PLEASE LISTEN TO ME! NEVER GO TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!THEY CARE MORE ABOUT YOUR MONEY THAN YOUR PET. READ ON FOR PROOF! My newly adopted dog got off her leash and hit by a car, breaking her pelvis. The vets at this horrible establishment took her in the back, gave her 4 xrays and told us she needed "specialty" surgery and it was gonna cost us thousands. She said if surgery isnt an option, shed have to he put down. They put us on a wellness plan, told us we could get free xrays for a year, free check ups, and we could use it on both our dogs. We found out it only covers 3 xrays, and they did 4 the day we brought our dog in. They told us it doesnt cover check ups either and it's only for ONE dog. THIS IS THE HORRIBLE PART!!!!! They said it was surgery or death, THANK GOD we got other opinions from ACTUAL vets, and they said 6-8 weeks create rest is all she needs, no surgery. It's been 8 weeks and you cant even tell she was hit by a car. No limp, no pain and she's running like she used to!!! If we had listened to Banfield, our dog would be dead, or we'd be in debt thousands. BANFIELD CARES MORE ABOUT MONEY THAN YOUR PET! Please NEVER GO HERR AND HELP ME GET IT SHUT DOWN! Read Less

We called in originally about services for our cats. I was hesitant to even go because of the bad reviews but we're desperate. The girl on the phone reiterated to me about a free check up for all of my animals and that we can be billed and pay later for. We go in and none of this was true. They were trying to get me to pay for my cats free visit doing a bunch of stuff we told them not to do. They refused to even honor what the girl on the phone said. This place is a waste of time and over priced for services you can get elsewhere for cheap. These people lie more then a used car salesman just to get you in the door. Do no waste your time!!! You've read the other reviews and now your reading mine. Do not bother with this place. You've been warned. Read Less

We have been taking our pets to Banfield at Bridgewater for years now. We have found them to be flexible in scheduling and compassionate with our animals.  During a specific time frame with a specific vet we did have some issues.  One of our dogs had a horrible breath problem and we continually asked about it and were told that it came from eating poo in our yard.  That didn't seem right because the other dogs did that too and didn't have the same problem.  Finally, another vet from the same Banfield diagnosed a gum infection and treated it with antibiotics. Her breath has cleared up nicely.  Other than that, all of our experiences have been great!  We like the wellness plans too. Read Less

Brought our cat with a suspected UTI in after I searched "emergency vet" and the website stated they accepted walk ins. They do not accept walk ins. Made arrangements for drop off in the morning. Received a call about an hour later cancelling the morning drop off. I understand the mix-up in policies between branches that caused the cancellation of morning drop off (Bridgewater does appointments colrain does drop offs), but it's a massive inconvenience. Just go to another vet and save the hassle. Read Less

My girlfriend is new to the area and had not selected a vet.  We returned to her home on late a Saturday afternoon to find her cat Sadie, struggling to breathe and cold.  We knew it was not going to be good and did not know which vet we should call and who would still be open.  The first vet we called was closed for the day.  Banfield was our second call and they were still open.  At first we just made an appointment because I did not really tell them how bad Sadie was.  However once they understood the urgency we were told to bring Sadie in ASAP because it was an emergency.  Once at the office, we waited for the person in front of us.  Once the receptionist understood who we were, we were led into a room where he could take our information in private.  They immediately took Sadie into the back where they could give her fluids and oxygen.  The veterinarian was honest in her assessment of the situation but explained what she would do if we approved.  We approved the initial treatment which was administered while we waited.  After about 20 minutes the vet returned and informed us that Sadie did not improve.  She laid out the options and we made the choice to put Sadie down.  The prepared everything and then we were able to say our good byes. :( Although it was closing time, we were never rushed.  All of the staff were compassionate and treated us with respect. I had a similar experience to Katie D's. I took my cat in for a routine check-up/shots, and the vet kept telling me how fat my cat was in a condescending manner rather than a helpful, "Hey - your cat is having some weight issues, and here's how we can help her out" sort of way.  He suggested a special prescription diet food for her, and when I told him she was picky and asked for tips on how to get her to change over from her old food, he told me that cats aren't dumb, and that she wouldn't starve herself. Turns out he was wrong - cats will most definitely stop eating entirely which can lead to kidney failure. Thankfully I got a 2nd opinion from another vet, who then weighed her and told me she was under weight, and that the weight she was at at the time the vet called her fat numerous times was normal for her breed. So after 2 bags of prescription food that my cat won't touch, and didn't need in the first place, and the attitude I received, I'll never go near a Banfield again. Read Less

I do not recommend ANY of the Banfield's. They are concerned more about making money then your pet's health. They are always telling you how much money you are saving! Which is wierd, because they recommend things that good vets say are more harmful then good...like coronavirus! Anything for money! We bought that puppy plan since it included spaying my dog, and on the invoice they wrote that the cost would be 1000.00 if we didn't have the plan...uhhhhh, who pays $1,000 for spaying??? Anyways, they were always trying to ""add on"" things like a ""pain shot"" with their immunizations for an extra $15 and made you feel guilty if you said no. Come on...my own kids don't get a pain shot with their immunizations. The one time I decided to say no, they gave me a terrible look and were like...ok, if you want her to be in pain!! Anyways, she was JUST FINE...and played the entire day after the shots! Needless to say, they are just there for the money and not for the well being of your pet. The plan doesn't save you money...and shots are not as expensive as they tell you when they are ""selling"" you the plan! Please look elsewhere for a reputable vet! We now use Day Heights Veterinarian Clinic and LOVE them! They are honest and actually care about your pets...and do not just see $$$$ when they come in! Read Less
