We offer a wide variety of services including radiology, laser assisted,soft tissue and orthopedic surgery,ultrasonography,endoscopic procedures, and laboratory services and diagnostics. We also carry a wide selection of flea/tick and heartworm preventative at competitive prices. We are always accepting new patients so give us a call today! We strive to provide excellent care and service for pets and also for their owners.

I had scheduled a vet appointment for my cat which I had unfortunately missed. After realizing I wouldn't be able to make it to that appointment I called and asked to reschedule to which the woman said that she didn't have any time slots that day but could fit me in the next morning at 8:30. I said that would be great and set my own schedule so I would be able to be there in the morning. I go through all the hassle of getting my cat there and am told that my appointment wasn't rescheduled and that they were booked solid for the day. (There was no one in the building) they have been consistently unreliable with my mother before. It is ridiculous.

Oh, and lest I forget to mention: "COMPASSION!!!!!!! They are also PASSIONATE!!! They give you unhurried, unrushed opportunities to ask questions and they thoroughly answer your questions. I truly appreciate and value their thoughtfulness when they actually show you and review with you your family member's test results----their lab results, their radiographs, their physical findings.
And I gotta tell you.........our animals receive far far far more thorough and comprehensive physical assessments than we humans do in our doctor's offices anymore. These veterinarians actually inspect, auscultate and palpate when examining our "kids" (haven't seen them utilize percussion----it's likely hard or impractical to utilize that assessment "tool" in the veterinary setting). At Fountain City Veterinary Hospital our family members ARE in the care of their excellent, compassionate, passionate, knowledgeable hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take to dogs to these people. A 5 month old husky and a 13 year old pomeranian. They handled both of my dogs in a different manner because they are different dogs. I love coming to fountain city. The staff is really friendly and the doctors are always helpful with questions about the dogs. I would recommend taking any animals you have here. :) I also find that they are reasonably affordable.

I admittedly don't have much experience with this place, so bare that in mind. I helped a friend get her dog checked out and the vet we saw was incredibly nice and talked to us about several different treatment options. He outlined the pros and cons as well as the price of each and every one. The rest of the staff were pretty nice too, had no issues at all with anyone, but I have only visited here twice.

When an emergency vet wanted $3600 to do orthopedic surgery on my kitty's broken back leg, or $2600 to amputate, Dr. Pettigrew and staff were able to insert a pin in his femur and save his leg - for a very reasonable cost. They have since taken care of our two other cats, always professionally and with perfect outcomes. One kitty has ongoing skin cancer issues, at age 17, and they are so good with him, despite his severe anxiety. I cannot recommend this office more highly. Fair prices, top quality care - and superb staff who genuinely care for each and every "patient" and their families! It is SO worth the 20 minute drive!

Dr. Kleiman knows his stuff! Took my recently inherited 9 year old cat there (previous owner died suddenly). He reviewed the past vet records, and recommended a blood test the past vet in Toledo had never done and then identified undiagnosed pancreatitis that had caused countless vet trips and food changes in the past with no success. The entire office's compassion for ensuring your pet suffers as little distress as possible during the visit is also top notch!

I've taken my fur baby there since I have gotten her and they have always worked on giving her the best care they can and are always checking up on her. We got a new pup and started him there too and again the best care that can be given. They all go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet is comfortable and they even send birthday e-cards for their "customers" and I think that is showing how much they do care about our fur babies...Thank you to all of the staff for going above and beyond to make sure my babies are well taken care of and making us feel comfortable. You all are AMAZING!!!

I've been going to Dr Pettigrew for 30yrs (Iam only 40 yrs old) when he was the only one that would look at my pet rabbits. That being said you would think that maybe Megan would treat my wife with a bit more respect and tact. She is horribly rude, disrespectful and not what Fountain City Vet over the years has been known for. We currently use three different vets in the area due to having farm animals. I clearly don't need to drive from the far side of Defiance County other than the fact I love Dr Pettigrew.

I wouldn't take my pets to anyplace else! In addition to providing excellent care for my dogs - they offer extended weekday hours and Saturday appointments. I work in Defiance but live in Bryan - these hours make it so convenient for me as I don't have to leave work early for appointments or to pick up scripts. Awesome staff all around! Would highly recommend.

I could not ask for a better vet than Dr. Darcy Adams. She is the most caring, and knowledgeable veterinarian I have ever found. She was a life-saver for one of our senior cats when she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and now our cat is looking and acting better than she has in years. The care we get from Fountain City Vet Hospital is excellent. All staff truly cares about our pets, and are not only professional, but extremely friendly as well. I could not be happier with our choice of vet.

My little Libby is diabetic and now blind but despite her advancing years, she still receives the respect and attention she deserves. Dr. Pettigrew always seems to be happy to see her and she loves going to the doctor. The fact that she has a very docile personality is a bonus in her favor. I'm not so sure Jesse and Piper will command the same performance. They're pistols! :-/

I had scheduled a vet appointment for my cat which I had unfortunately missed. After realizing I wouldn't be able to make it to that appointment I called and asked to reschedule to which the woman said that she didn't have any time slots that day but could fit me in the next morning at 8:30. The staff is really friendly and the doctors are always helpful with questions about the dogs. I would recommend taking any animals you have here. :) I also find that they are reasonably affordable.

He reviewed the past vet records, and recommended a blood test the past vet in Toledo had never done and then identified undiagnosed pancreatitis that had caused countless vet trips and food changes in the past with no success. They all go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet is comfortable and they even send birthday e-cards for their "customers" and I think that is showing how much they do care about our fur babies...Thank you to all of the staff for going above and beyond to make sure my babies are well taken care of and making us feel comfortable. I could not ask for a better vet than Dr. Darcy Adams. She is the most caring, and knowledgeable veterinarian I have ever found.
