They apparently can't manage their appointment calendar properly...also, I learned that "irregardless" is a word. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude. I called today to check on an appointment I had made (at this location...she argued with me that it was probably with another Enon vet). My appointment had been for 11:30 AM on a Wednesday coming up, and I had mistakenly said "noon". My reason for calling was to see if I could get an earlier appointment. I like the ease of making appointments and how quickly you can get in. 2 Of my dogs have had surgeries there. Both times they made sure we were well informed on the surgery, the aftercare needed, and all costs associated with the surgery and aftercare. Their prices are comparable to other vets in the area that we have gone to. I also like the fact that they willingly donate to non-profit animal causes. So word is going around that I "quit" my job at Enon Vet Hospital. Funny!! I was actually out to lunch with my husband and mother-in-law when I received a phone call from Dr. Richard Schumann stating that, "the clinic is in good standings and my services are no longer needed." I was completely confused and terrified that I had just been fired, over the phone mind you. So I excused myself from the lunch date that I had planned and went to address the issue. The entire drive there I ran many different scenarios through my head as to why Dr. Richard Schumann would have fired me. Just the previous day I helped him with his cell phone and created nice flyers for him. Once I finally got to the clinic I had asked the office manager, Robin Wright to go get Dr. Richard Schumann for me. He came up front and told me that things were not working out and that he did not like working with me. When I asked why he told me that he did not like the fact that I was telling clients that they needed to have routine blood work done for their pets to continue having controlled prescriptions. I simply replied that I was doing my job and upholding the laws and regulations as we all should, or he could lose his license and/or practice. His rebuttal was that I did not need to do that for certain clients because they were his friends. Friends or not, that is the law and I was abiding by it and he fired me for it. I have gone to Doc. Schumann since he opened his doors in 1974. He and his wonderful staff truly love animals and care for them as they would their own. They are never too busy to answer a question or spend the time necessary to explain something. I wouldn't dream of taking my companions anywhere else.Read Less

Our cat, Sabrina, who likes to think she is supposed to live both inside and outside of our house had a mishap recently. She got a bit on her hind quarter. The staff and doctor took excellent care of her during her stay with them. She had surgery and came home later the next day. They even called to make sure she was doing well. Our multiple pets have been clients for 11 years. The Doctors, Techs and Office staff have always been polite, helpful, answer our many questions as well as explain in detail all procedures and treatments given to each pet. They have went above and beyond to make our pets healthcare the best, making us comfortable as needed and checking up later with phone calls to ask how a sick one is doing.
