Recently moved from Cleveland to conneaut and they are the only vet in town so we went there when our dog started having issues. First off it was the most expensive check up I’ve ever seen, 2nd all’s they talked about was money which I thought was weird but I went with it because we are new clients and I’m sure they deal with people not paying so anyway they did a bunch of X-rays and said she will be fine give her the anti biotic blah blah blah. Ok so now 5 days later no change in our pup, she is even worse now, so I called the vet back and the first thing they said was how much money we need to bring with us!! Didn’t ask what was wrong with her or if there was any changes or anything, just straight to my pockets!! It is very obvious they do not care about animals it is just a business to them!! I hung up on the rude worker and we promptly found a new veterinarians office just a little farther from home. Save your time, money and possibly your pets life and do not ever go to conneaut creek vets. Disgusted!!

My wife took our ill dog to this vet because he was vomiting and had diarrhea. We were eventually referred to another location with the "proper equipment", but only after paying $850.00 for literally nothing. This Conneaut Creek veterinarian "doctor" could not tell me what is wrong. So we take the dying member of our family the next greed clinic (as referred) and receive a $3,000.00 bill (as of this writing) to, frankly, not solve anything as well. My dog is dying beside me and our family is torn. Working on beefing up my knowledge of at home iv feeding right now to keep him alive. Taking the time to write this to spread the word that the only thing that seems to matter to these "doctors" of purported "practice" is profit. Don't let their love of money kill your family. It's what's actually happening these days. Health care is apparently the new organized crime. Beware.

Everyone working there is so incredibly nice and helpful. I recently had to put down a beloved cat due to lung cancer and everyone there was amazing and supportive. Truly an amazing place.
I should mention, they will take in pets under emergency circumstances (without an appointment). You can take your pet in and as long as there's nobody in there who had scheduled for that specific time, they'll help you. That's what they did for my girl.
The people there are not "incompetent", and you can trust that the medications they give you are from a trustworthy source instead of the third party garbage you get online. (Honestly, people who say they "killed your animals" were most likely unaware of your pets allergies or your pet was already too far gone).
Their prices are a bit high, but the service makes up for it. Especially when comparing it to places like Edgewood's clinic (after explaining the emergency for half an hour Edgewood set me up with an appointment three days from the day I called, whereas Conneaut had me in the next morning a little bit after they opened).
I'd definitely recommend this place to friends, family, and strangers alike.

To put it bluntly I feel as though they killed my dog. I brought him in because he had been drinking and peeing a lot. This had been going on for almost 2 months and it wasn't going away so I brought him in and he was dead in a week from the treatment they prescribed. We used this veterinarian for our cats. The receptionist, office staff, and the doctor herself are very nice people, very friendly, and seem to genuinely care about the animals. But, we decided to switch vets because the prices are very high, plus they try to sell me extra things that we already take care of ourselves (dewormer, flea treatments, Greenies, etc.) every time we go there. Kind of like going to a car dealership. They've never done wrong by our animals, but I really don't appreciate them trying to hard sell me on stuff that we don't need every time we go there.
That being said, I would recommend them to anyone who asks me if they should take their animals there. They just need to work on their prices and cool it a little on suggestive selling.

Too expensive. All the other vets in the area are much cheaper seem to know more and have more experience. The building is a joke. Old drive-in bank. No place to care for animals over night.

My dog got extremely sick on a Sunday. Not a single place was open for emergencies in this area. I was desperate I tried everything. Dog died before anyone was open Monday morning.
Dr. James Droese is the best veterinarian in the area and his prices are quite reasonable. He is open on a Saturday as well. I thought I'd try this new vet but I found the Conneaut Creek Veterinary extremely expensive and less knowledgeable.

I must remind people, there are many other veterinarian clinics around NE Ohio for secondary opinions and for other methods of care; as well as there are Emergency veterinarian for after hour emergencies. "Animal Emergency Clinic NE Mentor Ohio" and "Northwest PA Pet Emergency Center" are the closest pet emergency rooms.

I have been going to conneaut Creek since February for my Rottweiler/Shar pei mix. She is diabetic. I've realized recently in the last month or so how extremely over priced they are compared to other vets. Also I've had issues with the answering service. Which is meant for emergencies and leaving messages, every time a woman answers she always tells me there is nothing she can do, about anything...which I know is 100% incorrect. The male that answers for the answering service is always extremely helpful but the female is just too lazy to do her job. And that puts my diabetic dogs health at risk. Like I'm experiencing now, because she refused to help me. My dog is my best friend and I will not be relying on them anymore. I am sick over this woman's lack of care for the well being of my dog. I do want to give credit where it's due, Karen and Michael are great, they obviously care

Nice clean office, very friendly staff. The doctor is very gentle and knowledgable and takes the time to get to know your pet. She spent a lot of time with us answering all our questions. I felt we were well cared for.

Recently moved from Cleveland to conneaut and they are the only vet in town so we went there when our dog started having issues. First off it was the most expensive check up I’ve ever seen, 2nd all’s they talked about was money which I thought was weird but I went with it because we are new clients and I’m sure they deal with people not paying so anyway they did a bunch of X-rays and said she will be fine give her the anti biotic blah blah blah. My wife took our ill dog to this vet because he was vomiting and had diarrhea. We were eventually referred to another location with the "proper equipment", but only after paying $850.00 for literally nothing. This Conneaut Creek veterinarian "doctor" could not tell me what is wrong. Everyone working there is so incredibly nice and helpful. I recently had to put down a beloved cat due to lung cancer and everyone there was amazing and supportive. Truly an amazing place.

We used this veterinarian for our cats. The receptionist, office staff, and the doctor herself are very nice people, very friendly, and seem to genuinely care about the animals.
