I just got off the phone after (as always) a delightful phone call with Leigh and realized that I had never publicly reviewed Plum Street. Our dog has had honestly a ridiculous amount of health issues in his life so far, and Dr. Bob and Leigh have been the most amazing support and advisers. They both have an amazing sense of humor and make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I cannot imagine getting through everything without both of them. The prices are incredibly reasonable, they respond quickly, and they have the most genuine care for the animals that go there. They are never trying to nickel and dime you and will give you honest advice about whether or not you really need to bring your pet in to get checked out. Wow, what a difference than I'm use to. Dr bob is a dream, he feels like a old family friend right off the bat. Do you know what 'N/C' stands for? No charge!!!! I had to get my dog vaccinated for canine flu, which seems to be an issue at kennels lately. My pup has to get 2 rounds of the vaccine and the second visit I saw NC on the file and I asked the sweet girl at the front what that stood for and she said ' no charge, we just saw you three weeks ago and the cost is only for the shot, not the office call.' At the time I lived downtown (in Garfield Tower) and all the dog owners recommended me to schedule an appointment here. Well I am glad they did! I love this place and so does my dog (probably because of the free puperoni at the end of each visit; they also have treats for us too haha). Dr. Bob is pleasant, patient and welcomes all questions. He is a good listener and is interested in know what problems you are experiencing and how he can fix them. As a first time dog owner, I initially went through a lot of scares with my goldendoodle in terms of worms, digestive issues (due to ingesting inanimate objects) and allergies. Each visit Dr.Bob took the time to thoroughly respond to my questions (even though at times I was a worrywart dog mom) and provide several care options. He worked with my budget and would modify his recommendations to make them more cost effective. He also provided advice via phone call if he felt it was unnecessary for me to schedule an appointment.I appreciate a veterinarian who is attentive and flexible. Dr. Bob is one of the most compassionate vets we have met! We have two goldendoodles that we take to this clinic, and he treats each of them with love and attention to make sure all is well. Front desk receptionist is always a joy, and they are always so warm. It's a great experience for us, as owners, and for our dogs. I called and they were able to get my dog Bean in the next day for an appointment. For $34 dr Bob was able to diagnose the problem. I went to several different vets in cinci and ky for my cat, paco, and dr bob was my last try at a vet and saved my poor babes life! The reception staff and Dr. Bob are just plain awesome. We took our cat there for an emergency visit and Dr. Bob was able to diagnose her heart condition without the exorbitantly expensive scans most vets would use. Dr. Bob & his assistant, Leigh, are PHENOMENAL!! I used to take my Yorkie to a place in West Chester, but wanted a place that was much closer, since I lived downtown. While searching online for a vet, Plum Street Pet Clinic came up & I took a chance! It is by far the best decision I have made since getting my dog! Dr. Bob & Leigh really care about your pet & will do anything they can to help you out! I have had some issues with my dog leaking & Dr. Bob did whatever he could do to figure out what was going on with my dog - he even told me that he was going to do some research on this issue & check out some studies. Dr. Bob and Leigh Ann are amazing!!! I took my 9.5 year old papillon to get his teeth cleaned and they did an amazing job. I'm always so nervous to put my small dog under anesthesia but Dr. Bob made sure all my worries were put to ease by giving Caesar a full blood work up before he went under anesthesia. I received phone calls to let me know how Caesar was doing after his teeth cleaning. Leigh Ann gave Caesar the royal treatment while he was under (trimmed his feet, brushed his matted fur, expressed his anal glands) and he looked better than when he went in. His teeth are absolutely sparkling and so clean! I cannot believe how amazing they look! I love this clinic--they have very reasonable pricing compared to other vets I have visited. I made it quite clear I had serious concerns about my cat; explained a prior diagnosis; and was prepared to arrive with all her records. Two-and-a-half days later - crickets. It's stressful having a sick fur-baby and stressful having to take them to the vet. But Dr. Bob and the staff are amazing! They make the whole process as stress-free as possible on me and Penelope (my kitty). Dr. Bob has given me a lot of helpful advice as a pet owner, as well as alternatives to medication. Yes, sometimes they need some medicine (which has been given when needed), but sometimes the problem can be fixed by behavior changes. I'd rather fix the underlying cause then a quick medical fix. Dr.Bob is amazing! He takes the time to really try and understand what is going on with your furry family member. I've been to many vets before since I grew up with dogs and cats, but this is probably the best experience I've ever had at a vets office. As soon as you walk in its calm, clean and bright! I made the mistake of going to a corporate owned vet hospital and they only cared about the bottom line. Dr. Bob genuinely cares about your pets and will do anything to get an issue resolved! I've had issues with my previous vet for awhile, not to mention they were a good 20 minutes away. When my dog got sick, I didn't feel like going out there and my friend had said how great this place was, so I decided to check it out. I was very pleasantly surprised. Kind & caring staff, clean & welcoming entrance. VERY reasonable fees *they didn't charge me to keep my dog over night which made my jaw drop*. also, when i picked up my dog the next morning, she was as happy and as excited as when i leave her with friends. i really feel like this is a place where people truly love what they do & i'm very glad i found it :). Seriously, I've live downtown for awhile and always had to drive to Oakley or Hydepark for a Vet, and my experience w/ Banfield clinics just makes me shutter. Then a miracle apearred on Plum St.....an amazing local vet! He's sweet and knowledgable, best part: I get to drop my little Buster off in the morning before work to welcome hands and pick him up later. Shots are done and he gets a treat.
