We saw Dr. Theresa Cranny, who is friendly, knowledgeable, and took all the time needed to answer all my questions (and I have a lot!). I met Dr. Beer as I was walking out; he is also very friendly and took a few moments to chat and address a couple other questions I had that came up. The next day, I called with some follow-up questions and Dr. Cranny called back within the hour, inviting me to call back anytime if I had more concerns. Today, THEY called ME to check in on my cat. I went here a few years back with my cat and dog. Dr Beers is a great doctor. The price was cheap and appointments scheduled within a few days. If it weren't for his staff I'd still be going. I had bought flea treatment for my cat and dog and the tech mistakenly switched their names on the medicine so I mistakenly gave my cat the dogs flea treatment. Had I pulled both out the bag I would've noticed the obvious size difference but I didn't. So since it had my cats name on it I gave it to my cat. Once I pulled out the one for my dog I realized the size difference and that it had been a mistake. So when I went to exchange it (i called and a tech said bring it in) a different tech was there and was smart mouthing me and trying to make me feel stupid for THEIR mistake. She argued with me for about ten minutes refusing to exchange it for free because I "should have noticed that obviously the names were switched." And then had a nerve to accuse me of just wanting free flea treatment for another pet that I don't even have btw. As a first time client I was so impressed that I've already referred one of my best friends there. She was looking for a new vet that didn't cost an arm plus a leg; not to mention looking for a pleasant office to deal with after several mishaps with other veterinarians. Came in terrified for my sick cat Tiger! She is a handful at the vet's and the staff was very good with her! I could tell they were used to this type of temperament. My dog is still traumatized when I take him to the vet by whatever happened to him when we dropped him off to be neutered and groomed including an overnight stay. That was a horrible decision on my part because the next morning when I picked him up he was completely petrified!! He was shaking and trembling like I had never seen him do before!. They handed him to me and then informed me that the groomer nicked his eyelid the night before and when I looked there was a chunk of skin missing from his bottom lid!... I was horrified!. They blamed it on him being severely matted which he was matted but not around his eyes!!!!... It clearly had nothing to do with it!!..and why did they not call me and notify me of this when it happened!!?? I would also like to say for the record that outside of his fur being matted he was kept clean and was healthy overall because I know that they will show emphasis on the whole matted thing!!...He just has a lot of hair that is easily prone to matting....When we got him home we noticed he had blood in his urine and it was very foul smelling. Come to find out he had developed a severe UTI from being left alone all night after having surgery and was not taken out to relive himself !!!! I was not aware that would be the case!!!... They should have informed me of this!!!!...Also the bill did not include any deductions for his injury and infection he sustained from lack of care and neglect. I only agreed to leave him overnight because I worked nights at the time. I did file a complaint with the better business bureau and they suggested to take them to small claims court which I did not at the time because of other priorities however we obviously switched vets. It does not matter the time frame at all!!!!!.... You are a liar when you say you paid to fix his eye!!!!! You did nothing of the sort!!!!!! He was not matted down to his skin!!!!!!! Why did he still have fur when I picked him up???!!!!!!! Lies!!!!! I want people to know about you!!!!!! His eye is damaged and he has vision problems now and the scar will forever be !!!!! Horrible experience!. Would not ever recommend them to anybody!!... My dog has a permanent scar from an injury he sustained while under their care and they blamed it on me!!... My dog has a lot of hair and it grows really fast and is prone to matting. He is always clean and obviously I care enough about him to give make sure he is seen by a vet but grooming him is not a talent of mine so o took him there and they nicked his eyelid!.. He also developed a severe UTI after being neutered and left overnight at the facility and not being able to relieve himself! I worked nights at the time which was the only reason I left him there!.. I thought he would be cared for!! No he was left alone and probably in pain from his eye injury and his surgery and the infection that was starting!!! I can't say enough about how it tramatized our dog me and my children! Also we were not compensated for anything!... There is a complaint filed on them at the better business bureau .... A friend recommended this clinic. Even though I live in Grove City and there are plenty of vets in my neighborhood , this is my third year coming here for my dog's annual check up and shots. Care Pet Clinic is clean and the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I appreciate how they recommend certain treatments, for example, my dog has allergies and bad skin problems but they aren't pushy about it. I also appreciate the reminders I get through email and postcards in the mail for my pets annual check up and appointments. Today you've really let me down, Care Pet Clinic. You've been treating my cat Peter Venkman for cystitis since Christmas and he's had another urethral blockage. When I called earlier today, your office said they'd send me a quote "shortly" and that I could come in today to take care of him. I received the faxed quote at 2:01pm. I made sure funds were available and called to make the appointment only to learn that you no longer had any openings for today and to go to a different vet. All other vets charge 3 times your quote! Your staff, knowing the immediacy of my pet's need and the fact that he's being treated there for this condition, should have offered an appointment time or set some expectations. I bring my 2 dogs and cat to Care Pet Clinic for all of their needs. Dr. Beer and Dr. Cranny are both very knowledgable as well as kind and patient in their instructions/explanations to ensure my animal's best care. I used to attend a vet where the office visit was $55 for EACH pet at EACH visit, not only is the office and exam fee a reasonable $27 for 1st pet and $11 for second, but the pricing of their medication and services is very reasonable. I've been on-and-off without work for the 2 years I've been attending this clinic, and they have always worked with me to achieve quality treatment on a budget. The women at the front the desk are so very patient and provide excellent customer service. I have seen them burdened with non-stop phone calls while politely answering each one and balancing patients and clients checking out. Lastly, I've utilized and referred friends to their vaccine clinic hosted once a month. This is such a wonderful community service- helping vaccinate pets at a very affordable rate. Terrible mannerism: always has nasty attitude & never smiles or greet her patients. They do not care about us " dog owners" by they way they treat u by making u wait & changing hours during discount sign ups. I'd rather find a vet who cares about the "owner" too. I've been taking my two dogs to Care Pet Clinic since 2013. The staff is very friendly and excited to see my dogs when we come in. And Dr. Beer is the best and so passionate about animals. Dr. Beer takes his time with each animal/owner and is more than happy to answer any questions. The prices are fair and competitive so I never have to worry about what the financial aspect will be when I'm being a worrisome dog mom. I've never had a problem with my wait time. If I show up early and they're not busy, they will see me as soon as I walk in the door. They always have several recommendations for treatments and I can always get in for an appointment quickly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM.I should have known better than to take my cat here after the fiasco with my dog. They cut a nail down to the paw so badly that the entire paw had to be bandaged to stop the bleeding. However they had a convenient location and I liked Dr. Beer, even if the rest of the staff wasn't great. My cat has been being seen there for severe allergies, which occasionally needs to be managed with steroids. She has had her blood-work, and was seen recently. But they refuse to refill her script without an appointment, despite Dr. Beer telling me I should keep some on hand, and to call back if I need more. I've worked in the pet care industry and I have never heard of a vet requiring an appointment for every refill. Can you say $?This is the last straw after the catastrophe earlier this year. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Beer, and arrived to find out I would be seeing a different vet. We had to start from scratch, and then the vet gave our cat an injection that she's had previous reactions to. Which was noted on her paperwork. I didn't even find out about it until the receptionist listed the charges, yet they never refunded me for the injection! I was cleaning up cat puke for 2 days because of this. Now they're telling me that they can't give me my records so I can take my cat elsewhere. Just like human records, your pet's medical history belongs to YOU. A vet cannot hold records back for ANY reason. This among the questionable business practice of charging a fee for written scripts. Did you know you can get pet meds at most human pharmacies for a fraction of what they charge? They've also tried to sneak flea medication onto my bill before without my consent, and after I explained that I don't give my cat these meds because if her allergies. I can't say enough how much I love this vet!!!! This was my 3rd visit and I've scheduled my dog for surgery in February. My dog candy has some skin problems where she scratches 1 area well the visit for an injection spray and exam $57!!!!!!!! And her upcoming surgery in feb UNDER $200!!!!!! While in Florida the SAME surgery was estimated at $1000.!!!!!!! I told dr.beers this too!!! He truly is a great vet and he doesn't do it just for the money OBVIOUSLY!!! I love the staff, the facility itself, and of course Dr. Beer!  My previous vet's facilities smelled terrible and the vet seemed extremely bored.  Not at Pet Care Clinic!  Clean, bright facilities, and energetic staff/vet.  They all seem to really love what they do.  Going there does not seem to stress my pets out.  Dr. Beer takes his time with each animal/owner and is more than happy to answer your questions.  The prices are fair and while my pets are absolutely worth it and I'd pay more if I had to, I'm grateful for fair and competitive prices at CPC because I'm not made of money. I no longer live in OTE but I can't imagine taking my kitty and pup anywhere else.And re: wait times, I have had one long wait.  (what I consider long)  It was about 20-30 minutes.  Usually it's about 10 minutes.  I've had times where I check in and I'm immediately taken to an exam room, so zero minutes. This is seriously one of the best Vet Clinic's I've ever went to.  Dr. Beer and his staff LOVE animals and do their best to ensure your animal is healthy, happy, cared for, and all done at VERY reasonable prices.  He also offers a Vaccination clinic 3x a month with NO office visit charge.  Who else does that??? He's funny, friendly, and will explain all the steps you need to ensure your pet's best care, AS LONG AS YOU ASK. NO LONGER the best vet in town. I've used them for years. Their staff turnover is absurd. Frankly, if you're not taking a ferret to this vet, you're on the bottom of the list. Our dog had puppies, I called and scheduled a check up and specifically stated that we needed dewormer for all of them. We hauled 9 four week old puppies to their office only to be told, "Dr. Beer will only see two at a visit!" Really?! Why don't you just come out and say that you want 5 office visit charges?! I have been taking my fuzzy critter (adult cat, around 7 years old) here for almost as long as I've had him. They did his neutering, they've done his annual shots, they treated worms he had when I first got him as a stray, and most recently they treated an ear infection.It is a very warm place, and Dr Beer is obviously in love with what he does. It was recommended to me by a friend who lived very close by. I'm not in the immediate area, but it's worth the drive anyway. Although I only used one other vet briefly and so don't have a very broad basis of comparison, Care Pet Clinic is definitely more affordable than that one was.I've never had a complaint about this vet clinic. My little guy is the world to me, and I wouldn't continue taking him someplace I didn't trust completely. Read Less

Dr Beer and the staff at Care Pet Clinic are AWESOME !!!!!!! My 9 yr old beagle collie was extremely sick and needed emergency surgery and he was able to do it for half of what the other vet was quoting....This hospital saved my dog's life....they are the friendliest people and the hospital is extremely clean as are the kennels..I was able to call and check on her and even spent a couple of hours with her in her kennel....I have felt very loved throughout the whole process....I highly recommend this clinic to anyone with an animal.... The prices are great and Dr. Beer himself seems knowledgeable and professional---if you're lucky enough to see HIM. But........... One of my dog's surgeries was botched--it actually looked like a rookie intern did the procedure. Getting staff to just fill out and sign insurance paperwork is nearly impossible. You have to constantly stay on top of them to get anything done. Getting forms faxed to your provider? Forget it. You can also forget calling them to get a refill on meds or any other type of request most vets/clinics would gladly do. It seems most problems are with the admin. staff-poor attitude-poor service. Dr. Beer and his staff were wonderful! My dog is huge, aggressive & fairly unmanageable. I had gotten quotes of $1000 and more to have his surgery. And that wouldn't have taken care of my fear of the dog's acting up and being untreatable. Dr. Beer took time to talk to me, gave me a do-able quote, and was perfectly ok with treating my wildman. Dr. Beer always spends allot of time with us, we take all three animals to him. You have to ask questions, give symptoms and he will go over all of the options for your pet. We have a cat who has had problems with UTI's for years and he helped us solve her problem. Our dog has allergies and he has really helped us with the care of his skin through food and shampoo. Very expensive allergy testing was done but was inconclusive, dog is much better with the food and shampoo. We love him but one of our cats literally hates him, but she hates everybody except us. I've been taking my cats to this vet for two years now, and I've always had good experiences. Maybe it depends on the day or how you yourself act toward them, but I've never felt that the staff didn't care about me or my pets. I get the same nurse (is that the right term?) every time and she always remembers me and the details about my cats even if it's been months since the last visit. Truthfully I've only seen Dr. Beer twice, but both times have been for more serious reasons than a simple immunization visit. The last time I saw him he was very helpful. I can see why some people had an issue with getting advice or follow-up instructions. One of my cats also has/had Giardia and he told me he would prescribe him some medicine. At this point he seemed about to leave the room, but that's when you have to be forward and actually ask him questions. A lot of professionals are so used to what they do it may not occur to them that you need extra information - they are only human, after all. I'll leave Mom2Two06 a comment telling her what he told me to do. The only drawback I find with this vet is the long wait, I've waited up to an hour before getting into one of the rooms.
