We had both of our male cat's fixed there and they both almost died. One ended with a blood infection and the other whom was the most loving cat is now scared of people. I couldn’t be more grateful for the staff and veterinarians at this location. When I brought my beloved, sick cat in I was frantic and beyond scared but I was met immediately with the calming, caring, and quick working individuals at the front desk. They showed me compassion and their kind demeanors put me at ease. They didn’t hesitate to get him back right away, and when he started having trouble breathing they jumped to getting him in the oxygen tank. They gave me a room to sit in for privacy and quickly did all they could. After doing X-rays I learned the hardest truth I’ve ever had to swallow, that the only real way to end my baby’s suffering was euthanasia. (He was severely ill and basically would just have ended up suffering more and passing on his own eventually) The doctor told me this with tears in her eyes and even though I instantly went into hysterics and could barely stand or speak, she was SO kind and patient with me. They didn’t rush anything even though it was almost time for to close and they allowed me to hold my baby in privacy as the process played out. They let me stay with him for as long as I wanted to and assured me that I was no bother to them. It was the worst night of my life but I couldn’t have asked for more patient, kindhearted people to have had to go through it with. I HIGHLY recommend Noah’s Ark animal clinic in Colerain. Read Less

Although the prices are reasonable the communication is less than desirable. My puppy was in there for Parvo, as depressing as that was for myself and fiancé, the "Parvo" area is in the basement. It is a dirty, tiny place that looks like cages were just thrown into. No only did that worry me, but then I was told by 3 people he was leaving after his third day. So when I went to pick him up, I had to wait 20 minutes in line to even say why I was there, then when I asked to pick him up the receptionist looked at me like I had two heads. She went to the back, came back and said the doctor did not clear the dog to go. I was livid, as I had talked to THREE people that day who said he was being released. However I truly believe they had no idea which dog they were talking about the second and third times I called. The receptionist just kept saying "Sorry hun" and didn't offer to bring the vet out to speak to me or anything. Then the nice man working with my puppy took me to him and told me the puppy could come home with me as he was feeling better. I, of course, wanted to do what was best for my dog, but he was insistent that the doctor was okay with him leaving that day or the next. The man then went to "do his paperwork" left me in this basement for another 20 minutes, had me take the puppy to my car, then come back to settle the bill. I came back to settle the bill and of course, I was told "we weren't expecting his discharge so this will take a few minutes", when I said I could not leave the puppy alone in the hot car for too long the SAME receptionist said "Well we weren't expecting this and it takes time. Give me your phone number (it was on file) and we will call you when it is finished." Then 20 minutes go by, no phone call, I went back in, the bill was done. I asked to speak to a vet to clarify for my puppies safety as there really were not take home instructions and mixed messages. I was told I would have to wait another 20 minutes. I was over it. They didn't even bathe my Parvo puppy before letting him return home. I had to get him home, bathe him. I feel like my fiancé and I are having to call our vet to figure out his aftercare instructions, in order to protect the puppy. This was a frustrating and HORRIBLE process. I am very happy this is not my regular vet. I WOULD NOT recommend Noah's Ark on Colerain. I am thankful my puppy survived but the lack of communication, and back and forth did not make me confident in the medical decisions being made. I went to pick him up at 7:30 didn't leave until 9. This place is excellent!! I have a dog that I was gifted with. I came to Ohio to visit my family because my Sister in law was sick. I am from Oregon. In order for me to fly him, there were transportation rules. I brought him here and all their staff were so friendly and so helpful!! My family and I will go no place else. We love the staff and their attitude and with our fur babies. After one vet nearly killed our mastiff, Noahs Ark saved her life. We have brought all dogs here since then and they have yet again saved the life of our fur babies. After our mini pin was attacked by a bull mastiff and dying in my arms they took her immediately back and begun surgery they corrected her jaw and were able to reconstruct her belly and stitch her up so nicely. They also were there to answer any and all questions we had about her at home care. We have had to take our cane corso there multiple times and she typically does not like being around people let alone walk on a leash, but she loves the staff and trusts them like family. She is there right now fighting for her life and they are doing what they do best giving me confidence that in a few days she will be back in our arms at home healthy again. I have been taking my dogs here for almost 20 years. There have been many changes in that time. Some of the complaints that staff are rude and the waits are long, I find accurate on occasion. There are a few rude individuals and the clinic gets crazy busy with emergencies some days. However, overall my dogs get excellent care. All 3 are seniors, 2 with heart failure, 1 in renal failure, (and allergic to everything). They are 11, 13, and 15 years old. They still have a quality life, walking up to 4 miles with me regularly. I credit the medical care they receive. All 3 have had to have surgery in the past 6 months and I was terrified that I would lose them. I was a mess thinking that their last moments would be someplace scary that they didn't want to be. The staff acknowledged my fears and made sure that I felt comfortable through the entire process. They even called me with updates during my last little guys procedure because they knew otherwise I would be an emotional mess. Thank you to Dr. Robinson, Ben, Julie, and everyone on staff for getting us through a terrifying experience. My dogs are all doing well and I expect that we have alot of walks in our near future. My chihuahua was savagely attacked, with a mangled leg and paw I knew I had to immediately get him emergency care. Without an hesitation I immediately took my baby to Noah's Ark of Colerain where i knew they would take good care of him. This happened on a Wednesday when I took him in there was a long line and they rushed to see what was wrong with my baby and took him back I was told that he would need his leg amputated which I kind of figured because the way it looked. Even though we had to pay half of the cost up front it was better then watching my baby suffer. Each step of the way they were reassuring and let me know what was going on. Every morning I called to check on him they were very helpful and compassionate. One of the staff members even brought in her dog Riley who is also a tripod dog just to reassure me that whitey was going to be just fine with three legs. That melted my heart to see that they go beyond their jobs for the pets and their owners. My mom has been taking her animals to Noah's Ark since I can remember and I honestly believe I will be following in her footsteps my dogs will be going nowhere else but Noah's Ark. I have been going to this clinic for years and i believe they are going down hill, i was here last month to get his shots..everything was going fine..didnt have to wait long in the waiting room and they took me back to the examination room where i was there for an hour and the Doctor happened to look in the room if i have been helped, i said no and i have been waiting for an hour, so he said there is NO Chart on the door, so i have to go and find it, so he did, i got my exam which was a rush job then i went out to pay for my visit and mi just standing there for about 5 minutes AND NO  ONE WAS IN LINE and finally and lady said RUDE Ill take your paper! I brought my cat here just yesterday to receive treatment after she started displaying symptoms of illness. Despite it being one of their busier days, the staff was compassionate and caring. The vet tech who showed us to a room did an excellent job relating to us and making us feel welcome, and the veterinarian who took care of my cat made sure to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. Already, my cat is back to her cuddly, perky self! I was there on Friday, May 5, 2017. I learned that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are their busiest days. When I came in every seat was filled in the waiting room. I am not complaining, just letting you know about their busy days. I have never had a problem with this place and the people there have never been rude to me. I read all these stories about how the workers were rude to people. Exactly what happened? If you go to get your drivers license renewed, those are rude people! I have been coming here since the 70's and nothing has happened to me like I have seen in other peoples stories. Maybe I'm lucky? My sister and her husband have been there at least 10 times more than I have ever been through the decades. It works for them so I dont know whats going on. I admit I haven't been there lately due to us moving but unfortunately I experienced that this place has drastically declined when I came in today!! I called to see if I could make an appt because due to our drive I wanted to be seen in a timely manner only to be told no and to just walk in. When we arrived I was notified by the (nasty, curt) receptionist that it was going to be a 2 1/2 hour wait!! I asked if I could be fast tracked since my dog only needed a RX refill and she rudely replied that I needed to be seen by the Dr. Needless to say due to these factors I left and just am very disappointed because I have had my dog seen there for the past 11 years and even though we have moved I wanted my dog to go where she always has. I immediately got in my car and made an APPOINTMENT with a facility in my new area with a nice and helpful receptionist and hope they will treat me better than you have!!! Read Less

I will NEVER take another pet to this vet. They treat your pet like a number. No one in that office gives me the impression they are happy in their field of work. One pet was frost bitten on his ears while boarded at their KY location. The other got some sort of infection in his eye while boarded and it was never addressed . They didn't seem the least bit concerned. They also cropped my dobermans ears and then continue to change the timeline of taping and necessary check ups which concerns me that they do not know how to properly handle ear cropping. They told me only 50% of their ear croppings stand AFTER they cropped them. Then acted surprised that I wanted the ears to stand. Not to mention when you go the wait is always RIDICULOUS. I have been a customer for over 25 years. The service has gone downhill. It worked much better when you had one receptionist for check ins and one for check outs. The wait to check in is so long and then to have to wait in line AGAIN to pay is ridiculous. As I waited, a dog vomited on the waiting room floor, an employee noticed it and asked the owner of the dog about it and the vomit sat there for a good 15 min..at least. No one came out to clean it up for a while. I have brought my dogs in over the past year for various reasons not knowing they were overdue on their yearly shots. If only they would have told me "Hey your dog is due for its vaccinations" I would have gladly taken care of it at the same visit. Have been taking pets to the Colerain office for years. I understand what their business model is, and appreciate the prices for services. If you go, you will wait in a very, very long line. This is no exaggeration. Sick, checkup, bill pay, dying-everyone waits in the line. Then you will sit in an uncomfortable chair for another extended period of time hopefully to not get skipped over. I took my 13 yr old dog to Colerain and the Dr there diagnosed her with Memory gland cancer. After blood test and taking other blood to see if the cancer had went to her lungs and kidneys she is now stopped eating and drinking. I called several times after I went there and ask for thee Dr who seen my dog to please call and he did not return a call. He prescribed a aniti-inflammatory med for her and that was it. Now she is in terrible shape and I am being told to bring her in for a chest x-ray and he can prescribe something to keep her comfortable? I expected from them to run the test and help my dog the first time. After I called again on 1/25/2017 this is what AI was told. She is very ill and I feel that someone did not follow up on her as needed. She will probably pass on but I feel like they could of done more for her at the time. If she had the aggressive cancer then why not give her something then? Why has she suffered? No food for 1 week now as of today will not drink? 1/27/2017. I was told to bring her in ASAP. I will never take another pet there nor recommend to anyone this Vet. To me they did not help my pet at all they just let her suffer. Read Less

Service is great. Very nice vets who really know what they're doing. Only a few complaints. If you call them and they're busy they will put you on hold for usually 15-20 minutes. Also since they are a walk in only clinic things can get a little hectic in the office and lines can be pretty long. Other than that I love their clinic! This is the only place I take my pets! This is the only veteran office I go to and thats because the price is right but some of the staff could smile more and act like they enjoy their job. They could be more consistent with the care you receive. I have yorkie pups that I bring in to have tails docked in 2 occasions but for some reason the last pups had stitches that I have to make a return visit to have removed. I have been using Animal Ark for awhile I am part of the wellness plan also ...and was happy with it , but last October, my dog had a weird cough ,and I kept getting an email that she was due for a focused exam , well I took her for that exam and to see what was with the cough she had for couple of days . first of all nobody knew what was the so called focused exam when I asked , well when they heard the cough I was told it was kennel cough ( my dog had the vaccine good till April 2017 , this was October 2016) they took sample for the test , and told me will let me know the following day , plus gave me some meds to treat it, I was told not to worry vaccine company will pay for the cost of treatment , (but anyway I was charged for some stuff ) well after I went home and started the meds my dog got worst , waited couple of days and no call about results , so I called and they didn't find any results in my file ( yes that was disappointing) ...and I told them will bring her back because she was worst , i was seen by a different Vet ,they put a shot and changed a medication , i paid again but there was some amount extra ...but was told again vaccine company would take care , I talked to someone named Christine , who a that time was very polite and told me not to worry . My third visit was same week and finally I was told the test never was done ( they didn't know for sure if was kennel cough) this was frustrating my dog was worst and taking meds that was making her worst !! Finally the last vet ( yes another different than the other 2) ...took an X-ray and found few things ( definitely no Kennel cough) and refer her to another facility for an study they didn't have the machines there , again the people at the front desk wanted to charge me the balance i was told before not to pay , because vaccine company will take care of it , so again Christine who was there explained them what was going on ,and I just paid for what was done that day $94 something...I made the appointment in the other place ,and finally got answers it cost me over $1,000 but is ok , i know finally what she has and she is doing ok . But now ..1/3 /2017 ,I got a bill from Noah's ark with late fee and all ( I never got any previously) plus that was the charge I was told not to worry vaccine company would take care ... I called and explained all this , but the not so nice Christine now , is changing her story and told me ,my only option is to pay or my dog ever would get treatment there ... I got all the papers and receipts . Was trying to reach corporate office to let them know about this , but no luck seems it doesn't exist . I am very angry and frustrated about this , they made my dog sicker , was there 3 times in a week and all meds they prescribed are sitting in my house because she only took them 2 or 3 times , plus after 3 months they are sending me a bill for a charge I didn't suppose to worry ?! This place hasn't been the same since Mike Lies changed the place years ago. Although they don't use appointments anymore, it's been an unpleasant visit every time we've taken a pet. Several assistants gabbing with each other every time and you have to help them do everything from weighing the pet to waiting forever. They have a sign in the waiting room listing the doctors on duty today, 11/3/16, 2 doctors were listed for the morning. After waiting 2 hours and 32 minutes I asked the assistant how much longer it would be since our dog may have a broken leg and she responded "I have no idea!" The dog had been laying on the floor whining and crying this whole time. After paging through a stack of papers she said he's next for a room but we have 3 or 4 rooms occupied and still waiting to see the doctor. I asked if there was only one doctor and she said yes even though their schedule in the lobby listed 2. I said that's great information to know after waiting over 2 1/2 hours. No sympathy, no sorry for the inconvenience and their web page says how much they care about the animals. It's a cheap clinic like medicaid patients have to go to with doctors nobody else would hire. Let's see where do I start. I arrived to the clinic about 8:10 AM. I got checked in immediately ;however I sat for 30 mins with no one else in the waiting room but me. I finally made it to our room the nurse asked some questions apologized for the lateness then left out, she came back and said the doctor is on the way. Dr. Coleman came in not very pleasant I asked him "you'll are busy today he blew me off. He upset my dog he gave me advice on things I had no clue of what he was speaking about. He proceeded to give my dog a few shots and my dog showed aggressiveness and my dog is not that way at all nor am I.When or if I come back I will not see this inhumane doctor. They only take walk in appointments first mistake by me you live and learn, in all the years I visited here I've never been treated as such. It's now one hour and a half and we're still waiting...Might I add the front desk staff was non pleasant as well. I go here for ear crops for my pups.  I know with that they do a great job.  I can't really speak to any of the other services, but I know my dogs stayed over night, got their ears cropped and were healthy and happy the next morning.  To me that's all I needed.  The price was fair, in fact for the qulity of ear crops I prefer they are perfect.I have seen bad reviews for them, but you have to know what you are going for.  I can't fault Footlocker if they don't have hand crafted Gucci loafers.  I think this clinic is about doing a good job, fast on a high volume of pets.  Go to the University of Michigan animal hospital if you want expert one on one animal care.  These guys are clinicians and do a good job for what they are.That is all.
