I called for an appt for my dog that has had several small seizures. I ask if they would give me the prescription ( if ordered ) for phenobarbital so I could fill it at Walmart since they are soooooo much more reasonable in cost This clinic will not do that.... just a way fir them to take advantage of the customer and OVERCHARGEHighly NOT recommend Too bad Dr Montgomery used to be do wonderful Read Less

My first visit to DVC was after adopting my first dog (an older girl with her share of health and anxiety concerns). I was at the office for over an hour and Dr. Todd was in the room with her for at least half of that time. He was thorough but also prioritized the tests and treatments he thought were necessary and allowed me to decide how much I could afford. Every visit since they have gone above and beyond to address my concerns and have made it clear that they care about my girl as much as I do. We were referred to Dublin Veterinary Clinic through our Yelp friend. Though Dr. Lightell didn't know her, we loved his service with our puppy Bella.Our little Beagle mix, got her first vet visit on my birthday, November 1. Though she didn't care about it, we thought it went very well. Bella cooperated with Dr. Lightell and because she only weighed 2.8 pounds she didn't get her shots then. Dr. Lightell thought she probably had some parasites going on so we got that checked out and of course she had it in her since we got her from a rescue. Dr.Lightell's service was very professional and we got so much good advice as new dog owners. Plus the care and instructions we needed to work with Bella at home. We are so thankful to Dr. Lightell for his time and patience with our puppy. She came home so happy because we had just been at the best vet clinic who really cared about pets.We can really see our puppy happier and brighter as ever since she saw Dr. Lightell. His clinic made a huge difference in her overall health from when we got her till now. Just a little background information on Dublin Veterinary Clinic it's been around for about 50 years but Dr. Lightell and his wife have been there about 15 years I think he said. Both work there as a husband and wife business taking care of all the pets that come in. Both doctors are amazing! You can tell that them and their staff actually care about your furry family. Also, they are reasonably priced. As an example, our one cats threw up blood and a wrapper. They were about to close on a Friday but they took in our cat really quick. Even though they were about to close, they still did what they would have done if they had more time (x-ray, etc). Omg, they got me in within 30 mins. I came home to my poor cats coughing and an unpleasant surprise and the team was just super accommodating. Everything was so well explained to me and my kitties should be feeling much better soon. (Side note though, I could've seriously used assistance trying to administer the pills orally because I am bleeding all over now. It definitely hurt. The struggle was real.) We have been with Dr. Todd Lightell for many years. He was so patient and thoughtful about his approach to treating my elderly dog, Luke's arthritis. He helped Luke live out his final years as comfortably as possible. The thing I really appreciate is that Dr. Liightell is always working with me to manage expenses while also providing great care to our animals. My parents see his wife and adore her. We adopted our cat from Colony Cats and were surprised to see a coupon for a free exam at the Dublin Veterinary Clinic. We scheduled it and, on the day of, could not get our feisty little sass in the carrier. She was vehemently against any sort of confinement, clearly. So, naturally, we were about 15 minutes late (and the cat ended up sitting in my lap; typical). The Clinic didn't seem to mind! They were very understanding.At the exam itself, the nurse and doctor were both very sweet with Tinkerbell and really went above and beyond with us; showing us how to clean her teeth, massage her tear ducts, giving us a sample of treats to help reduce teeth inflammation, etc. Our somewhat shy cat seemed at home with them, and was completely comfortable the whole time.Our appointment went very well, and we left confident that Dublin Veterinary Clinic is where we'll be taking our cat from now on. As an added touch, the doctor called a few days later to check in and welcome us to the clinic again. Overall, a great experience! Read Less

The doctor was nice and it was an OK place to take my pet. But they overcharge you for medication - about 4 times. Make sure to take the prescription for Heartgard or other prescription medication when you leave - else they will make you run around!A very expensive  clinic which always charges you about 400-$500 for the first visit. The doctors here (Drs. Todd and Brigette Lightell and Dr. Carissa Scott) are the best!  They take such loving care of our animals and are experts in their field.  They have been caring for our 3 year old Labrador Retriever since she was a puppy, and we also bring our 2 cats.  The assistants and vet techs are also patient, helpful, and knowledgeable.  They have an in-house lab, which is great -- if you get a test run, you know the results right then and there, no waiting for results from an offsite facility.  They have great hours and are flexible with working patients in as needed.
