I picked up an Angel's Paws brochure a few years ago at my vet's office thinking I'd hold onto until until many, many years down the road when my pets are of old age. And then months later, we received the terminal diagnosis of our cat Cooper, just 7 years old. Dealing with the impending loss of a pet is never easy no matter the age or circumstances. I immediately called Angel's Paws and they saw us through the process and made the most difficult time bearable. We were able to say good bye to him in our home with his sibling close by so she never had to wonder what happened to him. Since then it's been my mission to spread the word about these angels so no pet parent has to face saying goodbye alone, afraid, not sure if they are making the right decision. We just said goodbye to another cat, Penny, with Angel's Paws in 2016. She was the first pet we have had cremated and it was such a seamless process and beautiful service in their chapel. It was eye-opening to find out that most crematories have multiple pets at a time. Angel's Paws is just one, privately, with the same dignity and respect as humans receive. I would have never thought to ask. I know that many people worry about the finances, but I feel that peace of mind has no price tag. The cost of a full year of "Pet Parent Peace of Mind" 24/7 service, is the same as just walking through the doors at an emergency vet in the middle of the night ONCE. Once enrolled you never have to worry about what will happen if your pet is having difficulties in the middle of the night, weekend or holiday when your primary vet is closed. I encourage everyone to give them a call, as soon as you get a terminal diagnosis or start wondering about "what if" scenarios. I've heard others say that they felt that phone call was giving up on their pet, but rather discovered it was giving them hope. Read Less

I cannot thank Angels Paws enough for how amazing they were with my sweet Otis' transition over the Rainbow Bridge! When it was time for Otis to transition I knew I didn't want to take him to the vet for this since he had seizures(he was deaf and would get extremely nervous causing the seizures) every time we had to go. Finding Angel's Paws was such a blessing knowing my baby could peacefully pass at home with me and his fur sister, Dayse by his side. The tech that came to my house was truly amazing! She explained every step and was so understanding and sympathetic. Every little detail was thought of with so much care and love! I highly recommend Angel's Paws and will never send another animal over the rainbow bridge any other way! Thank you, thank you, thank you Angel's Paws and staff! Y'all are true blessings!! Angel's Paws was such a blessing when our Chopper was at the end of his life. Everyone was compassionate and understanding through the process. Our calls were always answered or returned very quickly. It was a difficult and emotional time, and everyone we interacted with answered our questions with genuine care and concern. When Chopper took a turn for the worst on a Sunday night, Helen was there within an hour. Our four-legged family member was treated with dignity and respect at all times. Being able to do this at home allowed for such a peaceful and calm environment that our young sons stayed with our dog until the end. We had Grandma there just in case, but I truly think the comfort of being at home kept both the dog and the boys relaxed. Chopper's passing was one filled with love, and our hearts broke a little less for being able to say goodbye in this way. I can't say enough about the support and peace of mind Angel's Paws provided us. We are forever grateful.Read Less

My family is so blessed to have had Angel Paws in our life. We had to put our beloved Pepper down a couple weeks ago, and it was the most peaceful way I would have wanted her to go. The staff are all so sentimental and caring. You can tell they aren't just doing it for the money they actually care. Tammy called our house right after it happened and she talked to me for almost an hour it really helped. We had the memorial for Pepper last night and it put my heart to ease. I'm eternally grateful for Angels Paws. I only wish I'd called sooner. Our 14 1/2-year-old boxer Nina had been steadily declining for about a year. She had nerve damage that caused her to drag her back legs and she'd had multiple surgeries for mast cell carcinoma that kept reappearing in different parts of her body. We were managing her symptoms as well as we could, but it became increasingly difficult to watch her legs deteriorate and to see her clearly in pain. We thought it was time to consider final options when we found Angels Paws. The idea of home euthanasia where the pet is comfortable during the procedure is breakthrough. By the time I called Tammy at Angels Paws, we thought the end had come for Nina and I was a complete wreck - barely able to articulate the issues to Tammy through my tears. Tammy was incredibly kind and understanding, she even gave me her personal cell number so that I had her support. I called on a Wednesday and she got us an appointment with Dr. Kate, their vet, for that Friday afternoon. Dr. Kate was amazing with Nina and our other dog, Maggie, never making Nina uncomfortable. Dr. Kate diagnosed that Nina had a tooth abscess that was likely causing a lot of pain, and she explained that Nina's back legs were a problem due to nerve damage and not arthritis like we thought. She helped us understand that we were doing the right thing by considering euthanasia but that if we weren't ready, she could prescribe some pills that might reduce Nina's pain. The diagnosis was a miracle! By Friday night, Nina was downstairs playing carefully with our neighbors' dogs and her cheek was no longer swollen. Angels Paws bought us 4 more weeks with our precious Nina until she had deteriorated to the point where it was time. When we found Nina experiencing labored breathing at about 9:30pm, we called Angels Paws and they hit the road to our house right away. They arrived around 10:30pm, explained the process, worked around us while we held Nina, and showed genuine care for us and our beloved pet. When the time came, it was painless and peaceful. They even wrapped Nina in blankets so that she looked asleep for when they carried her out on the stretcher. Tammy also left behind grieving pet parent information and gave me a comforting hug on her way out at about 12:30am. Calling Angels Paws was the hardest thing I've ever done, but they helped us make the best out of a bad situation. If I'd called sooner, I may have been able to improve Nina's quality of life even more. I recommend calling Angels Paws and enrolling in their Pet Parent Peace of Mind program as soon as you think you might need them. I'm forever grateful for the care and respect that Tammy and Angels Paws showed me, my husband, and my baby. Read Less

I asked Angel Paws for their help. Due to all of the chemo treatments my dog was terrified of going to the vets and I thought this was the kindest thing I could do for her. Even though we were out of their geographical range they still were able to come to us to assist. They were professional and caring. They also encouraged us to include our other dogs in the process. This was incredible. The other pack members accepted her passing and moved on which is what I had hoped would happen. I so strongly recommend them!! When it became clear that it was time to say goodbye to our sweet 14 year old Dane/Lab mix, Chico, we were devastated. I was especially distraught at the thought of causing him more pain and anxiety by trying to get him to the vets office. I began to research at-home options when I found Angel's Paws site. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed at the cost but decided to research all of my options and make the best decision for my family and for Chico. I made calls to several mobile vets who provide in-home euthenasia services (for a much lower price) but wasn't sure they were right for us. When I made the call to find out more information about Angel's Paws, I was immediately calmed and reassured after speaking with Tammy for just a few minutes. I knew right away that this was absolutely the right thing to do and the right way to do it. The respect and dignity with which Chico was treated, and the kindness and compassion shown to our family made what could have been a very traumatic and sad experience one that I will remember as a genuinely peaceful and loving way to say goodbye. I cannot imagine having gone through this process in any other way, and am so thankful that I found Angel's Paws when I needed them! Read Less

Our baby girl, Roxy, was diagnosed with inoperable cancer seemingly out of the blue. To say we were devastated doesn't even come close. We did everything we could possibly find to keep her going. Making the call to Angel's Paws was the hardest call we've ever made. However, it ended up being one of the best. Dr. Kate came out for our evaluation and everyone, including Roxy, immediately felt better. We knew we were going to have support and guidance during the rough days ahead. We knew Roxy was getting sicker, and we did not want her to suffer. But, we also didn't want to say goodbye before we had to. Having Tammy and the team to talk to whenever we were feeling lost and scared was priceless. They even helped us with some magic tricks to get Roxy's pain medication in her effortlessly. Saying a final goodbye with Roxy was heartbreaking. This wound may never heal. But, Angel's Paws made it as serene, peaceful, and respectful as possible. At first I thought the price was high for this service. The very first day, I realized it was the bargain of a lifetime. I'm so thankful that an in home pet euthanasia service like Angel Paws exists.  They helped make an incredibly difficult and sad situation into peaceful one.  For $25 you can sign up to have them on call for a year.  Additional charges apply once you call them to schedule with them.Angel Paws allowed us to be with our cat Winston in our own home when we let him go.  It meant so much to us to have Winston not be distressed in a strange environment.  They gave us time to be with him once he passed and bundled him up in a cat bed with a blanket over him.  It was such a relief to see Winston not struggling anymore and finally at peace.Angel Paws spent some time talking with us about our loss and left us pet grieving pamphlets. They really understood how a pet could be family and stressed how we needed time to grieve. When we came to pick up Winston's ashes, I didn't expect much.  I thought they'd just hand us a box and we'd be on our way.  Instead we were led into a private room where soft music was playing.  It was kind of like a mini church with rows of chairs facing a table.  On the table they had laid out a small shrine like arrangement with a beautiful wooden carved box that housed Winston's ashes.  Next to the box were two paw prints marks and fur clippings they had taken of Winston.  They also made a plaster paw print ornament with an impression of his foot.  I immediately burst into tears at the touching scene.  These people really care and they absolutely GET it.  Losing a pet can be just like losing a child or other family member.  They encouraged to take some time in that room with him.  My husband and I will never forget this experience with Angel Paws.  They truly were like Angels to us.

Read Less
