The staff are efficient and caring, and the veterinarians are kind, knowledgeable, and give great personal attention to the needs of the animals and their people. Dr. Kattelman and his partner veterinarians make themselves available to answer questions and care for needs after hours, and I always feel like I am invited to be a partner in deciding treatment for illnesses and animal problems. When I took my new puppy Sophie for her very first vet visit in December of 2013 we met Dr. Kattelman and staff. They showed so much love for Sophie the whole first year of her life until we moved away. Sophie loved seeing Dr. Kattelman and I hated so much to leave. This wasn't technically a Veterinary visit - one of our shelter cats needed desperately to be shaved and relieved of his substantial crop of mats and tangles. Dropped a miserable Shaggy off first thing this morning and now we have a Handsome (naked, but handsome ;-) ) fellow back at the shelter. We're certain he must feel so much better. I've gone to Village Animal Hospital for over 30 years. Dr. Kattelman and Dr. Moulton are wonderful. They are extremely compassionate and truly care about your beloved animal and its health. And Lisa the Groomer there is wonderful too. Always does a great job! It's so great to be able to get your dog groomed and physically checked out by the vet or given shots all at the same time. Dr. Kattleman works with some private rescue operators, where we found our dog.  Not only did  Dr. Kattelman and his staff save this dog's life (for a heavily discounted fee), but we now bring our dog to him after the adoption.  Everything goes so easily with Village Animal Hospital, and everyone on the staff is truly there for the right reason! Dr. Melvin Kattelman has been taking care of my dogs for the last 13 years.  He's really cares about my dogs and how I feel about what's going on with them.  There are other Veterinarians at Village Animal, but I prefer Dr. Kattelman and try to schedule my appointments with him only.  They are a bit more expensive than most vets, but I think they're worth it and plan to be with them for many more years.My dogs are not afraid to go to the vet like most pets.  I think it's due to the awesome people at Village Animal Hospital. They are all so friendly and get to know your entire family, not just your pets.  It is amazing to think about what an important role a vet's office can play in your life, but the vet you choose is a very big deal.  They are there for routine checkups, boo-boos and the darkest day of your life.  Losing my 15 year old dog was the worst day of my life.  No kidding, I've never felt anything more painful.  Who's next to you on that day matters, it matters a lot.Thank you everyone for being so caring.  See you soon!
