When our late dog fell ill with medical issues the team at GRAH was more than accommodating, they even went as far as making check up phone calls to make sure the medication was working as planned. Had fantastic care at this location for years. Unfortunately, on the day we needed it most, Georgesville Animal Hospital showed a lack of compassion. We made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize our 13 year old dog and the vet never once referred to our dog by name, didn't take the time to review his chart to see what his illness was, which they had seen him for three days prior, and the staff was right outside of the room laughing. These are all very subtle things, but unfortunately I will forever remember that our dog was treated with disrespect in his final moments by a team of people that are supposed to care for and advocate for pets. These guys are awesome! They allowed us to come in for an emergency appt as my cat hadn't been well for a few days and I had only just been informed! Turns out he was in kidney failure and while the vet did give us the heartbreaking news very professionally, it was obvious that it pained her to tell us that he may not make it. We couldn't afford to keep him in a vet hospital so they showed us how to give him subcutaneous fluid boluses, how to feed him with a syringe, and symptoms to look for worsening of his condition, etc.Thankfully he is now well on the road to recovery and I will forever be grateful for the care and empathy shown to my Mr Kitty! I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at this animal clinic. I was having a bit of a stressful day and they took the best care of my girl while she had her puppies. Dr. Troyer and Dr. Rader along with all of the techs and assistants went above and beyond my expectations. To boot, I was a brand new client, and they just welcomed me right in on short notice and got to work. Came here awhile back for the $99 dental special. IT WAS NOT $99. I should have read the 'fine print'. The $99 does not include the anesthetic, which is required for all. Also doesn't include any teeth pulling, or blood work, or antibiotics. My total was a little over $300. That was not a $99 dental special! Other than the false advertising, they did do an excellent job on cleaning my little yorkies teeth. And here still after two years later my vet still thinks they look great! We had a great experience here today with our babies! That's exactly what they are, babies to us; and the staff treated them like it. We were greeted upon arrival, promptly taken back for our appointment, and explained what was going on each step of the way. We had checkups and got current on all vac's for our chihuahua and German/chow mix. They were sweet and loving to both, even though the chihuahua has a bit of a temper :) We asked about heart work medicine to which they provided us price quotes for both the blood test, one month of medicine and 6mo worth. Prices for the blood test are much lower than I've been quoted in the past at other veterinarian clinics. They clipped the nails and cleaned the ears and talked us through each aspect regarding our pups. Most of all I love how they were genuine, kept us informed on any procedure costs without pressuring at any point, and treated us liked we'd been a part of their family for years. They care and it shows. Our big dog was especially fond of His awesome tech John! The little one preferred the female who helped with her blood work and pedi! And the Veterinarian was great with both! We've found our vet for sure! Read Less

Disappointed at the reception our six month old pound puppy got.  Our dog is a beagle and probable pit bull mix. I want education on bully breeds and am aware of the need to stay on top of training but genuinely felt the vet did not care for that breed of dog. The staff is very friendly here especially John I believe was his name and I think he was a Vet assistant.  I liked this place as they doted over Rocky as soon as we arrived and John went out of his way to become best friends with Rocky.  Rocky is a Min. Pin. with a big personality, lol, so he loves attention, but hates the Vets office.  He is all nervous like many other animals do so I loved the attentiveness of John it really helps.  At one point they were going to take Rocky away (this is not ok) and I told him he may not do well with that.  When John tried to take him from my side he tried to run to me the whole way so John didn't push it, he let Rock come back to me and brought a nice young lady in to do all the shots and his nails right there for me.  I will continue to go to this Vet for the duration of my stay in Columbus.  John was funny and easy going and when the Vet came in to check Rocky out he was much younger then I expected, but was very nice and understanding of Rocky's fears : )  They also sell really good smelling candles that I hope to get on sale again.  So why if they are so great do I only give them 4 stars?They don't carry Revolution and so you either have to change to Frontline and Heartgaurd or you have to go online and order the Revolution and have the Vet give them the prescription for it.  My Vet in Lexington, Ohio highly recommended Revolution and I do love it for the fact that it fights against many parasites instead of just fleas, ticks, and heartworm and why buy two medications to do only half of what one medication does.  So if they decide to carry the Revolution then I will up this to 5 stars. Great experience all around.  I went in about 2 weeks before my dog's scheduled teeth cleaning to get her bloodwork taken care of (to see if she was OK to go under) and they combined it with a heartworm test.  The receptionist/Vet called me to confirm the procedure and to follow up re the bloodwork.The day I took her in for the dog teeth cleaning was a breeze.  Dropped off at 8am and picked up at 2pm.  In and out!  Just like I like it!  Now the pup can show off her pearly whites!Prices are fair and they are (right now) running a dental special on their website.  Good stuff, and Pamela rocks :) Read Less

Another family affair is GRAH. My mom worked here as a tech until I was born, and we've never gone to another vet.Dr. Earl Kittle and his staff, simply put, are the most beautiful bunch of people on the face of this earth. Your pets are in fantastic hands, and so are you. All my friends who go to other vets are always stunned when I tell them how gracious everyone is, and how they will do everything they can to ensure a pet has an excellent quality of life. It's a courtesy that's extended to everyone, which you'll find out if you talk to other pet owners. There are people who, like my family, have never gone to another vet since the clinic opened decades ago.I will say this: if you have a cat, request Dr. Earl Kittle, his son Dr. Lee Kittle, or Dr. Rader. They're all phenomenal with cats, especially shy/timid ones. We took my girlfriend's cat to GRAH for the first time last month for his yearly physical and vaccinations. This cat is so painfully shy around strangers - he never acts out, he just cowers and tries to hide - but he actually allowed Dr. Earl to perform the checkup without making any serious attempts to get away. Dr. Lee and Dr. Rader are the same way - they talk quietly and they move with the cats, rather than against them. Everyone on staff is great with dogs, and the assistants and techs know their stuff.Putting a pet down is heartbreaking when you're an owner. If you're a regular and the staff knows your pet(s), it breaks their hearts, too. I had to put my Siamese down in 2007 after Dr. Earl and his staff did everything they could do figure out what was wrong with him (he had an inoperable brain tumor). The staff had gotten to know my cat very well during his 11 years of life, and they were all devastated. They not only told me I could have my kitty cremated, they sent me a lovely card that everyone signed. They not only care about our furry friends, they care about their human caretakers, too. Again, beautiful people.Setting up appointments is the easiest thing in the world, and they can get you in the same day if you need it and there's room on the schedule. We have never had a scheduling issue. They keep fantastic records and with new patients, they will go over your pet's medical history with you and work out treatment options if your pet has a chronic illness. I know I said it already, but they will do everything they can to ensure that your pet is happy and healthy.Vets are expensive, but shopping around does reveal that GRAH is one of the cheapest out there. Great veterinary care for significantly less than what you'd pay pretty much everywhere else.I am really going to miss this place when I move out of state. GRAH is more than "the vet." GRAH is as good as it gets!! My vet, Dr. Beer, referred me to Georgesville Rd. Animal Hospital to get our baby Rocky an ultra sound. Why refer us there, you might be thinking? Well, it is because they offer the least expensive diagnostic ultrasound around. Where MedVet was $500, GRAH was $230. That's not the best part though!I called GRAH and they got us in the same day I called and worked around my schedule. That is almost unheard of in the medical world. Dr. Kittle came in just to take care of my Rockybear. Elizabeth, one of their vet techs was so nice. She was very gentle with Rocky and was really helpful both on the phone and in the office. Actually, everyone at the office was great! The receptionist was friendly and gave me treats to take home for our boys. The rest of the staff played with Rocky like he was their own. Dr. Kittle spent a lot of time with me getting his history and then a lot more time with me explaining the findings of the exam. He was thorough and was ready to work closely with my vet to help our dog. I was really pleased with my experience here, not only were they very affordable, but Rocky and I received awesome care.
