Dr. Baum is a very caring vet. We have been taking our dogs here for over 20 years. I would not trust anyone else...I do agree with a few other comments that one of his receptionist needs to work on her people skills. But Dr. Baum is worth it. Read Less

EXTREMELY RUDE receptionist. Makes it very hard to schedule appointments and doesn't care about patients' needs. Will not answer questions but replies with rude sarcastic remarks. I would recommend going to other facilities specifically for this reason. There are plenty of other vets close-by with exceptional customer service. The Dr.is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever known,truly there to help the animal. And his care is affordable as well as his meds. Has worked with our family dog that is very sick,getting her worked in his schedule and calling and checking up on her. Trying everything he knows so that we don't have to put her down. I am rating fair because Dr. Baum was good with my pups and my previous dog however, his receptionist would rather lose business than admit she is human and makes mistakes. Unfortunately today I was forced to change vets. I called the office on November 15th and made an appointment for November 24 at 7pm. About 10 minutes later realized I had to work my 2nd job that day and called to reschedule the appt for November 25th at the same time. The office left me a message confirming the appointment the saturday prior to the appointment which I didnt listen to until after they closed. In the message they did confirm the original appt on Monday however I did not realize at the time that they had the wrong appt time. They called me again on Monday and I explained the situation to them. At that time they were fine and rescheduled my appt for about 3 weeks out because they were booked. They called me back today and said they were canceling my appointment for Dec. 11th due to the fact that I had to many no show or same day cancellations. I told the receptionist that I have never done that and would like them to tell me when it had happened. She said that is the reason they had called to confirm the appt was because I had not shown up to appointments in the past. When they pulled my records they only had the one for Nov 24, which was their error. I offered to show them phone records of when I called to reschedule and the receptionist did not care. Even though it was their error they said I would no longer be able to make appointments because I should have contacted them to let them know the appointment was wrong when they left the voice mail, which they left at about 9:30am saturday and they closed at noon and I was at an appointment until 1pm without my phone. I would have to call to see if they had an opening for me to come in the same day. If they didn't have an opening I would have to call every day until they had a same day opening. I explained that I had to make appointments due to my busy schedule and I would have to change vets. She did not care! She simply said she would print their records for me to pick up and she would be there until 12:30. I can only hope Dr. Baum reads this post and knows that regretfully due to an error on the part of the receptionist he lost business of someone that loved him and was very happy with him treating my pets. I will still be willing to show him the phone records to prove I rescheduled the appointment. I just hope that I am as happy with the new vet. I have heard good things about them.Read Less

Heard great things about your clinic..I called yesterday about a 4 week old pup rescued from bad situation. She's a runt and wanted to have her checked out. I never got to express this to the woman that answered the phone...after she heard 4 weeks I got a lecture on how I should not have her. I started to explain...cut off again and told your clinic would not see her until she was 6 weeks old. I thanked her for her time and hung up. We took both of our dogs to Dr. Baum for 8 years. Everyone in the office is extremely caring, knowledgeable, and helpful! An emergency vet had suggested putting my 9 yr old black lab down due to what they described as congestive heart failure. Thank the Lord we decided to see if she made it through the night and took her to see Dr. Baum the next day. With his guidance and a lot of work, she lived another wonderful 2 years!
