It’s very important to me that I take my pets to an AAHA accreditated clinic, which glenway is. Smelled extremely clean as soon as I walked in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Keller and the RVT really listened to me and spent plenty of time answering my questions and talking through care for my sick kitten. If I could give this place 10 stars, I honest to God would. I don’t write many detailed reviews, but this place surpassed my expectations so greatly, that I am making sure to do my service to them in writing a glowing review. First things first, one of my cats had started acting rather abnormally, and his state degraded to the point where my wife and I determined that he needed to be seen by a vet immediately. I called Glenway as soon as they took calls, at 7 AM; the kind woman who answered stated they unfortunately did not have an available appointment until 9:45, but once I described the severity of my cat’s symptoms, she asked me to hold, talked with one of the vets, and told me they would see him immediately. I arrived at Glenway, and was warmly greeted by the two secretaries in the front room. I had been there no sooner than a couple of minutes, when a wonderful vet tech came out to escort me back to a waiting room. She took my cat’s vitals, wrote a symptoms description, and within a couple of minutes, the vet himself, Dr. Brian came in to see the cat. Within 30 seconds, he diagnosed a severe bladder obstruction, clearly explained how he knew, described all of the risks involved in treatment, and gave complete transparency of what would be involved logistically and financially. Based on the research I had done on possible conditions prior to bringing my cat in, everything the doc told me lined up completely, so I had no sense that I was “being taken for a ride.” Once Dr. Brian walked out, another vet tech immediately walked in to run through a detailed estimate that gave the expected low and high financial end of providing care. Compared to what I would have expected from an emergency vet visit, the estimate was absolutely reasonable, and was nowhere close to the horror stories I had read from people who had taken an animal in for emergency care. After leaving my cat in the clinic’s care, I have so far received not one, not two, but literally three calls from Dr. Brian himself detailing all status updates. This was wonderful for peace of mind, and he never once came across as condescending, or curt. I didn’t initially expect, nor request this level of service, so the fact that he took the time to do this made me all the more motivated to write a good review. I could tell from the noise in the background that he was busy when he called, but he still took the time to answer all questions I had, completely, without ever coming across as rushed or rude. I am now confident that my cat will come through fine, and I couldn’t be happier with the level of service I have received from this clinic. Brought my pet rat here when she broke her tooth and had a bad infection that unfortunately took her life. These people did everything they could to save her and they were really friendly and nice to her and kept stress to a minimum. They have made my grieving easier with their kindness and even sent me her paw prints. Which was the best Christmas gift I could have gotten. This animal hospital is amazing! My poor kitty had an ingrown toenail that need attention as soon as possible. They fit us in the same day and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. When I got a new phone, this was one of the first numbers I made sure to enter in.  I've been coming here with my cats (and now dogs) for years.  I love the staff and all four of the vets are great.  I'm the kind of obsessive pet owner that will even pay more to get my cats fixed somewhere I trust, even though it's way more expensive - I trust this place to watch my babies for a day and cut them open.  That's impressive, is all I'm saying.  The vets are always comforting and if one of my cats is having an issue (my little Arthur was having urinary issues lately, for example) they give me their email addresses and check in.  When Arthur had to have a weekend stay elsewhere due to hours, the vet (Dr. Brian Cron, in this case) called in to see how he was doing then reported to me!  My animals are looked after carefully, doted on, and kept healthy.  Wouldn't want to take my pets anywhere else.  The two drawbacks are the lot/location (not too many spaces, but I've never had an issue- and on Glenway Ave, but I always get to turn out going with traffic to get home, so again...) and their weekend hours - short on Saturday and closed Sunday.  This is general and standard practice for vet clinics though, so can't really hold it against them- there's great emergency vet information on their website in case something comes up.  Plus- they are AAHA Accredited, which is a hoop they don't have to jump through, but they do.  Which is always impressive. If I could give 10 stars I would. I would recommend to all exotic pet owners or any pet parent in general. We took our ferret here in critical condition as a last resort after being misdiagnosed by another vet. The care and compassion of all the staff was unbelievable. Every one there was so kind and patient with us when we decided to put our little guy to rest. They even sent us a little plaque with his paw prints and a card signed by the whole staff. I've been taking my Corgi there for 10.5 years, ever since he was a pup, and they have been outstanding. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and they are all big fans of my dog every time he has an appointment. I used to live 5 minutes away but now live about 30 minutes away and I still continue to take him there instead of switching to the vet that is 1 minute from my house because of how great they are. I went here. They left me in the back room and forgot about me. I went out front cause I was freezing to death and there the doc stood , standing there doing nothing.  They wanted to charge me for a dog that I only talked about that they had never seen yet.  everyone can make up there own minds but im not going back here. I feel really good about taking our dog and cat here.  The staff is great!  Everyone is friendly and they know their stuff.  My cat is not easy to deal with - she really freaks out about both being in the car and going to the vet's office.  Yet they manage to handle her really well.  I just wish their office was closer to where I live! The people in this practice have gone above and beyond so many times I don't know where to start. I initially found them while looking for veterinary practices in Cincinnati that accept rats, and to this day, I always refer other Cincinnati exotic pet owners to them. I'd encourage cat and dog owners to give them a try as well. Just a couple of standout moments: After they did a spay and tumor removal on one of my rats, she had problems compulsively picking at her sutures and staples. I had to watch her all night and brought her in as soon as they opened again in the morning. After seeing that I was clearly exhausted, they offered to watch her all day for free while they came up with a solution, letting me get some sleep. When I came to pick her up, they'd fashioned a little vest for her made of bandages and a child's sock that was open enough for her to move, but not so open that she could bend around and remove it. It worked beautifully, and they automatically applied it to my next rat when she needed surgery. Last fall, I was fostering a tiny orphaned kitten who needed extensive care. He was dropping weight and seemed lethargic on a Saturday, so they worked him in at the end of the day in spite of no appointments being available. He was the last pet that weekend, and everyone may have had to stay late because of it. He got the care he needed, and I was able to turn in a very feisty, healthy kitten a couple of weeks later to find his permanent home. Everyone I've worked with, from the vets to the receptionists, has been incredibly supportive and generous with their time. It's clearly a place for people who love animals, and it shows. The most important thing besides the other half would be our pets.  The cats get really upset leaving the house to go anywhere, especially since they know it usually involves the vet.  They do what they can to minimize the stress on us and the cats.  They let us know what is happening and what they need.  I fully trust them with taking care of my most prized possession. This was our primary care location for our dog. They were always incredibly nice and had our dog's comfort in mind.  The only downside is the location, which is right on Glenway Ave., a very busy traffic area. However that was never much of a problem for us, but may be for those who have animals that like to run.Didn't stop going there due to anything they did.
