This place truly CARES about your experience and your pets' well being, and for me, that's all I care about. Yes it's busy. Yes, they're terrible at answering their phones (but they DO return their messages) But the amount of care their staff provides is outstanding. Need to move the numbering system over by the entry door. Didn't know there was a ticket pull until two other people came in after me and pulled numbers. Waited about 30 minutes just to pick up my pet the day after her surgery. Need a faster way to process intake. Read Less

I have been going to pet guards for years, as their vaccines are most affordable. Today I went to have a well check up for my dog. We go into the room, the vet comes in and listens to our dogs heart. She then in a panicked sounding voice says we need to leave right now and go to hospital or our dog is going to die. She told us our dog was in congestive heart failure. Not ever expecting this type of news I allowed my 9yr old dtr in the room, she heard this and naturally broke down into hysterics. We rushed to the Metro Vet Hospital, tell them what we were told by the vet at PetGuards they immediately take our doggie back. After a couple hours doing blood work and x-rays totaling over $400 we were told she is not on heart failure she just needs a little cough medicine. I am so relieved that the Pet Guards vet was wrong but I'm also incredibly cross that they would diagnose something like this without being positive. Incredibly unacceptable. Read Less

I have been going here for three years and have had consistently positive experiences. I am a part-time teacher with no income in the summer so I was worried about costs! However, today I got my dog Rabies, HeartWorm test, and Heat Worm meds for $70 total. Pet Guards understands the struggle of low income people who love their animals and there is no "office visit fee" when you walk in. The clinic doctors are super friendly, caring and kind, and the front staff are so nice and understanding! The young lady at the front window today took time to review the cheapest options for my dog's heart worm medicine and I am so grateful that this place exists! I highly recommend it and my dog would give Pet Guards two paws up and a lick. Thank you! Read Less

I have been taking my dogs here for years. Even before the move to State Rd. They have always been helpful and affordable. Great pricing on flea medicines.///Redacted, the manager Jaime is a real mean lady. Not listening to the customers then giving attitude and refusing to serve long time customers because of HER bad attitude. Avoid this dirty unprofessional place! What kind of place of business tries to call the police on a customer for trying to buy flea meds for their dog? This place... What an unprofessional lady this place has really gone down hill. We brought in a stray cat on 2/17/17. The cat was with us for about 2 weeks. Without a history, we were not sure where to start, but the staff was very nice and helpful. The first check was to see if she was spayed, and to our amazement, this little stray was. Dr. Morse scanned the cat for a chip and that was positive also. Some calls were made and we find out the cat's home was just a short distance from our home. We got the contact info from the Dr. and there was absolutely no charge for any of the services performed. We texted the owner, a got a reply. Animal was missing for four months and they had given up hope. We are returning the cat to the owner today. Thank you Pet Guards staff and Dr. Morse. Read Less

I have been taking my pets to Pet Guards clinic for routine care, surgeries and medical treatment for years. Their prices are reasonable and the doctors and volunteers are all wonderful. I love the new clinic in Green as well, it's closer to my house and much more convenient for me, even though I would still drive all the way up to the falls if I had to. I always recommend Pet Guards to my friends! Read Less

The staff here have a sincere love for animals. They keep animals well. Help animals get well. Very reasonable. I am very grateful to have a clinic in my area like pet guard. I just picked up my puppy KayLana today from getting spayed. They took such great care of her. They were all so nice & helpful. I was pleased when I messaged them on her before I took her in and got a response shortly after. The lady at the front desk was so nice & pleasant. Nice reasonably priced services. Good place to go for vaccines or small issues without breaking the bank. Only problem I've run into is it's very difficult to reach them by phone if you have a problem after a surgery performed there or issues along those lines - not from my personal experience but from hearing this from their clients where I worked (emergency animal clinic). I recently was recommended to pet guard from a couple friends, and this was my first vet experience with my new puppy. They are AMAZING! Very affordable! My first time fee was only 36 for her visit, shots, and deworming! Most places charge that just for the visit alone. All the employees are very nice, and helpful. All my veterinarians are very nice as well. The only downside is because its walk in's you may be waiting awhile! Recommend to anyone! Read Less

The vets are awesome. The receptionist is totally helpful. No appt. needed. Convenient hours. They making pet ownership more affordable. They do heartworm tests for only $20 and they send reminders for vaccines that are quick, easy, and affordable. They have altered all my pets and keep them vaccinated, protected against parasites like fleas and heartworms. They take the worry and a lot of expense away with the services they offer. It's easy to get your pets plugged into care, so you can enjoy your pets more without the worry. Read Less

I Just had my miniature pinscher neutered at the Green location Thursday. I was very nervous having my husband drop him off for me, my little guy is extremely terrified of people he doesn't know. I was relieved when my husband texted me saying the lady was very nice and even though Jimmy was scared don't worry she'd take care of him. When we finally got to go get him I was impressed that she remembered my husband and referred to Jimmy by name. Just an overall great experience. This is a wonderful place to take your pets. The people are so kind for offering their services. I take both my dog and cat and never had a bad experience. Appointments aren't taken for shots, illness, etc. so sometimes you need to wait. But I wouldn't say that's a bad thing because they are caring for other people's pets. Read Less

If I could give this place negative stars I would,  the staff doesn't know how to approach animals safely,  the owner is nasty, fought with me for over an hour because her staff failed to call in a script and proceeded to tell me how much of an inconvenience it was,  I paid to have my dog seen?!?  The owner also proceeded to make up stories and argue with me on Facebook!!!!  Professional?!?  I think not.,  she told me good luck paying more for vaccinations,  I would rather pay more than have my dogs and myself treated this way,  PROCEED WITH CAUTION Read Less

They did a wonderful job neutering my cat. They gave him his shots and a leukemia screen, and everyone I talked to was very nice and helpful. Being a college student, finding low cost neutering is very important. I got him neutered and his shots for only $72 when other places quoted me more than double that for just the neutering. After just dealing with a rude lady on the phone is enough for me to stay away...Long story short, I have two very sweet silky terriers who all of a sudden decided they hated each other. At the time, I lived in a very small apartment and did not have the space to keep them separated and comfortable with plenty of room at the same time. My mom had kept her and watched her until I moved into a bigger place. I asked her if she could make an appointment for my dog to get her vaccines updated or I could come get her and take her to her normal vet. She has other dogs, so she said she would just take her to her own vet that it would be easier.So later down the road after she returns home, I needed a copy of my dogs shot records to take her in for an emergency checkup at her normal vet. First off, good luck trying to get a hold of anyone in that office with any questions. After calling the many numbers they have listed on their website, I get a hold of someone. When I asked what happened to the papers from the initial visit, I gave her the short version that they were lost. She got snotty with me about them being lost. The only way you can get a copy is either drive there to get a copy (which I live in Cleveland) or as she put it, try and leave a message and MAYBE they will get back to you. She reminded me many times that they are low cost animal clinic and do not have fancy gadgets like fax machines and "even worse", no access to email them. So I was pretty much out of luck.After talking to my vet, she said she would try and call to see if she could just get the information over the phone.  I don't know what happened, but she got them via fax.But just from the sounds of it I would never ever take my fur babies there. Yes I pay a little more but the idea of taking my pets to a low cost clinic sounds scary. I would never just pay $85 to have my dog spayed.I don't know what my mother was thinking of when she took my dog there, or any of her dogs. I will have to have a talk with her... Read Less

This is a great place for low cost spay and neuter and vaccines. They don't take apt so if u don't come during the workday you could have a long wait but it's worth the huge savings and the vets are outstanding. Read Less

AWFUL! Well, after waiting forever in line, VERY slow receptionist... I was being told I owed 4 times the amount I was supposed to pay. Later to find out there was another animal on my account that wasn't mine! I could've walked away (easily) with someone else's pet! That made me very uneasy. Meanwhile, at the other desk, I overheard a couple VERY upset about their total. Apparently they were told the wrong price prior to surgery, then had to pay more after surgery. The staff was very unapologetic. THEN, now this really pissed me off, an old sweet man with his German Shepard came in asking for help. He lost his keys somewhere in the clinic and couldn't leave. I kid you not, the two (young) workers didn't even acknowledge him! Nothing. He wasn't offended, just looked around mumbling about where they could be. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. You two should be ashamed. I helped him, as anyone with a heart would. But it took a lot not to scold those two behind the desk.
