Located in Burton, United States, the clinic is reputable and professional. The skilled team provides personalized wellness plans, regular check-ups, and comprehensive treatment options. Services often include Equine Care, Internal Medicine, Pain Management, Cardiology, Prescription Medications, Deworming, and Behavioral Counseling. These treatments are performed by meticulously concentrating on the preventative and responsive aspects of animal care, which encompasses a wide array of attention-demanding facets. The clinic is well-equipped, and the animals are not stressed or anxious, which means that one can expect accurate diagnosis and treatment. Pet owners often highlight the caring, attentive nature of the staff, which helps build lasting trust and rapport. Equine Specialty Hospital continues to grow as one of the cornerstones of the Burton, Ohio pet owner community. Whether we are helping young pets start life healthy or assisting mature ones to cope with chronic conditions, our teams of professionals are always prepared. The veterinarian’s desire to help animals is also manifested by their willingness to learn and remain up-to-date with the latest developments in the profession. This ensures that pets get the best possible care. Additionally, the practice encourages responsible pet ownership and community involvement. Veterinary services at Equine Specialty Hospital in Burton run on the speed of life of their clients. The clinic also implements practical communication, flexible scheduling, and follow-ups to meet local needs. A medical consultation typically starts with an analysis of one’s day-to-day activities such as how physically active a person is, what they eat, the amount of time spent outdoors, and any recent routine changes. Medical examinations extend to the eyes and ears, mouth and abdomen, skin, and locomotion. The staff members outline each step of the process, what the best practices are, any changes made recently and when it is appropriate to do follow-ups. Pet owners employ the tool to track development and plan for future steps. Equine Specialty Hospital provides vaccines, diagnostics, nutritional consulting, and parasitic/allergic/weight/dental care. Step-by-step plans to implement at home (considering the client’s time resources) for managing chronic conditions, such as arthritis and thyroid problems. Treatment paths provide an opportunity to select either short-term plans (phased care) or long-term monitoring according to the client’s lifestyle. The hospital sends digital summaries, refill reminders, and symptom logs to help patients stay on track at home. Households with multiple pets, in addition to caretakers that might alternate responsibilities, benefit from shared records and repeatable appointment scheduling. Every plan outlines costs, day-to-day visit schedules, and what to expect in the upcoming days and weeks. Equine Specialty Hospital makes veterinary care a part of everyday family life in Burton and surrounding Ohio neighborhoods by looking to organize and simplify the complex medical work.

I realized I never gave a review. My horse had squamous cell carcinoma, he had to have his eye removed. I was a nervous wreck. My boy was a rescue, he was very skeptical about barns and the stall was almost always out of the question at the time. They allowed me to bring my mare as my gelding followed her everywhere. It worked like a charm, he followed her right in the barn and in the stall. They let me stall her so my Belgian would be calm, they are great, respectable people and gave the absolute best care! Couldn't be happier with their services!!! Read Less

Thank you for taking such excellent care of my precious boy Dakota. Dakota had colic surgery and was doing extremely well. Five days after the surgery his abdomen ruptured and I lost him. That being said I would not have done anything any differently. Thanks to Dr. M and her team they gave my boy every chance they could at a full recovery. Something happened on day 5 after I left him that day. It was a great day and he had actually gotten to go out and graze on the lead line for an hour I was so happy. When I left him he was fine but by the time I got home I was told that his stomach ruptured and he would have to be put down and that they could not even wait for me to turn around and drive the 45 minutes back to say goodbye to my beloved boy. When I could not get there in time to say good bye they gave my boy the loving good bye I wish I could have. Everyone here is truly awesome. They took such excellent care of my boy Dakota! Dr . M and her team are so compassionate not only to the horses they are treating but also to those humans that come with those horses that are distraught and totally besides themselves with anxiety. They really care and it shows. Doctor Milligan is an amazing surgeon and a truly awesome person through and through. I cannot thank them all enough for everything they did for Cody. <3Read Less

The doctors and staff at ESH are truly angels put on Earth. The dedication and care for each of their patients (and owners) that walk through the door is simply second to none. I thank each and everyone of them for the work they did with my big boy as well as the job shadowing experience they provided me with.
