Our pitbull got really sick, literally overnight. He wasn't eating, he was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea, which turned into straight blood. His nose was really dry and warm, and he was extremely lethargic and deprssed.We Brought him to SH Animal Clinic right before they closed on Saturday, in hopes we could help him before it was too late. The caring quick acting assistants could tell he was very sick and started examining him. When the doctor came in,he started doing some tests, but we had a really limited budget to work with. Keeping that in mind, he came up with a plan to start treating him with antibiotics and other meds that we could administer at home. He wasn't sure what was causing our dog to be so sick, but since he was able to pretty much eliminate a couple different illnesses, his theory was that he had hemmorragic gastroenteritis, and gave us everything we needed to treat him at home. It took days of medication and strong antibiotics, but our pups health improved and he's getting back to his normal self. This knowledgeable clinic helped save our baby's life. They're wonderful.

I’m grateful for the care my cat has gotten from Dr. Welsh and his team. Thorough and reasonable testing was needed to diagnose her, and we discussed what was best every step of the way. We recently switched food to try to better manage her condition and so far it’s going well, with food bought here.

Dr. Welsh and his staff were very helpful and reasonable every time we visited with our aging Bassett Hound. When we had to put him down last month, they were so kind. I just received a hand written condolence card which confirmed that this is a practice that cares for animals and their owners.

I miss the former vet. He was great.
Sadly, our dog had a stroke yesterday. We called them up at 4:00 and they told us, that they were closing at 5:00 and were too booked to see him. After 15 years with Shaker Animal Hospital, we thought he deserved better than that. We had to take him to the emergency pet vet and have him put down. Not even, we are so sorry or any follow up phone call. So disappointing.

Absolute compassion and attentiveness to my grand cats. Genuine...Awesome super helpful and patiently eases the anxious pet owners...I really appreciate them. Special surgery was needed for one of the cats. When we called with questions to the office, Dr. W. Actually took the time to come to the phone and explain the procedure step by step..Just incredibly awesome. Office staff Amy and the techs ate just terrific too.

Every aspect of Shaker Animal Clinic's operation is first-class and excellent. I would strongly recommend Shaker Animal Clinic to every pet owner. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, honest, and will act with a swift urgency if pets are in trouble.
They have helped us a ton as we raise our first puppy- and have done so with patience and treated our puppy as if it was their own.
I could not ask for more from a business!!!

We brought our cat to Shaker Animal Clinic for the first time a few weeks ago because she wasn't feeling well. Dr. Prueter gave us practical, sensible advice, and he called us to check on our cat about a week after a procedure he performed. All of the staff are caring and professional; one tech even brought a blanket for our cat to lie on to make her more comfortable. They have been able to fit us into the schedule on short notice, and their prices are fair.

I've been taken my kitten, Shalom here since I adopted him and have been more than happy with my experience. His vet, Dr. James Prueter, Erin and Cora have all given him their undivided attention and love as if he was their kitten! I tell everyone about Shaker Animal Clinic because they serve the best service, experience and love! thank you guys for alwayyyys being there to answer my silly calls at all times of the day too (that's huge). Best animal clinic around! Friendly, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Decent prices. When I adopted my rescue pit who loves humans and cats, but not so much other dogs, I found myself looking for an understanding veterinary office. You would be surprised how many veterinarians are afraid to even touch him! Anyhow, Shaker Animal Clinic welcomed my pup with open arms and takes excellent care of him. Chopper loves going to the doctors now! I wouldn't go anywhere else even if you paid me to!

Our pitbull got really sick, literally overnight. He wasn't eating, he was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea, which turned into straight blood.
