I arravied 15 min early and still waited 20 min after my appointment time I was told he had skin allergies and needed shots and medicine I told her I was on a fixed income and could only afford what he needed no extra she then had a vet tech come in and was told 366 for one shot, dog collar and pills she also wanted me to buy flea medicine and food I left there paying 168 unless you have a ton of money dont go there and the worst part was when she said this might not work so you might have to come back in 2 weeks !!!! I took my dog at TLC and my appt. Was 10 a.m. they would not let my dog into a room until 10.15 a.m. they wanted to make sure all monies cleared. My husband and I took turns going outside and working with our dog. Within the time they waited for the credit card to clear and my appt. Was overdue my dog died. It was so sad. Money should not be the number one priority in a vet clinic. Then, I had to file a dispute to get my money back. Save your animals and please go elsewhere. No vet clinic should put money ahead of animal. My dog suffered and I had to watch him die. It was a nightmare. Read Less

Had a sick doberman who needed immediate attention. He was retaining fluid in his abdomen back legs and paws. His paws were cracking and bleeding due to the excess fluid. I had the doberman rescue paying for any and all care by credit card. The vet would not accept the payment by phone with a picture I.d and tax ID. From the organization. I had to load this poor guy back in the car and took him to Grady. They drained 11 liters of fluid. Refereed him to a heart dr who then sent him for further testing. Liver kidneys etc. He was drained 2 weeks later, this time 7 liters. also by the loving Grady staff . 3 weeks later drained 3 liters. He is doing much better and gaining weight now that all of his nutrients aren't being built up and drained. The doberman rescue has paid thousands of dollars to make sure he has a good life and great vet care. It's a shame that the hamilton ave animal hospital is no longer my vet after years of being with them all because the owner would not make an exception on how they would get paid. Read Less

This vet really came through for us last weekend. Our dog had not been feeling well for quite a while. He had some very weird stomach issues. Concurrently, he has had a chronic issue that no vet has really been able to diagnose for years. When we took Toby to TLC for stomach issues, not only did they help us through that, but Dr. Wright also gave us some very wise information on his chronic issue as well. All along we thought Toby's chronic issue was also stomach pain related, but Dr. Wright quickly realized that his pain was actually spine driven. Can't recommend this doctor enough. Read Less

Dr Wright was amazing and took care of our dog on a Sunday morning. He was honest and didn't try to charge us for items we didn't truly need. This vet really came through for us last weekend. Our dog had not been feeling well for quite a while. He had some very weird stomach issues. Concurrently, he has had a chronic issue that no vet has really been able to diagnose for years. When we took Toby to TLC for stomach issues, not only did they help us through that, but Dr. Wright also gave us some very wise information on his chronic issue as well. All along we thought Toby's chronic issue was also stomach pain related, but Dr. Wright quickly realized that his pain was actually spine driven. Can't recommend this doctor enough. Read Less
