I highly recommend this vet. I have been taking my pets there for years. They have never failed to call the next day and check on my pups if they had any kind of procedure or illness. I brought my guinea pig in after she had stopped eating and drinking much for a few days. The doctor we saw spent a total of 5 minutes with us, looked her over but really didn't do much of an examination. He proceeded to tell me that it was a problem with her teeth and that more than likely I would have to force feed her by syringe the rest of her life or have her put down. So, I spent the next few days force feeding her before taking her to another vet for a second opinion. The second vet said her teeth were perfectly fine after actually looking in her mouth (something the first vet didn't even do) and after a very thorough examination and some tests determined that she had a urinary infection and just needed antibiotics. This facility clearly does not cater to Guinea pigs properly, which is fine. But, do not advertise as such, wasting people's time and money. Read Less

I have been bringing my pets here for almost ten years. Everyone and everything was wonderful at the beginning. As the years have gone by costs have gone up (which is understandable due to cost of living going up but some of the costs are just ridiculous) and attitudes are coming out. The last time I brought one of my pets in for a checkup I couldn't believe the things the vet was telling me, trying to push services, and I couldn't believe the snide looks I recieved from the front desk personnel when I had a question about my bill. I took my pet in on a Friday as he wasn’t himself and had been losing weight. I was not greeted by the receptionist....wasn’t really even acknowledged for a minute or so. Blood work didn’t show anything, but he was dehydrated. No suggestions were given concerning his lack of appetite and need of more fluids. Over the weekend, his condition stayed the same. I called the vet and they offered to prescribe antibiotics “it wouldn’t hurt” I was told. By friday he was worse, I asked to have him admitted to the hospital and I was the one to suggest an IV for fluids. Why didn’t the vet suggest fluids and an appetite stimulant a week earlier? Unfortunately, my cat had to be euthanized after several more days. When I returned to pick up his ashes, I was again not greeted by either of the girls at the front desk. I was given the box with his ashes with not even a “I’m sorry for your loss”. I had brought my cat in with a blanket and one of my t-shirts to comfort him, so I asked for them. The girl looked around and brought out the blanket, but said the shirt was nowhere to be found. She said, “it may have been cremated with the cat... sometimes they do that”. I left dumbfounded at the lack of compassion and care that one would expect to find at an animal hospital. I WILL say that while the cat was in the hospital, the assistant and doctor kept me informed of his progress and seemed to be taking good care of him. However, my overall experience and evaluation is that I would not use this facility again. Read Less

This place is just okay.  I don't like that they disappear in the back with my pet.  I am used to being present for all my dogs procedures.  The vet claimed my pet was vaccinated while in the back and it doesn't sit too well with me because I didn't see it.  My pet is healthy and was due for rabies when I first moved to the area and then 5 months later she needed 2 other vaccines and I was charged for a full wellness exam both times.  All the vet did was pet my dog for 5 minutes each visit and claimed she was vaccinated in the back.  I was told my dog recieved a 3 year rabies vaccine but the certificate that printed out and given to me was only good for 2 years.  I will be switching to another vet clinic. If you love your fur babies do not go to this practice.  I had a loved cat pass away suddenly from saddle thrombosis while my sister was working as a vet assistant at BAH about 15 years ago now and this business would not let me bring my cat home with me after he passed away until I paid my balance in full.  It took me a couple of days to borrow money and pay this place. Once they finally gave my cat back to me they gave him to me in a black garbage bag,  stiff and with his canine teeth showing as if he was snarling because he was in pain.  It was awful!  Now, 15 plus years later,  my parents took one of their cats in to be examined for them to know if there was hope he might live or if they should consider relieving Gideon of his pain. My parents explained to Dr. Wolf and staff that they could not afford to do much and to update them as they went through the day on any tests or treatment the vet would like to run or pursue.  Did the staff or Dr. Wolf adhere to this agreement?  Absolutely not. Instead,  when my parents went to relieve Gideon by letting him go to sleep the staff at Beavercreek Animal Hospital would not let my parents do anything further until they paid $700.00 from the day's charges.  Charges accrued without consent.  For any of you kind hearts trying to give the benefit of the doubt that maybe this is a staffing issue I must say I had hoped so the first time this happened to us. However,  clearly it is the standard of care and procedure for this vet practice. The irony is the Beavercreek Animal Hospital website states in the first few sentences that they treat your pet as they would one of their own.  I'm doing my part to warn the community of animal lovers to safeguard yourselves and your beloved furry family members from this practice and their unethical and terrible treatment of pet care givers and the animal themselves.  The animal should not suffer just because unauthorized treatment was given or charged or because a client needs to make payments on their new bill.  Please be careful and go to a different veterinary practice. I have never had a problem with this vet!! I really like the girl vet that works there, but the whole staff is great! I have a 7 month old puppy that gets into trouble all the time and they are really great about answering questions over the phone so I don't have to pay to bring her in. I have a cat as well that hates leaving the house and they again work with me and understand if I can't get in her at the time of my appointment! I would recommend this vet to EVERYONE!! The office is always great at getting me appointments that fit around my work schedule. The doctors are always careful about making my dog feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible, and they move at a rate that works for her. They absolutely do not try to force unnecessary tests and procedures on my dog. In fact, instead of prescribing expensive pills or shots for my dog's allergy problem, the doctor told me which over-the-counter generic medication is the exact same as the prescription and helped me adjust the dosage to best fit my dog. The desk staff is undependable and rude. The only decent vet has left, leaving 2 vets, one of which is the owner. They both use great imagination in finding something wrong with your pet, then play on your love for your pet to milk you dry. I suspected I was being fleeced and took my dog to another vet for a second opinion after Dr Wolf wanted to operate on her. All she had was the equivalent of a pimple that cleared up with a little antibiotic cream. Thank God I got that second opinion instead of putting her through an un-needed surgery. These people are the best rip off artists I have ever seen. They should be in acting! Read Less

We brought a sick puppy into see Dr. Whitty on Friday night, and we were amazed at how she really made us feel like Rudy was her only patient there and that he would receive the best attention possible. We ended up having to keep him there for the weekend for IV fluids and antibiotics, and she called us with round the clock updates and let us come in and see him whenever we wanted. She was very gentle and loving with our puppy, and we would recommend her to any other animal lovers. Read Less
