Wonderful pet hospital! The first time we took one of our cats there, it was a bit of an emergency. Thankfully the clinic was able to squeeze us in on a Saturday! Wonderful experience here. The vets really take time to get to know you and your pet and they listen to all of your concerns. Pricing isn't too bad 50$ for a basic check up, I can't complain. A few years ago I wanted to switch vets because I just didn't feel the love and they were extremely expensive.  Honestly, I decided to just try out Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital because they're close to home.  Good for me!  The vets & their staff couldn't be kinder.  There have been times when I was freaking out because the dog did something weird & hurt himself, but they always try to fit me in as soon as possible to tend to him.  They're always thoughtful and service is quick.  I've never had a problem scheduling and I appreciate their email reminders for when vaccinations are due.  I try to support women and minority owned businesses- this is one of the best. Have been going here a few years and have always liked the staff but after today these people are wonderful!!! Our dog had what we now think was a seizure and we rushed him in wrapped in a blanket and they immediately got him into an exam room and quickly got a vet in to see us. A scary situation was very calmly taken care of and we can't say thank you enough!! Everything was thoroughly explained. We've met several of the vets and they are all amazing! I took my cat here for urinary issues and surgery. He did great and hasn't had anymore blockages. They did a great job taking care of my cat and making sure his pain was well managed. I've taken my 75-lb lab/boxer mix to PRPH since we rescued him 6 yrs ago. He can be an over-energized handful wanting to say hi to everyone and all the smells make him very excited! He loves all the vets and vet techs. They're always so good to him and are great at holding and comforting him if they need him to sit still for a shot, blood draw, or examination. I've taken my dog to PRPH for the last 6 years and have only had positive experiences. My dog can be a bit of a handful but they always make me feel like they genuinely enjoy caring for him. A few months ago we had to have our beautiful 18 year old cat named Bu euthanized...Dr Chase was so sensitive and kind...and so gentle with Bu and with us. I believe the technician was Sam...and she was also very sweet and gentle with our family and sweet Bu. We were such a wreck and the staff was wonderful to us...I can't begin to say how much their kindness meant to us. Sam made a clay paw print of sweet Bu for us to keep...and a short time later we received a sweet sympathy card from the staff. I just moved to the area and I'm looking for a new vet. My dogs are due for their yearly appt including vaccines. When I called and made the appt, the person I spoke to on the phone was very nice. However, I had to call to reschedule the appt and have decided not to take my pets here. I called 3 times and was still unable to actually cancel or reschedule the appt. The first call I was immediately placed in hold, after waiting 20 minutes I had to hang up. The second call I told the person I needed to reschedule and she said she couldn't find my pets info and again I was put on hold. Again after waiting 20 minutes I had to hang up. The 3rd time I called, I couldn't even get through and had to leave a message. As of right now, I still have not received a call back. If I can't even call and speak to someone, it doesn't give me much faith that they would be able to communicate should there be an issue with my dogs. I have since scheduled an appt with another vet. I don't think I would recommend this vet, just for the simple fact I couldn't even talk to someone.Edit: I finally received a call back stating they were having computer issues, it was ok I wanted to cancel and they would call back when the system was working again. I was given an apology but the whole message was rushed and the woman did not  seem sincere. If they were having computer issues, that is fine but they had 2 opportunities to tell me that previously. I would have been more understanding, but my original review stands. I still don't plan on taking my dogs here, again their communication was terrible. Read Less

I took my 17 year old cat here the other day because he's been throwing up & not acting like himself lately, & the staff was amazing! They were friendly, helpful, gentle, truthful, & very professional! They gave me multiple options & were very devoted to getting Toby back to his usual self. I had a stray cat in Hamilton I was feeding from January to March. She returned one day injured, don't know by whom or how. I reached out to someone to trap her and for medical care. She was brought here, from Scoop trappers that came after evading other trappers, had mouth surgery. Sweetie is recovering with SCOOP and surprised everyone on April 30th with the birth of a single male kitten, who was honored by giving the name of Jaax, who helped Sweetie and her son. Dr. Albrecht was really gentle with my cat, who's prone to anxiety, and was thorough and helpful with me. She gave me several options and helped me choose the best one for us at a reasonable price. What began as a horribly scary and stressful event turned into a great learning experience that has transformed me into a regular customer. So happy to have found this place! Brought my dog Phoebe in because she had what turned out to be an ear infection, called the morning of and they got me right in, when we arrived they took us back instantly and there was no wait for a doctor. We saw Dr Chase and she was very informative and really focused on Phoebe being comfortable at the visit which in turn made me feel more comfortable . We recently had to put our 15 year old cat down due to cancer, and PRPH was incredibly supportive throughout his illness and with the decision to put him down. Best vet around! I found them while desperate for a vet open after work to see my sick doxies last year. Since then I think we've seen all the vets, techs, receptionists, you name it, and they are all fantastic. Super nice bunch of people. They always take the time to explain things and provide options and they are SO REASONABLY PRICED! I think we logged something like 15 visits last year and I haven't found a single thing to complain about. Oh and their hours! Thank goodness for a local vet that is open after 5 and on weekends. After a bad experience at another vet in the area, I tried this place.  I was referred by a different vet and am so happy they told me to try them.  I was able to get in the next day!My cat went for his annual vaccinations and also to check up on some teeth problems he's had in the past.  Dr. Jaxx was so nice and my cat (who is the definition of a scaredy-cat) was calm and comfortable with her.  Dr. Jaxx was great with talking me through his past dental issues, and explained what she was looking for while examining him.  As he had an excellent check up, she laid out a plan for future proactive care that we could talk about at his next check up,  since there was no need for a teeth cleaning at this point.  Other vets may have taken advantage of the fact my cat has had dental issues before and recommended a teeth cleaning when it wasn't medically necessary.. so I appreciate the honestly.Dr. Jaxx and both vet techs that came by were so helpful and didn't mind me asking questions.  They explained everything and offered suggestions when warranted. I also really liked how the vaccines were 3 year opposed to 1 year.  They were the same price as the 1 year vaccines from this other vet so I welcome a way to save money.  I also received a rabies tag, which after telling the vet assistants at PRPH, they were surprised the previous vet never provided one.Only downside is the tricky parking lot.  It's a one-lane entrance to access the lot so upon arrival and leaving, one car had to back up so the other could pass. Yesterdat was the first time that I took my dog, Maggie to this vet. She had been having hives and I wanted to get her looked at ASAP. Sandra F had recommended this place to me and I am glad she did. I was able to get a same day appointment, which was awesome. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. The vet (I can't remember her name) was very nice and was able to get my dog feeling a lot better. The prices are also great, and cheaper then where I was previously taking my dog. I took my 4 year old husky to have her mouth checked as she wasn't eating or using her mouth a lot. She is not fond of vets and they worked with me to let me do as much with her as possible to help her feel comfortable. The staff is excellent and they never stopped being excellent care givers. I thought the price was a bit high but after asking around I was told it was a good value for all that they did for her. I can't believe it's taken us this long to find the perfect veterinary hospital for my French Bulldog, Billy.We swore that our dog will never go back to MedVet after the horrible incident last year with his neck injury.  Our referrals were from my husband's clients.  They had nothing but good things to say about Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital.  Plus we did our research and read client testimonials online.  They even received Super Service Award from Angie's List.  Recently my frenchie's mouth was swollen.  We had to rush him to the hospital. My husband called the and the front desk was very helpful.  They asked us to bring him in right away.  When he got there, they treated him right away.   My dog had an allergic reaction to food or he got bit by a bug.  They injected 50 mg of Diphenhydramine and requested us to stay for a couple of minutes so that they can monitor and make sure he did not get a bad reaction.  Our doctor that assisted us was Jordan Albrecht.  She was helpful, kind, and paid attention to detail.  We were out of the hospital within 30 mintues.  Dr. Albrecht asked us to monitor his mouth and if it gets worse to bring him back.  My frenchie is now fine.  What a stress free visit and we did not felt rushed out.  With the doctor's visit fee and injection only cost us $61.00.  If we would have went somewhere else or MedVet, it would have been more.My husband and I was so impressed and pleased with the service, that we had Billy's (my frenchie) medical records transferred from our old Vet hospital in Loveland.  Don't get me wrong, we have no complaints with the previous vet hospital, however this place is cheaper and customer service is excellent.  Plus it is only 2 miles away from our home.   They offer Wellness plan, online pharmacy, pet health food, and more.I highly recommend Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital.I now feel confident and safe that my dog is in good hands.Here are the services: (From the Web)Medical care:We know that you expect the best possible medical care for your pet. I took my dog Elmer here for the first time this week, and it was the best vet experience I have ever had. There was practically no waiting involved - immediately after we walked in Lauren weighed Elmer and took us into a room, and Dr. Jaax came in less than 10 minutes later. She was very thorough and took her time with the visit to address all of my questions and concerns. Helen was very patient with Elmer while giving him his shots. Patrice was very friendly and helpful when I picked up Elmer's medication the next day. All of the staff were very caring and knowledgeable and were great with Elmer. I absolutely love this hospital. I have a calico kitty and an English Bulldog and they made my experience there wonderful. The doctor examined Bruiser (the bulldog) on the floor since he is afraid of heights and too big for the table. She took very good care care of him and my kitty. Bruiser has bad skin allergies and she was able to control it. The wait was not long at all and the rooms were comforting with comical pictures. Unfortunately, I had to move away and wish I could have found someone half as good as her (the Vet). The staff was, also, magnificent and answered my questions clearly. I'VE BEEN TO MANY VETS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO WELL FROM THE TIME I WALKED IN THE DOOR TO THE TIME WIITH EITHER DR. CHASE OR DR. JAAX. DR. CHASE HAS DONE A WONDERFUL JOB WITH HER STAFF. BOTH DR CHASE AND DR JAAX ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CARING. THEY TAKE THE TIME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR YOUR ANIMAL. THEY TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO YOU AND THE TIME TO REALLY EXAM THE CONDITION OF YOUR ANIMAL.. THEY ARE HONEST AND UP FRONT WITH WHAT THEY THINK IS BEST.
