My boyfriend took my older dog and I there. He uses them for his own pup. It was an emergency! My vet was closed- and no help. My dogs first time here. It was almost closing time... I was overly worried, it was an emergency.- the Vet and tech's who worked with us were amazing. 2 hours after closing they still worked with us. The compassion we felt from them is truly heart warming. They gave us the time to grieve and the best options for Bren. Though it turned out sad- there was nothing that could be done. My pup was very very ill and her being older there wasn't much chance for her. It broke our hearts, yes. The care and understanding everyone held for my dog and us as her pup-parents is commendable. SIGNIFICANT price change. It is $72.00 for a 3 year rabies vaccine at VCA Burton. I was not made aware of this significant change until checkout. The type of the vaccine they have chosen to be given has changed. We moved here from out of state and am so grateful we have Burton Veterinarian. They helped us with our senior allergic Lhasa Herbie and also did everything they could to help our senior German Shepherd Chewy. It didn't matter that they were old they were so kind and helped us through their final days with much love and care for our pups. What impressed me most was the sweet cards they sent, personally signed by the staff after they passed. We now have an Old English Sheepdog who is a rescue and has a few issues. Dr. McKinney is amazing and worked excellently with his anxiety. I appreciate the staff and how nice everyone is and truly care about you and your pets. We left our last vet clinic because the vet techs made comments about how our 4-month old puppy became "aggressive" when they tried to trim his nails, and I was told, quite rudely, that I needed to take him to obedience class (he had already graduated to advanced obedience, but he is still an energetic puppy who can't sit still when he is excited). Timo is now 11 months, and I was a little anxious to take him to a new vet, but I was so pleased with the treatment Timo received from everyone working at the clinic. The vet techs were so encouraging and told me how sweet he was. Everyone was quick to pet him and praise him when he listened. Additionally, I love that I was in the room the whole time the procedures were being done. At our last place, they would take him from me immediately, and I never could see what they were doing to him--only hear yelping. At Burton, even when they did take him back to get his nails trimmed, he returned 5 minutes later with a "he was such a good boy!" The technicians at Burton are professionals who know how to handle squirmy pups! Dr. McKinney listened to what I was saying without rushing me.
