I went here for an emergency since my vet wasn’t able to get me in, a friend recommended me to them. The receptionists were great but when they took my back the vet tech just stared at the vaccine paper i came with and hardly asked any questions about my dog and left abruptly. A few minutes later the vet came in with no help. He needed his eye looked at and the vet was unable to do it on her own since she has no assistance. She scolded me for not being able to control him as she was putting cream in his eye (who wouldn’t move?) very unprofessional and felt awkward the whole time. Hardly explained the condition and what treatment plan was. They then did a physical (that i didn’t ask for) where they listened to his heart, looked and his eyes and felt his body. It was $60!!!!!! Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable. When it comes to my dog I care more about quality of care than how much it cost. You can tell they love what they do and they take good care of my dog, so the prices being reasonable, is just icing on the cake. Also, if I call about my dog "acting depressed" or " he hasn't had a bowel movement in 24 hours" ( yes I am one of those pet parents LOL) they will almost always get me in the same day if I call in the morning! We took our dog here after realizing she needed some dental work done and could not have been more impressed with Dr. Joey and the receptionists. Dr. Joey made our anxious dog feel right at home and walked us through the process smoothly. We had lots of questions and she was patient enough to answer them all pre and post surgery. Unfortunately, I must update this review. Last week, while my dog was in need, I tried to refill his prescription for anxiety. The doctor's receptionist told the pharmacy not to refill his much needed medicine until he and I came in for his annual visit. After being a patient of the hospital for years, I called them and asked them to tell their supervisor I would never come back. While waiting hours for the medication for my dog who was going crazy due to the sudden noise of construction outside house, they wouldn't even give us two pills to calm him. This rating is based only upon my last visit. It was a very emotional visit, so take the rating based upon this fact. I feel the way paperwork is handled if have to euthanize an animal is not performed professionally or with much tact. I honestly am hoping that my situation was an anomaly. Read Less

I have had excellent care with Dr. Knapp. He is the only vet I will allow to exam my pups. The man knows his stuff and is very thorough. He won't charge you what he doesn't feel is necessary. Best vet I have used by far. Read Less

This place is really good they took Care of my cat from the very first year I got him until this week when I had to have Fats put to sleep, the personal is great. I'm handicapped and the they even come outside to the car and get him for his appointment if I didn't have some to take him for me. Even on Tuesday 11/25/16 when I had to have Fats put to sleep I was able be with and even hold him until it was over. Dr Schieffer was great she explained the whole process and Fats passed away very peacefully. I would recommend this place to any one. Read Less

I love this vet. I brought my cat here many years ago when one was very sick and they helped me through the process for which he passed. With the first feline I've had since then, an eight months old kitten with a dire eye infection, my first thought was Knapps and I couldn't have made a better desicion. I've taken my cat and dog to Knapp Veterinary Hospital for 8 years. I have never been disappointed in the care given my critters, nor the professionalism of the support staff. Everyone seems to be in tune with how pet lovers feel at various times. There are treats out for the dogs (it's actually dog food bits, but my dog thought it was special!) There is a television if you can concentrate on it. The hours and days of operation are super. Everything was very clean and smell-free (!). Somehow the wait to see a vet is short, yet the vet talks with you until you understand the issues. The techs are kind.The vet found a mast cell cancerous tumor that I had never felt and I pet my dog a lot. She also found a problem(g) in the pre-surgery blood work. The vet was extremely thorough and told me what I didn't have to be worried about and what was of concern. I like straight talking, done gently.Together we mapped out a plan for doing diagnostics after my dog heals from the surgery. I'm sad and frightened, but I have complete confidence in Knapp Veterinary Hospital. If I had the slightest bad experience I they would be history. Read Less

I have been using Knapp's for years. Their care is excellent. The staff has always been caring and professional. I have exotic pets that can be tricky to treat. So I keep a close eye on what the Vet is saying and doing. His care of my 6 pets has been great. Their prices also beat a lot of other vets. Male receptionist is always sarcastic. I had a scheduled appointment and they didn't put in the computer. The Male receptionist flailed his arms saying you want me to stop all vet and have them take care. I asked if I should go to a different vet. He ignored that question 3 times and I asked again and he snapped you keep asking that. I told he hadn't answered. ""What do you want me to say?""
