I left my dogs in Canal Winchester Vets care for five days being boarded. I am vacationing in Florida. My son picked them up today and they were in deplorable condition! My son called me to tell me that when they were delivered the dogs to him the person who delivered them said "man he stinks". I paid over $300.00 and was told that I would have to talk to the kennel manager and the office manager tomorrow. I am beyond furious! I have boarded my dogs many times all over Columbus and have never faced this! I am in Florida and my son had to take care of this! His car smells terrible too! These are my fur kids and this was a VET office that I trusted! I am so upset! Read Less

For almost 15 years myself and my crew of felines were thankful for the service that Winchester provided. We were so regular that they knew my voice over the phone. During emergencies, they remarkably made time for us. I never left there feeling that we didn't have an answer or a treatment. I miss you guys. I love Dr. Amber. She is very attentive to my two cats. She diagnosed my elderly cat with diabetes and was very supportive in our decision on how to treat him. We had to have him put down on Friday. Dr. Amber was off that day but made a special trip to be there to do it herself. It meant so much to have someone who knew him and cared about him to be there for that. When I went to pay the bill today, they also gave me a clay mold of my cat's paws with his name. They went above and beyond. Read Less

I just want to thank the staff for responding quickly, fitting me in and helping me lay my old friend, Picabo, 15 1/2yrs old,to rest last Tuesday. They really showed care and compassion, stayed with me every step of the way. They didn't rush me , but instead helped to make a hard time bearable. We had brought our 10 year old Dachshund, Patches in back in November. We found out he had a large tumor growing inside of him and that our time with him was limited. On December 24th we brought him in to have him put to sleep. It was one of the most difficult and heart breaking things we have ever had to do. The staff and doctor was so compassionate and we are so thankful for how well they treated us and Patches. We had him cremated and picked up the box with his ashes today.(12/31/13). We were so surprised with the special gift that we were given with it. More tears were shed, but so thankful with the care we have received there and will be bringing all of our pets for care/treatment in the future. Read Less

Took our cat in for what we found out to be, a UTI. The staff was excellent, the place was clean, and i couldnt complain about a thing. They even recomended a vet to follow up with in a few days, My cat responded well to the medication, and everything was fine from there on... The only reason i didnt give this place a 5 was because it was a little pricey compared to other places, What should have cost $300-350 was $500 out the door. But i guess you cant expect cheap from an ER vet. Read Less

We've always had 2 sets of vets for our animals:  Groveport Animal Clinic for our cats and dogs and Winchester Vet Clinic for our sheep.  All through 4-H, Dr Haynes would come out to our farm and provide the health documentation required for me to show them at the local fairs.  He never charged me either!  Instead, I'd trade him between 5 and 10 pints of the Raspberries we grew for him and his office staff.Recently, we found ourselves looking for a vet who would accept a voucher for neutering from the Advocat program and Winchester Vet Clinic did.  We had never been there for our small animals but we knew that they were a good place.  I made an appointment and they were friendly and told me exactly what I needed to prepare my cat for the procedure.When we dropped him off, he was petrified, but the staff was gentle and calm and he calmed down quickly.  Unlike the horrible place we had taken our other cat, they were also going to keep him overnight just to make sure he was OK and so he could have pain medication (I'm feeling more and more sorry for our other cat and his experience now!).When we went to pick him up, the vet tech got us up to speed on how he did (he wasn't happy, but did fine), went over his weight and other health indicators, and then went over post-op instructions including written instructions to which we could refer.All in all, a wonderful place to bring your small and large animals alike!
