When I first moved to Columbus I was in desperate need of a new vet because my cat had fleas and she was missing a couple shots. I tried to make an appt at two other clinics and none were able to see my cat for at least 3-4 weeks; as soon as I called Chittinden, they were able to see her within a few days. Dr. Weisel is so knowledgeable and he doesn't just tell you what's wrong with your pet, he will explain in detail why and how it happened! We love Dr. Weisel and the staff of The Chittenden Veterinary Clinic. The atmosphere is calm - good for our pets, the people are kind (hi Melissa!), and the prices aren't too high. Dr. Weisel has a matter of fact delivery with an even dose of wisdom and kindness. He's a pet owner too and expresses understanding in difficult situations. He gives information so clients can make the decision regarding the care of their pets that fits their lives best. We used to live closer to CVC and when we moved, I thought that it was silly to drive past so many veterinary offices on the way to our vet. So I switched to the vet nearest to me. As a first time cat-mom, I really appreciated that Dr. Weisel took the time to explain and teach me things about my cats health & well-being! The entire staff is friendly and helpful, prices are very reasonable, and daytime, evening, & weekend hours made it very convenient to schedule appointments that didn't conflict with my work schedule. We have taken our cats (9 over the course of 30+ years!) to Dr Weisel at Chittenden Vet Clinic and wouldn't go anywhere else, despite a 25+ mile drive each way now. He has brought more than one of our kitties back from the dead over the years...one who was poisoned and given up for dead by OSU Vet Hospital. Dr Weisel saved her and she lived for 7 more years. The other was our 18 yr old adoptee with a severe abcess on her head, who is now healed and gaining her weight and spunk back. All the staff is caring, competent, and compassionate. Read Less
