I love Big Walnut Animal Care Center. I've been taking my dogs to them for 16 years and tell anyone who'll listen how wonderful they are. The convenience they offer is incredible: vet services, grooming, do-it-yourself grooming stations, boarding. There's no faxing around records so your dog can get a bath. When I go on vacation, it is such a huge relief to know that if they get sick, they're already at the vet!! My old dog is extremely picky about who he likes and he loves his groomer there. Just went I for our annual check-up appointment for our Bernese Mountain Dog On 1/13/17. Another super visit with our vet, who always seems to be in an upbeat mood, with just the right amount big care band attention for our big boy. This is the worst vet .. Over booked and under staffed at both locations.Terrible service and horrible communication between vets and staff.They go through the motions and take your money and don't pay attention to symptoms which cost us our 11 year old dogs life. Went in for a checkup and 12 days later our dog was gone from bad mistakes made in their part! Read Less

I have an 80lb excitable 2 year old dog so I need to take him somewhere that can handle him. I am very happy with the services at Big Walnut Animal Care Center. The people there really seem to understand and enjoy being with my dog. When I take him there he is happy to go in and when he comes home he is soft and clean (they offer dog - bathing) and so sleepy. My dog was there for 2 weeks and developed a boo-boo on his paw. They actually have veterinarians at the center so my dog was checked out right away and the vet talked to me before we took him home. I will definitely take my dog there again the next time we need boarding. Read Less

Big Walnut & Annehurst are connected in some way. I have been going to BWalnut for 5 yrs. The last two years have been trying. I'll make an appt at Big Walnut and show up but they say the appt is at Annehurst. I don't want to go all the way to Westerville. Tired of the dual personality problems. Read Less

Dr. Hurst cares for my three dogs, who have presented some rather unusual diagnostic challenges. I am extremely picky about vet care, having lived in multiple states and also tried many vets in this area--and Dr. Hurst is my choice. She is wonderful with the dogs, completely on top of all symptoms, tests and diagnostic possibilities, terrific about follow-up, and a great communicator.
