We've taken our pup to VCA for many years. They are reasonably priced and I like that they take CareCredit for emergencies. It is a larger veterinary practice and sometimes the waiting area and front desk can be a little crazy with activity. I love this place. I have been to other vets and the experience here was completely different. They are so quick to look at your pet and get them attention. I love this place! I have had terrible experiences with other vets in the area. After adopting a kitten last summer, I was searching for a new vet to take my animals to. I chose this place after hearing good things about the VCA offices. I had a wonderful experience and the staff seemed just as excited about my new cat as I was. I have brought my cat here for all of his visits since then. I have never felt overcharged, bullied, guilted, or pressured to buy anything (which was my previous experience when visiting other vet offices). I also had my cat boarded here while I was on vacation last fall. It was reasonably priced and I knew he was in good hands. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a vet. Read Less

First off, we go most often for grooming. My dog comes home clean, trimmed, and wagging her little trail like crazy. Reasonable pricing and you can drop off in the morning and pick up a sweet smelling pooch on the way home. Awesome. Their boarding is great. We use them when we do take trips, but that has been a while since the dog had been joining us lately. Their staff is the real reason for five stars. Front desk staff that just can't be beat! They know my dog, my son, my wife, oh yeah and me too. They know my dog is high energy but super friendly so they talk to her a lot which keeps her calm. The vets are great as well. They are equally great with the dog as they are handling the pet parents (me). I do ask a lot of questions, but they just roll with it. Recommend them very highly. Read Less

Very uncaring. I live 1,000 miles away and was trying to help my son with his dog financially . They wouldn't even look at her until they had a credit card and I was told they wouldn't charge anything till they spoke with me. Within 1/2 hours $400.00 was taken out of my bank account without consulting me. I asked numerous times to speak to Dr, tech or staff but they were all too busy. I never did hear from them and they had to euthanize Bella from a long duration of a stroke she had. Still haven heard and I had to call this morning to see what they are doing with her. Schoedinger is picking her up for cremation. Probably won't hear from them except for money! They still owe us money from donations that came in from nurses and directors and staff 3 yrs ago for the death or my granddaughter who was 13 mo old. They must allocated that money to someone else or put in their own pockets. I guess it all depends who is on staff at the time you are there.. if they are compassionate and caring or just doing a job and not care or emotions! I would not go there except in a life or death emergency like last night!Read Less

People there were nice enough, which is the only reason to not give them 1 star. Our first visit started with an appointment that was 15-20 minutes behind schedule, which is not the end of the world given it was later in the day, but not a great start. Beyond that, the Vet's response to our seemingly benign stool issue was to offer a very expensive stool exam and suggest a raw diet if it couldn't be figured out. In consulting with two other vets afterwards, the benefit of a raw diet are speculative and there are often a lot more treatment options to try before either the comprehensive stool exam or raw diet. It felt like a money grab. What really irked us though, we asked to have an ear cleaning given our dog's reluctance to let us clean them. For about 5 minutes, the vet techs failed to even muzzle her (we did it) and after trying a few times they gave up and said today wouldn't be a good day for it....don't worry though, they still charged us for the cleaning that wasn't completed. Maybe we had a one-off experience, and I hope that's the case given the high ratings, but we won't be back. Read Less

We have mainly used this office for boarding, but have had the staff take care of vaccines while our dog is there as well. They are so friendly and helpful every time we have to board. The boarding rates are lower than a lot of clinics I've looked at and they give the extra time for walks that a lot of places just don't offer. We live all the way across town, but will always make the drive for a great boarding experience at a good price. They got us out of a pickle the first time we called them on a wim. We were about to have to delay our vacation because our plans for a friend to dogsit fell through as we were heading out of town and no other clinic was open. They stayed open late to take in our dog that evening and were very understanding of our situation. We've gone back ever since. Read Less

I had a wonderful experience here with my dog Champ. All of the staff here is incredibly friendly and professional. I did not get the feeling that they were a bunch of sales people that know about animals, which seems to be rare at most vets. They were understanding of my financial limitations and did not try to guilt me into taking care of champ. In the end Champ (and my cats) ended up getting everything he needed to resolve his flea/rash issue and already seems to be feeling much better just a day later. VCA Mill Run is nothing like I would expect from a Vet in the best ways possible. Read Less

Vet staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices charged are reasonable. When you make an appointment, they almost always get you in at your scheduled time. The pet boarding at this location is pretty good as well. Prices are comparable to other pet boarding places in the area, and they almost always have availability, unless you try to schedule right before a holiday. Read Less
