My dog's rx ran out. Label stated 2 pills ( 1mg) every 6 hours. Dr. Meyers instructed 5 mg every 6 hours , if the pharmacy had questions they were to call the dr. and she would call in his updated rx when needed. I called the office yesterday for a refill. This morning I recd a call from Fulton Animal Hospital stating that yogis rx will be called in only one more time as the Vet was concerned her DEA LICENSE would be flagged based on his dosage and then , and i quote, " after this, I am cutting you off. " HUH? Then I was referred by them to a trainer who informed me i have a severe case of separation anxiety on my hands ( 3 couches, 2 cages and a fence destroyed) and it could cost anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. They also suggested a plastic crate ( vet said no crate since he hurts himself.. this dude says box him up ) So after being quite pissed at the possible assumption that his rx was being used inappropriately I was told that the Dr. doesn't want him on Xanax longterm. A TOTALLY different reason that I was given this morning. Who in the hell uses the term " cutting you off" when we are dealing with a pet whose anxiety she has seen???? Called the office again and asked for something other than Xanax but to pls not take away that rx that is working until we find another solution. That was fine, but they want feedback from the dog trainer who is coming to the house for a free session. I was told the rx was called in, and then it was mentioned a MINIMUM of 5 more x that it would not be called in again. Hun, I heard ya twice the 1st time. We love the staff at this office and they always do a terrific job with our dogs. When we had to make the very difficult decision to put down our dog, Rocky, they were absolutely terrific. We were crazy emotional and they were patient and kind and even sent us a card afterward. The office feels clean and the staff is so kind. They are also very upfront about all of the costs. I want to thank everyone that helped me yesterday with my little dog Cody. We had a rough couple of days, of ER visits and a very sick doggie. Today was our first experience with this facility, and unfortunately, it was to euthanize our sweet 17 year old cat, Simon.  Our vet doesn't perform this service and Simon was suffering, so gratefully through Yelp, we saw nice reviews and chose them.  I couldn't even speak I was crying so hard, but they compassionately took charge, letting me hold him through the situation and it was incredibly peaceful for my boy.  No more pain.  Their thoughtfulness to our sorrow was appreciated and when there is a need for a vet in my future, they will be it for me. They took great care of my cat, Falcon, who has FIV and needed to have all her teeth removed. They did a great job, and it didn't cost me anywhere near what the other vet was going to charge.
