I came to Dr. Kooner with a very sick pup. She was sick with kennel cough and he helped me by showing me how to use an IV for fluids since I couldn't afford her to stay at the vet. He help me nurse her back to health and listened to me cry when I thought I may lose her. Being so grateful, I left my normal vet. To come to his practice. This was 5 years ago, some time within the past year or so his practice changed hands. At first it was ok. I still continued to take my 2 dogs there for the normal shots if my normal vet couldn't get me in right away and I also loved the Groomer that was there, very nice young lady. Once she left, I stopped coming but the dog's were due for shots again, had a new addition so she was due for shots as well. This Vet. Treated my older guys well, with ear infections ect. So decided to come there to get them all vaccinated. I asked the young man over the phone if they give a little off for multiple dogs which are getting groomed and vaccinated as well. I miss understood what he said and ask the young lady whom was checking me out for the discount. I have been in customer service for over 25+ years, and I knew a good customer when I seen one so I would treat a person the way I wanted to be treated, like they are the only person on earth at that time in order to make them happy during there patronage. What did I get when I asked for a discount? I got, You better be glad you don't have 5 dogs. I said politely no, I'm serious, do you give a discount she said NO we don't do that. I explained politely once again, you do know that your competitors do give a discount down the street. I didn't care if it was $5, just show that you appreciate your customers and I know the other vet gives discounts since it was my normal vet. Which couldn't get my guys in before I went out of town. But the main reason for posting this review is because this young ladies parting words. I said I don't think I'm going to come back here anymore and she said OH WELL!!. So, I paid my $535.00 bill and left. This happen in Nov. 2017. I'm writing this now since my friend just got a new dog ask my about vets, and I said read the reviews before you pick a place. Customer knows best, should be always right if you can see their past history of being a patron of your businesss and especially when their paying a lot of money. P.s. Maybe I came across as if my review was based on a discount. It had nothing to do with that, I'm a firm believer that everything can be worked out when treated properly, when you speaking to someone decent demeanor, someone that doesn't come off condescending for asking a good question. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to ask this question. The reason I'm upset and felt wronged was do to the young ladies response to my question, how she said it, that's the problem at hand. Again it wasn't about a discount. Trust me, I have heard No a lot in my life so that had absolutely nothing to do with a discount. It's how it she said it once again. I promise you I would have moved on if her delivery was much different only if she would've just simply said "No, we don't offer discounts but we do offer discounts on ECT." I don't need a "Bye Felicia" attitude when spending $500. 00+. I go into every situation with a positive attitude, I don't write negative reviews unless I really felt as if I was treat bad as you can see. So please don't make it seem as if I was writing this just because of a discount. Thank you, for all you have done for my pets, I do appreciate it with all my heart. I'm going to move on from here and hopefully you understand my position as a customer. Thanks again. Read Less

Have been taking my 1 year old boxer and beagle fur babies here since they were puppies. If you want high quality veterinary medicine without unnecessary frills, this is the place for you. Our first visit we realized how much we were overpaying for Petsmart vet services... there is no point. Dr. Rose and staff are friendly and always make time for us without long waiting. They have a pharmacy you can order from online, and medicines usually arrive within 2 days. The groomer is super friendly and patient with my very barky hound dog who doesn't like grooming-- not to mention he is always dirty because he enjoys dirt. The building is older and could probably use a remodel, but honestly I could care less because I'm charged fairly, it's clean, and only the services matter to me. Read Less

Tried to charge me for medication I already paid for than argued with vet about what computer said lastly unless my dog is examined again( she was exam in aug) I had to take her to vaccine clinic. I'm self employed so I get it. I don't mind paying (just paid $150 for other dog x rays I have yet to see) but this will not work for me. I am not the only one. I forgot to mention Mike carry a gun. I could not agree more with the review from Jenn P. we moved into the Franklin Parrk area 3 1/2 years ago from Westerville and needed a vet for our dog and new rescue cat. We found Driving Park Animal Hospital. All of the staff has been wonderful to work with, especially through our difficult time of putting our jack Russell down due to old age and medical problems. You know, when you write a review on Yelp, it tells you to not review a business if you are connected to the owners in any way.   But how can you not have an incredible connection to the professionals who care for your animals?  I originally called Driving Park Animal Hospital because they were close to my house at the time (I lived in Old Town East) and they could easily fit me in that same day.   They were transparent in their prices (in fact, they gave me the cost of everything over the phone so I could know what to expect) and super nice.  I now live in the Short North and would happily follow Dr. Kooner into another area-code if I had to.  I went first because I could get in that day for my pup's shots and it was close.  I have continued to go back because of the exceptional way my animals have been treated, the affordability of the services, and the timeliness with which we can be seen.  Dr. Kooner is incredibly knowledgeable, pleasant, realistic in his practices, and completely transparent when it comes to making good decisions for your pet's care.   I trust him implicitly.  I have sent so many friends there, and they all have awesome things to say.  However, I do warn people: this isn't in the best of neighborhoods and the building (from the outside) looks a little scary.  The windows are covered by bars and the waiting room is sparsely furnished....but in my 4 years of going there, I've never had to wait.  I really can't recommend this practice enough!Recently they purchased the building next door, renovated it, and built a doggie day care as well.  Awesome. Read Less

New Vet is amazing but I'm not sure what mike's role is. He dispensed my dogs nerve pill in broken up pieces bc vet didn't have exact mg. The old doctor who sold the practice never had to do any of these things. The vet is great but I hope she makes some changes so she is not reported to the Ohio Board. So glad to know Dr Kooner is stillIn practice at 161 park rdIn worthington. Read Less

I walked in with my kitten just for some vaccinations, since the breeder told me he needed them. I was a little hesitatnt of the area but i'm glad i walked in. There was no wait time and the staff was great. They took the time to answer all my questions and recommendations they explained thoroughly. They were not pushy on what they wanted to do and gave me many options to work with since I had a strict budget to adhere to. I'll be back in a few weeks for our next set of vaccinations, thank you Dr. Rose and staff :) Read Less

Dr. kooner believed in putting down most animals to start. Now he has sold the business and they now have a completely new requirements for those who visit. I have been taking my dogs in for grooming and the new vet requires a good half dozen shots BEFORE a grooming can be done. Dr, Kooner is straight forward and cost is very reasonable. Yes the neighborhood looks a little sketchy but I have never had a problem. Read Less

Awesome.
