I went to Dr. Scaravelli for a few years, with no issues. During one routine visit, I brought in my kitties with my boyfriend, who at the time all had eye infections/ conjunctivits. Dr. Scaravelli told me that the likely cause was bacterial and viral, as one might expect - probably chlamydia or herpes. She eyed both me and my boyfriend skeptically and asked if either of us had chlamydia or herpes, which was awkward and unprofessional. When we told her no we did not, her demeanor still didn't change and the rest of the exam was still awkward. I work in healthcare, so I understand her needing to r/o things diagnostically, but it was the accusing manner in which she did it. We have used Dr. Scarvelli and Dr. Eldridge to care for our 2 cats and 3 dogs for over 15 years. We have always found them to be very caring and knowledgeable with whatever issues we've had to deal with. From bladder cancer to thyroid imbalances to my cat swallowing a large button and needing surgery - they have always given us excellent treatment at reasonable vet prices. They have made time for us in emergency situations and showed great sensitivity when we had to euthanize our dog of 12 years. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the new facility is extremely clean and well equipped. We have no reservations recommending the Chagrin Animal Clinic to friends and family. I took my dog to have his teeth cleaned and I knew they would have to pull a few but not over 22! To top it off the guy is so rough that he actually broke the dogs jaw a day or 2 later. Poor thing, he was blind and deaf too. Needless to say we had to put him down because he was being torchered enough by the man. Word to the wise go elsewhere.
