Fair prices, great staff and doctors, devices to help my big, old dog get up on a table for exam, caring, the only issue I had was the accuracy of my skinny cat’s weight, but the asst. at least explained that weights were taken on different scales. First time going to Huber Heights Animal Hospital we had to take our cat in Jack very sick dr. Bash was wonderful told us everything about him we had to put him to sleep dr. They have treated our dogs since 1986 and we have always been very satisfied with the care and concern the have given. Over those years that has included 3 German Shepherds, one Maltese, and a Boston Terrier. Professional, caring, and insightful without fail. I am new to the area. I called at roughly 5:30pm with some questions to be placed on hold for 5 minutes. I hung up and tried calling back but to get a recording that would not allow you to leave a message.  I think this practice is RUDE and they have already sealed their fate for losing a possible customer who has three dogs that require regular checkups and dental care!  I won't even consider saying the name of this business on casual conversation but to express poor customer service and zero recommendation for consideration. After bad experiences with three other local vet clinics, we took our year-old lab to see Dr. Perkins. Both the doc and the vet tech took time to calm him and get down to his level to talk to him and pet him before any examination. they sold us outdated flea medicine that was dated 3/2015 in Sept. 2016, plus they sold us a collar for our small cat for after surgery that was for a dog, granted they gave us a credit. Dr. Truer took great care of us at the lowest point of a pet owner's life. Her care and compassion in the passing of our Peanut was second to none. She then saw our 2 other pups a week later and was just so complimentary to them and again apologized for our loss. Not only does she know her job but she knows how pet owners feel. I have a 13 week old puppy and just tried to get the 3rd and final shots. They tried to upsell me on heart worm medication and then went on about problems I could have if breeding the dog. I've had the breed for almost 40 years and all they tried to do was paint a gloom and doom scenario about everything. Okay now this is a very healthy 13 week old puppy. In which then they told me the breeder had lied about her age and she wasn't even 12 weeks old yet. So I called the breeder who is a minister in a church and she said the puppy was just shy of 8 weeks when she was sent . Which put her at more like 14 weeks. More or less they were trying to drag out the series of injections to 4 instead of 3 and trying to upsell me on everything. I just walked out. Read Less

I had to take my Dachshund in for a tooth extraction. Poor baby was having a lot of bleeding (he's was 12 at the time) and it was leaking out of his nose. The vet took him back and monitored him for another day, no charges, no hassle, and Peanut was vibrant and playful the very next day! They care about your animals, they aren't just doing their job. I felt like I can really trust her opinion with my beloved cat. Price was amazingly affordable for a checkup exam. They REALLY care about the pets here! I am owned by two adopted rabbits (female chocolate dutch and a mixed American mini-lop.) Most people don't realize that even though rabbits are everywhere around you, they are classified as "exotic pets" and require a doctor with special training. We have always taken our pets to Huber Heights Animal Hospital. Not just because it was conveniently located around the corner from us but because of the caring doctors and staff. Recently we had to put our dog to sleep due to the various medical problems she had. Dr. Hinde and the entire staff were just so compassionate. We could not have accomplished what we did the past 3 years with our dog, Honey had it not been for Dr. Hinde and the staff. They would answer my questions whenever I called, and there were several calls and take her in anytime we needed to have her blood sugar level checked. If someone didn't have an immediate answer, they would check with the doctor and call back shortly thereafter. Thank you all for all that you did and all that you do. Absolutely disgusting I do not recommend this place at all. I was a long term client of there probably for about 3 years. My Dog broke her leg. I bealy made it before the doors. locked. I was informed that even when they still had a vet in the building. Finishing up with another clinet. They refused to treat my dog even thou we were willing to wait. When I first walked into the clinic I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness. But once talking with the girls at the desk they made me feel very comfortable. They are down to earth people. The first vet I saw was Dr Hinde and she was FABULOUS!!!! Took time answering all my questions and seemed to enjoy us. However, my next visit was with Dr Perkins and it was a completely different experience! He was very condescending, not friendly at all and had us waiting over an hour with no apology. So, from now on I only see Dr Hinds. She, the receptionist and the techs are the only reason I am a regular client. Certainly not Dr Perkins!! Read Less

So, Huber Heights Animal Hospital is not the fanciest vet in town But I can assure you it is the best. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pet's. We normally see Dr. Hinde (THE BEST), but over the years, we have seen all of the doctor's at one time or another & they are all fantastic! Kind, thorough, competent & patient with our many questions. The support staff is also wonderful! Very friendly, very compassionate & very good at what they do! I have used Huber Heights Animal Hospital for many years now. My parents and I used them when I was a child growing up. So all in all I have used them on and off since 1984. They are a wonderful group and I will go no where else. I have had to have 2 cats put down in my life and with one I was able to sit with him and say goodbye the other one my dad took on his own cause it was so soon after the first that my mom and I couldn't handle it. We started taking our pets here when we moved out this way in 1997. We have always received the best care possible for our beloved pets. And, when the time has come (as it did for three of our pets in the past) for them to be put to sleep, the staff allowed us to remain in the room, petting our animals and saying goodbye as our little furry kids passed from this world into the next. I saw tears of compassion in the eyes of the doctors and staff as well. Afterwards, they sent us a note of sympathy, signed by everyone. I have never seen a group of Doctors and Staff who were more caring. We took our Maltese in with what we thought was a UTI but it was more than that. The doctor insisted we should do XRays and discovered she had many bladder stones blocking her up which could have killed her. They were booked with surgeries, but they called clients until someone graciously gave up their appt so they could do emergency surgery. Every doctor and staff member was involved with her recovery and did all they could to answer questions and make sure she received proper care.
