Welcome to the Chagrin Valley Veterinary Clinic. Founded in 1970, we are one of the oldest established veterinary hospitals in Ohio’s Chagrin Valley. We strive to provide the highest levels of veterinary medical and surgical services for your dog or cat in a caring, supportive environment. Whether you bring your pet to us for wellness examinations, vaccinations, x-rays, or dental care, we aim to provide the highest level of quality care to fulfill your pet’s needs.
The clinic is only as good as its people, and we feel we have some of the best. Dr. Ted Panhuis, a graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, founded our practice. He was joined by Dr. Conrad Griffith in 2001, an established veterinarian with twelve years of previous experience at a clinic in Rhode Island. The doctors are supported by senior veterinary technician Carrie Tabor, who has been with us since 1982, and several other veterinary assistants who have each been with us for six years or more. Our doctors feel they have been fortunate to have such a dedicated, caring, and long-serving staff.

Dr G and his staff are best in class. I’ve seen them for the past 2 years, and they helped me through the treatment and eventual passing of one of my beloved dogs. I’ve never felt more confident in my choice to see Dr Griffiths and his staff, they were so compassionate, sincere, and supportive during a very difficult time. They also have provided excellent annual and wellness care for our other dog, never pushing unnecessary treatments or procedures. I’m sure they aren’t the least expensive in the area but it’s worth the money to know your animals best interests are top priority, and they also rarely run behind schedule (bonus!) Anytime anyone asks me for a vet recommendation, I send them here. Awesome clinic!!

Dr. Griffith and his staff are nothing but kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I feel like everyone there genuinely cares about my pet's wellbeing as much as I do. It is a little on the pricier side but the support and resources you receive in exchange are absolutely worth it.

We are a dog loving family, and have lived in Chagrin Falls for 23 years. After floundering around for a while trying to find the right Vet, we found this practice and have been happy, loyal patient/customers for a long time. Conrad Griffith has continued and grown the warm, compassionate, intelligent soul of the place. He will listen to you, and partner with you, because he knows you understand your pet like nobody else. He knows the newest, the cutting edge stuff, but he also knows common sense and balance. And the front office staff is unfailingly knowledgeable, empathetic and business like. If you love your pet like crazy (and most of us do) it's great to find a Vet who's sane. And there are some out there who aren't.
Dr. Griffith is the BEST.

Dr Griffith and his staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and competent. He's not cheap, but you are paying for quality. Dr Griffith specializes in veterinary surgery and, speaking as a nurse, is darned good at it. He saved me a considerable amount of cash by removing mast cell tumors from my Golden (he ALWAYS had clear margins, which is the Holy Grail of oncology surgery), instead of referring us to an Oncological Surgeon. There's a reason why everyone in Chagrin Falls takes their pets here... He's that good.

My dogs have all enjoyed the services of CVVC. Dr Griffith is a top notch veterinarian and always takes his time with my dogs, making sure to give them the very best care. He is also a conscientious and skilled surgeon. The staff are wonderfully friendly. I would recommend them to all interested families who are looking for the very best vet clinic around.

One of my two present companions has been through a great deal of serious issues. Dr Griffith has always taken the time to talk me through alternatives and provide sound, caring and realistic advice. Dr G and his staff are best in class. I’ve seen them for the past 2 years, and they helped me through the treatment and eventual passing of one of my beloved dogs. I’ve never felt more confident in my choice to see Dr Griffiths and his staff, they were so compassionate, sincere, and supportive during a very difficult time. They also have provided excellent annual and wellness care for our other dog, never pushing unnecessary treatments or procedures. After floundering around for a while trying to find the right Vet, we found this practice and have been happy, loyal patient/customers for a long time.
