General Info
Banfield Pet Hospital (Columbus) is a veterinary practice that strives to deliver quality, comprehensive pet care within the local community. This clinic is situated in Columbus, United States. It provides a reliable and professional approach to the animal health care services. The experienced team provides tailored wellness programs, periodic examinations, and various treatment options to ensure pets remain healthy. Services often include: These therapies are well executed and target attention on both preventive and curative measures. The practice is well-equipped to ensure the utmost comfort of the animals, which has a substantial impact on the accuracy and success of treatment. Clients frequently mention the staff’s caring and communicative nature, which fosters long-term trust and ensures pets receive consistent care. Banfield Pet Hospital continues to thrive as an integral part of the Columbus pet community. The Banfield Pet Hospital’s experts work in unison to support owners of both young and aging pets. Their dedication to animal welfare extends beyond the clinic as they continuously seek to expand their knowledge and skills in order to provide the best possible care. This ensures that every pet gets the best possible care. The practice actively promotes responsible pet ownership and community engagement, making it more than just a clinic but also a resource for the local families. Every visit to Banfield Pet Hospital in Columbus begins with an exchange of untold stories through subtle behavior patterns, glances, and movements that communicate to families throughout Ohio. The examination processes commence with mere observation. Staff also look at micro-behaviors like eye contact patterns and how the animals breathe when they hear a voice, and whether they move toward or away from motion. Care then unfolds in parts. The way a pet’s coat and skin joints are examined depends on the anchoring leaning or stiffening movements. Internal surveys harm teeth stomach heartbeats track when trust signs originate. Pet owners give contextual information regarding any changes in their daily schedules, emergent sounds that pets respond to, shifts in routine walking or feeding patterns. Banfield Pet Hospital offers services from the first life stage analysis and diagnostics to energy balance, dental health, age-related joint disease prevention, and specific disease mapping. Timeframes are behavior dependent. Some appointments move pretty fast because the dog is giving very clear signs of consent. Some transitions go through various levels to enable the animal to grasp each step. Pets in need of “recalibration” have access to designated quiet areas and pause zones. After the medical appointments, healthcare management at home translates into everyday routines. Observe sleeping patterns along the routine reintroduction and detect any silent cues like family withdrawal, appetite loss, and jealousy for space. It is always advisable for owners to be on the lookout for both timing and symptoms. At what time does restlessness emerge? During which segment of the day did hesitation reach its highest level? Banfield Pet Hospital aids families in Columbus and surrounding Ohio areas to understand that behavior is a living language pets use to communicate with every pause, nudge, and shift rather than when they face an emergency.

This is not my regular vet; I took my dog here after he caught what turned out to be canine influenza at the doggie day camp at a different PetSmart, and their in-house Banfield didn't have any availability. Although we had a long wait, due to our walk-in status, the staff did their best to keep us informed throughout. The visit itself was great: Dr. Schoening and his assistant did a fantastic job of interacting with us, listening to concerns, and being thorough. We got not one but two follow-up calls: one the following evening, to check how my dog was responding to his medication, and another days later, once test results confirmed the canine flu diagnosis. According to Banfield my dog should have been dead a long time ago.  At least that's how I'm made to feel every visit. At least five years we've had the wellness plan for our dog. Our monthly fee is $35, for what I'm not sure. Every visit we still end up spending a minimum of $100. Every visit we're pretty much told our dog needs more extensive testing for potential health problems, usually between $100 - $200. Every visit I politely say no thank you and leave feeling somewhat guilty. This has been going on for years, so it's safe to assume my dog is okay. Banfield is great for routine care of your pet. Staff is always caring, knowledgable, and professional but the high pressure sell of unnecessary procedures is very irritating. If you can avoid the costly and unnecessary procedures plus the wellness plan, I'd say this is a decent place to bring your pet. Read Less

After years of struggling with severe allergic reactions from my golden retriever/irish setter mix, I took Hershey to Banfield at the recommendation of a friend. Rather than automatically put Hershey on a series of standard meds for this type of skin outbreak, the vet conducted a thorough examination and asked my permission to run a series of skin tests to determine the appropriate treatment. She explained to me that Hershey would need steroids (which she usually did when her skin flared up this badly)... however, due to Hershey's scratching, we needed to test under her skin for mites before we could administer a steroid... otherwise the steroid could have detrimental effects. I was impressed at Dr. Krendl's thoroughness... and kinda pissed that every other vet I'd been to see had never bothered with this seemingly essential step. After the tests had been run, Dr. Krendl reviewed the treatment plan with me, explaining what was necessary, what was recommended for good measure, and what was not needed but a nice precaution. I explained to her that my husband had been unemployed for 8 months and that I'd like to make the best decision for my pup AND my wallet... and she helped me get to a good solution for Hershey that was within my budget. Not once did I feel that I was being pressured into something I didn't want or couldn't afford. Nor did I have to sacrifice the quality of care for my dog.Two weeks later, Hershey is all cleared up, on a hypoallergenic diet (and loving her new food!) and I didn't have to break the bank. The staff at Banfield are beyond helpful and caring.
