Dr Goodman is a wonderful, caring person and doctor. My husband and I foster white shepherds. Many times when we get the dogs they are in bad shape. Dr Goodman has always taken great care of all of them and has fit me into her busy schedule when I have a sick dog. My dog came in vomiting blood massively and was turned away for non appointment! This was an emergency situation!!! This place is inhumane and should be charged with animal cruelty, i will be having an investigation done in hopes to change their policy or have them shut down. Dont call yourself a hospital if all you do is give out dog treats and send them on their way. Read Less

I took my dog today for a check up and was amazed how friendly the people are there. The Vet educated me and my son on our dog and the best part was the bill was not expensive at all. I felt that the vet genuinely cared and took time to make sure my dog was Ok and didn't suggest extra things just to add to the bill like other animal clinics on Colerain that shall remain anonymous. After two visits to this veterinarian, I must say we are IMPRESSED. We have suffered not one but three bad experiences with local Vets in the last few years.  Dr. Stratemeyer was not intimidated by all of this and did a thorough and personable examination of our young Westie pup and elderly mixed dog including helping us with housebreaking tips and cutting the older dog's nails without being asked. I went in with my dog and at first, I really liked all of the front staff. They were caring, sweet, and really helpful. However, I am VERY upset with Steven Stratemeyer. He has ZERO compassion, and he didn't even ask my permission before taking certain tests with my dog. When he mentioned her nails needed trimmed, I said I clip them at home but he went ahead and did it anyway and charged me $13 FOR A NAIL TRIM. not to mention the $30 he charged me for a test on my dog that I did not authorize. I spent $43 extra at this place on things my dog didn't need, and that I wasn't asked for permission for. I am so so angry. I am never taking my dog back there again. Horrible vet, horrible communicator, and overall just not a very nice man. To the two women up front who were helpful and actually communicated with me, I think this man could learn a thing or two from you.Read Less

Both of my dogs have been to Dr. S since they were babies, he and the staff have always been great...we moved to AZ 7 months ago and my older dog had some health concerns that I took her to a local vet for...not feeling I got the treatment this other vet gave me was right, I called Dr. S...he called me back and told me exactly what to do....I can't thank he enough, I've always trusted him, we miss Evendale Vet Hospital and the loving care my pets always received...I wouldnt go anywhere else!! Dr. Stratemeyer and his staff are FANTASTIC!! They treated my dog, Debo, like a beloved member of their family. When he became ill and passed away, they were very kind to me and my furry child. I've had every thing from emergencies with 2 Labradors and a beagle boxer whom I rescued and she is in great health and now routine visits and teeth cleaning . My dog has an abscess and needs a professional look, but this veterinarian is unwilling to work with anything but payment up front. Holiday season has emptied my coffers and I tried to work out a way to have my dog seen and pay next week. Would not recommend this place based on their bottom line policies. Read Less

Good small pet hospital to take your pet. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They have either 2 cats or one small dog that hangs behind/around the office (cats go wherever they want, the dog usually stays at the desk and comes out every once in a while)....you're own individual welcoming committee! I Have used evendale pet hospital for eight years and took five dogs there. I found the best service and a real interest in my dogs. The charges are a lot less expensive than my personal doctor charges. I travel 50 miles round trip just to see this Dr. I give him an excellent rating.Read Less
