I do not know how they are for cats and dogs but I would NOT recommend them for pocket pets. Read Less
