The vets themselves are great - but when your dog is sick good luck finding an opening to bring her in until 4 days from now and when you get there it'll be at least 40-45 minutes before you actually see the vet and you stand around at counter what feels like forever before they check you out to go. I took my cat here because she was acting unusual and would cry constantly and urinate and defecate outside of the litter box. On my first visit I waited about 45 minutes for my cat to be seen, while others who arrived after me went right in (yes, I had an appointment). Tapeworms were found and treated on initial visit, and an x- ray was taken to reveal a blockage in the intestines. Stool softeners were given along with something for the pain. The receptionist quoted me lower prices than what I was ultimately charged. Week after week my cat was taken back for more x-rays and pain shots. She never got better, although she did feel better because she was doped up. Then they wanted to do an ultrasound. Why wasn't this suggested months sooner? Why take so many x-rays if a more accurate picture can be obtained with the ultrasound? Even though my cat is relatively young, she has exhibited signs of feline dementia. This was never brought to my attention by the vet, but from long searches online in my spare time. I have literally watched my cat become a skeleton during the months she was taken to Vet Clinic East. I just wish the veterinarian would have just referred me to someone else if she couldn't figure out what was wrong with my cat. Read Less

Our baby Dane, Kelsey had only been with us for 2 days before realizing she was very sick. We picked this clinic since it was closest to our home. I'm so glad we did. They quickly diagnosed her with roundworm and treated her and sent us on our way with meds and instructions for the follow up. We are bringing our baby Bulldog, Panda in today for the same treatment as they play, eat and sleep together. This is our new clinic. Read Less

Love this office! Dr. Sarah Bowers is the best! My 15 year old Golden has few health issues with old age (including liver cancer) and got to point where he couldn't get himself up, his back legs were too weak coupled with an injured back left knee. He had to be carried in & out of house for potty. I mourned over the weekend believing that we were essentially spending the last few days/hours with him until vet opens on Monday. His condition was so severe that I was expecting news that we needed to make that dreaded decision. She strongly recommended a trial run with Rimadyl and Tramadol and within hours we started noticing improvements and within 48 hours he took short walk around the block!! Each day feels like a bonus and when his time eventually comes we will have comfort knowing how blessed we have been for this extra time and we simply cannot thank her enough for her wisdom and expertise -- she is the best!! Anna has been coming here since we got her 5 years ago. They are always so good to us. She now has an abscessed tooth and the other day they told us even though they were busy to "bring her in immediately, we will fit her cute fluffy butt in". How could you NOT call a customer to tell them their pet was ready for pick up? Tell them you'll call before a certain time, then when that person calls to check, the voice-mail says the place is already closed. Imagine having to wait a full weekend to pick up your animal all because of incompetent staff. For all you know, there was no one else there all weekend to care for animals that need to be left overnight for observation. Why wouldn't that be mentioned beforehand? This place can absolutely expect bad reviews until something is done to rectify the situation. Remember, an unsatisfied customer will tell on average 10 people about their experience; those 10 will in turn each tell 10 people and so on and so on. I think you get the picture. Read Less

I LOVE this place! My dogs loved her "the vet"! I would recommend this place to anyone who has an animal they loved and want the best care!!!!!! I read another review about the puppy with parvo. They have to test they cannot just assume and give you medicine for the dog, just like humans! There has to be proof of the illness its the owners fault for not paying for the test. Either you love your dog and are willing to PAY for whats needed or not. If money is an issue or your not willing to pay for diagnostic tests, you shouldn't have a animal that may need medical attention. Its a question of responsibility. Read Less

The Vet Clinic East has Very Compassionate Caring Loving Helpful people Working there. It was time to Put Our Best Friend down as she could no longer walk or eat. They came to my car and when I begged them to Please not Muzzle my Baby they Did Not . They carried her in on a stretcher and took us to a quite room . I asked if we could just do it in the room where she layed waiting for us and they said yes . It was such an emotional time. Of course we left with broken hearts , as is normal. But no one could have treated us any better. Our baby went to sleep painlessly. But she was surrounded by real Angels at the Vet Clinic East before she closed her eyes forever. Then the following week we received a note card from them with our Best girls Paw Print on it . What a thoughtful thing for them to do. It was so Appreciated beyond words !!!
