We took our cat to this location because it was referred to us by one of my husband's students. My cat has a tendency to get really stressed when we take her to the vet even to just have her nails clipped. I like the fact that they give them a sedative and then clip their nails and was told that there is something they give them to reverse the effects of the sedative and our cat would be back to normal within a few hours. When we went to bed 12 hours later, our cat was still out of it. She could walk but would stumble and her eyes remain dilated until we went to bed, as I said, 12 hours later. I was really nervous that they may have giving her too much and with it being a holiday weekend, I had to let it just run its course. Our cat wouldn't eat or drink and I needed to give her water through a medicine dropper because I was afraid she would dehydrate. By the next morning, she was a little bit more like herself and by the time we came home from church, the effects had worn off. Also, our cat gets carsick and I told the tech this to which she told me she would take care of the mess in the cat's carrier. I didn't realize until I got home that she had taken my two T-shirts and a full-size bath towel out (which I don't believe she had gotten sick on and usually use that to cover her carrier when she) and she replaced it with some random t-shirt. I didn't tell her this to throw out my belongings. I simply wanted a paper towel where I could wipe up the mess and so I could launder when I get home. I like to use my own materials when transporting her because it smells like us and our house and was told that that seems to be more calming for your pets. I don't see returning to this location because I saw no benefit in going there than traveling across town to where I normally take her. As a matter of fact, there are two vets within walking distance that I'm going to try the next time she needs her nails trimmed. Read Less

Excellent doggie dentistry for my aging rescue Beagle ! Little Girl Dog arrived pregnant on my doorstep between Christmas and New Year's 2012, in single-degree weather, when the Meth House she had been living under for 2-3 years, across from a Mickey D's, was leveled by the city. Despite my near-subsistence income, I took her in, and she joined the pack, and had a healthy litter of six pups on Easter Sunday 2013. Because of her fast-food subsistence diet while a street dog, she has always had terrible tooth decay, and breath order. As she approached the approximate age of 16, Suburban Vet Clinic working with Valley Save A Pet, got her through a multi-extraction with flying colors, at minimal cost. She is much healthier, and happier today, even tackling a weekly rawhide, pig's ear slice, or pork chop bone on occasion. Without the altruism of Suburban Vet Clinic, and Valley Save a Pet, this one-eyed dog's life would have ended with chronic pain. Read Less

I've been taking my pets to Suburban for at least 15 years now, and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The staff is great, as are the Vets. When I had to have my cat put down almost three years ago I was a wreck and they were all so kind and caring. I thought it was such a nice touch that they even did pawprints and sympathy cards. I have been with Dr. Ochterski (Dr. Terry) for seven years. I am a doberman owner and Suburban Veterinary Clinic has been outstanding. My babies were diagnosed at the age of 5 with liver disease. Dr. Terry worked tirelessly to help come up with answers and a game plan to give Niko and Ava the best life possible. The staff was patient through my tears, countless phone calls, and visits. Ava's disease was more progressed than her brother's, but through diet and medication we were able to provide her with a longer life than she would have had without Dr. Terry's help. I am happy to say that Niko has responded very well to treatment, and will celebrate his 7th birthday tomorrow. Love kindness & compassion. SVC has been caring for my animals for several years. We have shared much joy & some tears. The staff always go above & beyond! There are so many stories to share but one that stands out is our beloved "GOAT" Boomer a rescue that had many health issues. Doc Terry performed a surgery that saved Boomers life and gave him 5 more years with us. I travel over an hour to the clinic because I know my animals are getting the best care! Cannot say enough good about our experience or how impressed we were with the doctors and staff. It is very evident that they love our pets as much as we do. Very kind and honest and gentle. I love this staff so much!! I have never been to a vets office that has more love for the animals they care for. Crosby is taken care of when she is there. She's hugged and pampered and they do cute things that give their clinic a very cozy/homey vibe. I can't say enough good things about our vet Dr. Scott. I've never liked a vet let alone Dr that much in my life. I am now giving out his name to the clients at the pet store where I work. I'm so grateful we found them. (We drive 25 minutes to see them.) I have foster cats and kittens and I drive 25 minutes to get here even though I have a vet office 2 minutes from my house. This place is fantastic! The office staff is professional and friendly and the techs are competent and kind. The prices here are fair and they don't gouge you. They also accommodate as many appointments as possible. My dog died in their care and i got absolutely no answers nor sympathy from them only horrible service. I found that they are exactly the same price as going to a higher class facility with educated technicians, doctors and functioning medical equipment.  They did not have the machine to perform my dogs blood work there (never told me till i came to pickup my dogs body) and my dog died and I received absolutely no answers. The doctor could not show me the decency to talk to me to my face! I would not recommend this place at all. Stay away! Read Less

I bring my dogs and cats here and they are wonderful! We see Dr. Dan and he and the techs are SO patient and gentle with my animals! One of my dogs is very large and strong and HATES her feet being touched - so much so that her entire life with me and her previous owner she had to be sedated to get her nails trimmed, but here they are so amazing with her that they can do it without that extra cost and time that comes with sedation. That same dog also had a cyst on the inside/corner of her eyelid that they surgically removed, now you can't even tell, no scarring at all! They have never tried to upsell me on procedures and medications that my animals don't really need like many other vets do. Will continue to bring my animals here as long as Dr. Dan is there! Only complaint is that the building is a bit small, including the waiting room, so if it's a particularly busy day it can get a little stressfull with lots of different animals going in and out and making noise.
