I take my dog and cats to MHAC and have been very pleased with the treatment and care they have received. My animals are long lived and healthy. One of our cats has a chronic inflammatory condition and I appreciate the laser treatments he has received. They have helped. My wife and I have used this vet for a few years. When dealing with Dr Mark McBride we have had no problems at all. However, the senior McBride has twice prescribed three shots for my cat Twice I have watched him come into the room, give my cat TWO shots then he palms and puts the third syringe in his pocket. The first time I wasn't looking close so not 100% positive. The second time I watched close and saw the same action. I asked him and he said he gave her all three shots. I KNOW he in fact did not. Dr Mcbride appears to be a fine Vet. McBride Sr appears to be a thief and a liar and is putting animals under his car at risk. Read Less

WAS going to adopt this clinic as our new place to get my exotic taking care of. I didn't even make it there. I had some questions about how they go about beak and nail trimming, we had an appt this coming week. She calls me, Dr. Kim, and said " I was told to call b/c you had a bird question?" Uhm..... Shouldn't it have went a little something like, "Hello My name is Dr. Kim from Monfort Heights Animal clinic, I was told you have a couple questions about your upcoming appt with (insert name)! How can I help you?" NOT EVEN CLOSE! As i tried to talk and she kept cutting me off (At this point I'm crying b/c shes being extremely rude and unprofessional) I had said the following, "I'm sorry that I have interrupted your day or upset you in some way, I am just concerned with how this is going to work I have never taken her to a vet I've only had her for a yr n half ..... "cut off again and told the reason she was virtually yelling at me and being rude was b/c she has had laryngitis for 2 weeks and I'm talking loud enough so you can hear me!?!?." Laryngitis is contagious and IMO she shouldn't be at work. At this point I was no longer comfortable for given her the ability to care for any of my animals. I haven't even met her yet and I already didn't want to go there. This situation was handled VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and this wasn't even an office visit. I was left off the phone crying, I told her thank you for your time I"m sorry I upset you and she said BYE and hung up. Needless to say I called my husband and then got back to looking and although I have to drive 19 miles and it might be a little more $ I explained to this new vet what just happened and getting her in ASAP. I won't recommend this vet to anyone that has strong feeling about how their pets are treated b/c her solution to my exotic was wrapping him in a towel and holding his down. NO TY! my babee would hate me forever letting some stranger hold him down in a towel! Maybe this vet is right for some but not someone as passionate about their babies as I am. Read Less
