They have been caring for our pets for many many many years. Fabulous staff. The vets are knowledgeable and they truly care about your pet. They never force you into decisions, they arm you with the knowledge to make your own informed decision about your pet. The Doctor and staff are so nice, they make you feel sooo welcome. Their not all about the money like West Park Animal Hospital. Prices are responsible and it's very clean. I take my dog Marley to Kentown and they are so nice and reasonable ! I use to take him to Broadview Animal and Bird and they were so high priced saying Marley would eventually need surgery on a fur pulling issue and it will never grow back , allergic to pollen and so on ...I took him to Dr Clark's office for a 2nd opinion , he was fine ..a few meds and he was fine after that ! No more pulling his fur , no more itching , it was actually a few fleas that Dr Shaw didn't notice , it cleared up in less then a week and his fur grew back ...I will always suggest Kentown /Suburban. I've been taking my dogs and cats to Dr. Clark + Dr. Schroth at Suburban Hospital for over 45 years (since I was 11) and have received nothing but EXCELLENT, compassionate care. The entire staff is fabulous, however, I've known Judy most of my life. She is on top of everything! Our 11 year dog, Lila (shepherd mix) just had surgery to remove a large cancerous growth earlier this year. Everything was handled to perfection...beautiful incision, no problems, all texted book. I swear our dog is acting like a puppy again. They also cared for our cats that lived to 18 + 19 years old. We will go no where else!!! Read Less

I take my doberman here for his thyroid. The other day when i went to go pick up his thyroid meds they tried to sell me expired pills, after i noticed the expiration date on the bottle before i paid for them I told the front desk lady they where expired. She then said she could give me a discount(what good are meds that are expired? and who tries to sell exp meds? and i know they new they where expired!). So i then decided to just go online and buy them since the office only had expired ones. The vet office then calls me saying I have to pay them 10$ for them to fax the prescription... F them I will never go or recommend anyone to this place ! Read Less

Overcharges for maintenance medications, the cost of my dogs Phenobarbital in 6mos went from $12 to $28 to today (8/22/13) $50 for the same 100tabs. Local pharmacies cost $15 for the same dosage & 100tabs. I was always told that there's a 10$ charge to write an outside Rx and the prices are the same everywhere. I can not help but think that they triple charge for visits & labs ect. Will be shopping for different vet. Sorry it took me this long (8+ yrs) to think I needed to check up on them, they broke my trust. I have changed my own doctors because of not feeling comfortable so why can't I treat my pets the same way. They have always been helpful and available but to overcharge so much is obsurd. Terrible phone customer service from an employee named Judy. She kept cutting me off, talking over me, talking down to me and just generally being curt, cold and harsh. She acted as if I annoyed her by calling. I'm not sure what her deal is but this is my first experience with the hospital and you can bet that I won't be going here or recommending it to people.
