Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this office. When our dog was seen there in January 2018, we were told that she was up to date with her vaccines until July 2019. Today they are saying that she is not. The vet who works today "doesn't feel comfortable saying that she is up to date" and the vet she saw last time wasn't working today. What?! We had to cancel her grooming and not even an apology from the vet's office stuff for all the disinformation and chaos. Instead they put me in hold and then hang up the phone. In all the years I've had pets, no matter where I lived, this staff tops the charts. Their friendly demeanor has won my dog's heart. She has never been afraid to go to the vet. The waiting area is nice & clean. It doesn't smell of animals when you open the door. The wait time us very minimal. Their are technicians available for consult. The hours are convenient, remaining open until 7 pm M-F and Sat. am. They have walk in daily in the morning and scheduled appointments in the afternoons. Parking is FREE. I did respond to a question that it wasn't. I misread the question and don't know how to edit that. So I am revising my review. After an unfortunate experience with one of the vet techs, I took two months to get over it. I was very upset. I returned to proceed with the surgery for my dog who was in need to a dental cleaning and tooth extraction. I was very pleased with the new vet tech who took care of me. She was kind and understanding when asking me all of those difficult questions regarding my pet being unconscious. She made me feel like she cared about my dog as much as I do. She also kept me up-to-date on his progress and then called the following day to check-up. I am elated with the new gal and hope the previous experience was just an isolated incident. Read Less

We have been extremely happy with the services we have used at Miami Valley Animal Hospital. The entire staff is welcoming, caring, and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean. On several occassions, we have received a phone call from one of the vets calling to explain test results or just following up on how a pet is doing after a visit. One of our dogs required a lengthy surgery. The hospital was just filled with love for our dog that day. We have also used the boarding service and were very comfortable knowing that our dog was in a very loving, safe environment. It felt like leaving her with family. With the exception of a few, the staff isnt very friendly or genuine. I have been in there 4 times in the past 2 weeks and the girl looks at me like shes never seen me. A couple weeks ago called and had awhole convo about my problem and when i got there a half hour laterI had to explain the whole situation over again even after i gave her my name and the chart was already sitting on the counter. We like our experience there. However, I only wish that they wouldn't take my cats into another room, out of sight, when giving them shots. It is an unsettling feeling! A pediatrician doesn't take your human child in another room for shots, why should it be ok for my feline child? Not to mention, how do I actually know they're given all they shots? I'm not, by any means, making accusations but you never know. All in all, the front line staff and Dr. are wonderful! We love that they have walk in hours, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. - Noon. Yesterday morning I walked into the office a nervous wreck, my cat Charlee had been hit by a car. The nurse behind the counter took him directly back to see the doctor. I was a complete mess....they were so friendly and kind to me and to Charlee. I will forever be in their gratitude. We had to lay him to rest and it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. He was my baby and he will be missed dearly. I was able to pick him back up early today, his remains are in a beautiful wooden box with his name on it. The staff at this place are simply amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. They were very rude and showed little sympathy. My friends and family have been there before and were happy, but I had the worst experience ever. The staff showed no concern at all, and once they talked to the vet I was treated with even more disrespect. My dog really needed to see a vet! Read Less

Recently took my cat in for a check up. She wound up needing surgery in her mouth. They wrote me up a quote for the surgery the day of her check up. Went in for surgery the next week and I can already tell that shes feeling better. Everyone I interacted with was very genuine. I feel like i can really trust the folks here unlike my last vet. I'll never go anywhere else. Ill soon be taking my other kitty in for a check up! They also take care credit (a special financing credit card for vet bills/etc). They also have a candle that they light with a picture frame next to it letting people know that someone is saying goodbye to a furry friend when the candle is lit and to please talk quietly, which I think says a lot about the business they run there. thank you guys so much!! I love this place! My dog has been commig here for years and they do a great job. They are fast and want to help any way that they can. I also have them do my dogs hair cut and she does a great job. Brought my 13 weeks old puppy in and had a great experience! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The doctor even let the kids I had with me listen to the puppy's heartbeat and patiently listened to the 4 and 5 year old describe how the puppy poops in the house sometimes. I have been coming to Miami Valley Animal Hospital for years and when I recently got a new puppy, there was no question in my mind where I would take him for care.  The staff, from top to bottom shows a tremendous level of compassion and care be it during a difficult time of having to put down a pet or during a regular office visit.  I have seen every practitioner there and have complete trust in their abilities, judgment and knowledge.  I'd trust my pets with no one else. All of the technicians and administrative staff are extremely kind and courteous.  We had Dr Krellner, and she was so good to us.  She was fair and honest, yet sensitive to our questions and concerns.  She was very good about relating our issues to her own personal experience which made it very easy to receive and act upon her guidance and opinion.As with any veterinarian office, it's hard to walk out with at least 100 dollars less than you went in, but after various visits of differing degrees of need and importance we can say the service was worth it.
