Will never go there again. Been going for 25 years and had excellent treatment despite the outrageous prices. Called for flea treatment and the receptionist Marie cussed me out and hung up the phone after I told her I would not pay for a exam for flea treatment. We have always used over the counter and never had to have a exam. Then when I called back taylor was in the middle of listening to me and hung up on me. I have 6 animals that WILL be new patients somewhere else.

Over the last decade or so, I've had 5 dogs and have taken all of them to Covedale Pet Hospital for their care. While I am very partial to one of the doctors, I have never received anything less than excellent care and compassion for each and every one of my dogs. Prices are reasonable, they are always helpful. Personally I will never go anywhere else.

I never have a bad experience here. The vets and vet techs all know Koba. I usually show up right on time or 5 minutes early. My wait time is about 5 to 10 minutes. And they're usually really fast about getting him in and out, but the doctor always takes time to get to know Koba. Only downside is last time I went it was a different veterinarian. So I'm not sure if I have to request my specific Vet. But I'm a strong believer in 'if I start with you, I'd like all my visits to be with you'. The other vet was nice, less communicative with Koba, but still very polite. The facilities is very clean, and they take pride in that. Prices are very very reasonable. I used to take my other dog to Banfield and I'm pretty sure, what I pay at Covedale, I'd pay 2 top 3 times that at Banfield! Koba got his third round boosters plus rabies and his L4, $75 bucks. In my opinion that's a good price for all three plus vet visit and nail trim.

They are always slow. Always. I don't think I've ever been there for less than 45-hour for a 3-5 minute routine examine for either of my two cats.
As far as friendly, I've never experience anyone being rude. Generally, I'd say the staff is friendly. They just are slow. Everything is a chore. Getting your paperwork. Finding a prescription. Calling to make an appointment.
So, why the bad review? Today, I took my cat in for his regular appointment. I was running behind, but because I always wait for 20+ minutes I figured I'd still show up. I apologized for running behind, when I checked and and no objections were made. They get me into an exam room in 5-10 minutes and check my cats temperature and tell me the doctor will be right in.
Nope.
I waited for 40 minutes and finally opened the door and asked if I had been forgotten about. The woman was nice and said she would check with them in the back. A couple minutes later a girl comes in to tell me that they are prepping his booster shot and will be in at any minute. She was bubbly and friendly, but didn't apologize for the delay.
20 minutes later and I'm ready to put my cat in the crate and leave and the Dr walks in. She asked how I was and I said I honestly wasn't happy. I said that I had been waiting for an hour. She then tells me that I was late. Yeah, I accept that, but if you can't fit me in, don't lead me to believe that everything is normal when its not. I decided on the spot that I was done in my mind and that I would rather not have the cat examined.
I apologized to the doctor for being rude if I had been, I felt bad because I had never met her.
Long story short. This place is not awful, but for someone who values my time, I don't have time for this. This is the first and only veterinarians office that I've ever been to, so who knows if others are better.

Almost certain my appointment was not on the schedule when I previously booked. Lady at the front desk could not find my appointment, but I still got my pet to see the vet. Facility was very clean and staff was welcoming. The exotics Veterinarian was great, she was checking out my crested gecko. She was very specific and explained terminology we didn't understand. Will bring future pets to this office.

Love this place!! I've been coming here for many years. They've treated my dogs, cats and today, my 12 year old daughters hamster. My daughter was sooo devastated that her beloved hamster "Daisy" was sick. She's 2 years old and my wife and I figured she was nearing the end. They were able to give her fluids, antibiotics and a special food for sick rodents. An hour after being home and she is back to baseline. They treat all animals with equal respect. We will happily continue to bring our furry family members here. (Our pug has a checkup next Wednesday ).

If you know me or Kendra, you know that Reggie is our first born. He means the world to both of us. This lil' dumpster pup has made us both so happy, and we both know we saved him from certain death. Well, he has not been feeling well this whole weekend, and we were in shambles. I mean there were tears, people. Say what you will, but as a pet person, seeing a creature you love be obviously ill with no way to communicate it is absolutely heart-wrenching. Well, it was communicated to us at Covedale Pet Hospital. Everyone was amazingly kind and complimentary, they were very calm around him and ultimately calmed him down because of it, and the doctor, Colleen FitzGibbon, was absolutely born to help sick animals. I think simply her voice made him feel better already, but she was very communicative and she handled his high energy very well. I honestly don't feel like I paid enough to go there, and will absolutely go back for any need we might have. Do your pet a favor and take them to Covedale Pet Hospital.

My husband and I had 2 of our pets in for issues this past week and we were very pleased with our experiences. The hospital is very clean and inviting, the staff are warm and friendly, Dr. Obert is extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was obvious to us that everyone we encountered truly love and enjoy animals. The prices are very reasonable, you will not be nickeled and dimed here, something we have encountered often at other animal hospitals. We will definitely be back with our 5 other pets. I'm very nervous and picky when it comes to my cat. How can I not be? She's my baby. Before moving here about 4 months ago, I was entirely involved in her vet care, as I was a vet assistant. I was in the back with her all the time and was always there when anything happened. Obviously, that cannot be the case if I don't work at the clinic, which I completely understand. The vet I saw about 3 months ago (I know, late review, but I've been busy) was so personable and sweet. My cat has early renal failure at the age of 5. I gave everything to the vet that I had, her entire vet history, list of foods, medications she has been on and can't take, everything. We discussed everything from where the closest emergency vet is to what we will continue to do to provide my cat with the best care possible. I'm 100% satisfied with the vet care she received on that first visit and the care I know she will receive in all future visits.

We love Covedale Pet Hospital for their genuine care for each of our pets. Our whole family goes there for all of our pets, from turtle to Cane Corso, and everyone in between. We love how our pets are all treated so gently and are always greeted by name when we come in the door. Similarly, they make follow up calls to check on our pets after care has been given. It is easy to schedule appointments and they offer great advice on home remedies for common concerns. I highly recommend this vet!

Hips are bone on bone. Need to give him joint therapy meds and laser therapy for comfort. Took the cat to another vet for second opinion. Hip displasia was never mentioned. Covedale Pet Hospital cannot read X-rays properly. I cried for four days between visits thinking I was going to have to put my beloved pet to sleep. Office staff not accommodating to provide name of owner so we could have an adult conversation about the misdiagnosis. All these people want to do is push laser therapy and joint care meds because it's easy money. That's exactly what they promote on their on hold message too.

Will never go there again. Been going for 25 years and had excellent treatment despite the outrageous prices. Called for flea treatment and the receptionist Marie cussed me out and hung up the phone after I told her I would not pay for a exam for flea treatment. We have always used over the counter and never had to have a exam. Then when I called back taylor was in the middle of listening to me and hung up on me. I have 6 animals that WILL be new patients somewhere else.

While I am very partial to one of the doctors, I have never received anything less than excellent care and compassion for each and every one of my dogs. Prices are reasonable, they are always helpful. Personally I will never go anywhere else.

I never have a bad experience here. The vets and vet techs all know Koba. I usually show up right on time or 5 minutes early. My wait time is about 5 to 10 minutes. And they're usually really fast about getting him in and out, but the doctor always takes time to get to know Koba. Only downside is last time I went it was a different veterinarian. So I'm not sure if I have to request my specific Vet. But I'm a strong believer in 'if I start with you, I'd like all my visits to be with you'. The other vet was nice, less communicative with Koba, but still very polite. The facilities is very clean, and they take pride in that. Prices are very very reasonable. I used to take my other dog to Banfield and I'm pretty sure, what I pay at Covedale, I'd pay 2 top 3 times that at Banfield! Koba got his third round boosters plus rabies and his L4, $75 bucks. In my opinion that's a good price for all three plus vet visit and nail trim.

They are always slow. Always. I don't think I've ever been there for less than 45-hour for a 3-5 minute routine examine for either of my two cats.
As far as friendly, I've never experience anyone being rude. Generally, I'd say the staff is friendly. They just are slow. Everything is a chore. Getting your paperwork. Finding a prescription. Calling to make an appointment.
So, why the bad review? Today, I took my cat in for his regular appointment. I was running behind, but because I always wait for 20+ minutes I figured I'd still show up. I apologized for running behind, when I checked and and no objections were made. They get me into an exam room in 5-10 minutes and check my cats temperature and tell me the doctor will be right in.
Nope.
I waited for 40 minutes and finally opened the door and asked if I had been forgotten about. The woman was nice and said she would check with them in the back. A couple minutes later a girl comes in to tell me that they are prepping his booster shot and will be in at any minute. She was bubbly and friendly, but didn't apologize for the delay.
20 minutes later and I'm ready to put my cat in the crate and leave and the Dr walks in. She asked how I was and I said I honestly wasn't happy. I said that I had been waiting for an hour. She then tells me that I was late. Yeah, I accept that, but if you can't fit me in, don't lead me to believe that everything is normal when its not. I decided on the spot that I was done in my mind and that I would rather not have the cat examined.
I apologized to the doctor for being rude if I had been, I felt bad because I had never met her.
Long story short. This place is not awful, but for someone who values my time, I don't have time for this. This is the first and only veterinarians office that I've ever been to, so who knows if others are better.

Almost certain my appointment was not on the schedule when I previously booked. Lady at the front desk could not find my appointment, but I still got my pet to see the vet. Facility was very clean and staff was welcoming. The exotics Veterinarian was great, she was checking out my crested gecko. She was very specific and explained terminology we didn't understand. Will bring future pets to this office.

Love this place!! I've been coming here for many years. They've treated my dogs, cats and today, my 12 year old daughters hamster. My daughter was sooo devastated that her beloved hamster "Daisy" was sick. She's 2 years old and my wife and I figured she was nearing the end. They were able to give her fluids, antibiotics and a special food for sick rodents. An hour after being home and she is back to baseline. They treat all animals with equal respect. We will happily continue to bring our furry family members here. (Our pug has a checkup next Wednesday ).

If you know me or Kendra, you know that Reggie is our first born. He means the world to both of us. This lil' dumpster pup has made us both so happy, and we both know we saved him from certain death. Well, he has not been feeling well this whole weekend, and we were in shambles. I mean there were tears, people. Say what you will, but as a pet person, seeing a creature you love be obviously ill with no way to communicate it is absolutely heart-wrenching. Well, it was communicated to us at Covedale Pet Hospital. Everyone was amazingly kind and complimentary, they were very calm around him and ultimately calmed him down because of it, and the doctor, Colleen FitzGibbon, was absolutely born to help sick animals. I think simply her voice made him feel better already, but she was very communicative and she handled his high energy very well. I honestly don't feel like I paid enough to go there, and will absolutely go back for any need we might have. Do your pet a favor and take them to Covedale Pet Hospital.

My husband and I had 2 of our pets in for issues this past week and we were very pleased with our experiences. The hospital is very clean and inviting, the staff are warm and friendly, Dr. Obert is extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. It was obvious to us that everyone we encountered truly love and enjoy animals. The prices are very reasonable, you will not be nickeled and dimed here, something we have encountered often at other animal hospitals. We will definitely be back with our 5 other pets. I'm very nervous and picky when it comes to my cat. How can I not be? She's my baby. Before moving here about 4 months ago, I was entirely involved in her vet care, as I was a vet assistant. I was in the back with her all the time and was always there when anything happened. Obviously, that cannot be the case if I don't work at the clinic, which I completely understand. The vet I saw about 3 months ago (I know, late review, but I've been busy) was so personable and sweet. My cat has early renal failure at the age of 5. I gave everything to the vet that I had, her entire vet history, list of foods, medications she has been on and can't take, everything. We discussed everything from where the closest emergency vet is to what we will continue to do to provide my cat with the best care possible. I'm 100% satisfied with the vet care she received on that first visit and the care I know she will receive in all future visits.

We love Covedale Pet Hospital for their genuine care for each of our pets. Our whole family goes there for all of our pets, from turtle to Cane Corso, and everyone in between. We love how our pets are all treated so gently and are always greeted by name when we come in the door. Similarly, they make follow up calls to check on our pets after care has been given. It is easy to schedule appointments and they offer great advice on home remedies for common concerns. I highly recommend this vet!

Took my cat there in November, December and February for the same issue (limping on front paw). Finally had a full X-ray to look at and was told the cat had severe hip displasia. Hips are bone on bone. Need to give him joint therapy meds and laser therapy for comfort. Took the cat to another vet for second opinion. Hip displasia was never mentioned. Covedale Pet Hospital cannot read X-rays properly. I cried for four days between visits thinking I was going to have to put my beloved pet to sleep. Office staff not accommodating to provide name of owner so we could have an adult conversation about the misdiagnosis. All these people want to do is push laser therapy and joint care meds because it's easy money. That's exactly what they promote on their on hold message too.
