The ABSOLUTE BEST!! I love all the doctors, they REALLY care about your animals, are very fair priced, do not do more than they have to, really listen to you, take their time and answer ALL your questions. You never leave feeling uncertain or that your cat was given the best treatment for him/her. I really thought my cat was going to be put down and 18 mths later he is still here and doing well. Just the right treatment he needed so he feels good every day. We've been going to the Lakewood Animal Hospital for more than a decade. They've taken care of two of our German shepherds and one of our tabby cats like they were their own. When we had to put down our dog they were most professional and comforting in that time. They also sent us an incredible gift with his paw print and poem after his death. I love coming here. I've had good experiences with all of the staff from two visits for a sick cat. (She had a sinus infection last year and got it again this year). Tech and the vet were both able to handle the crabby kitty with ease. Asked the vet a few questions about my dog and she gave me good feedback. Patient & listened. Kind to my pet. Performed exactly what they stated they would & charges were reasonable. Most rates are about the same as other vets. This is one of only vets I know of that are open late & always answer the phone to help with questions- whether it be random & minor or to help to determine if you have an urgent need. Several friends and I swear by Lakewood Animal Hospital. Every vet and the other staff there are committed to doing the very best for their patients. They are punctual, organized, very good at explaining treatment options clearly, and go they extra mile to care for pets and their owners. The vets are knowledgeable, experienced, and know how to listen - they will not give you the bum's rush, even on a busy day. Dr. Connie is the best!!! She's cared for my Dogs for over 15 years. I followed her to Lakewood Animal Hospital and I'd follow her anywhere! She has literally saved the lives of our dogs when we thought it was the end. She was able to give us several more years with them & when the inevitable came, she was there with us crying. She has a Heart of Gold & a wicked sense of humor. I'm honored she's not just my dogs vet but after all these years, she's also a true friend. I've been taking my four legged child to Lakewood Animal Hospital since he was a puppy. My amazing Vet treats him like her own. My pup has had skin issues since he was a puppy, she took the time to discover ways I can treat my dog while being very mindful of the cost. Lakewood Animal Hospital was amazing with my dog this past week. He ate 5 corn cobs out of the trash and was quite ill. I took him there and Dr. Konecny was extremely kind, patient and understanding. He ended up having to get an exam and X-ray (he was very difficult during the X-ray) and not only did she walk me through the entire process but also took the time to talk about options and pricing. Everyone was really nice and comforting. The pricing and service was outstanding and Guinness will definitely be coming back for regular exams. I am very lucky to have found, through a friend, Lakewood Animal Hospital. My dog has Addison’s disease and you have to be very diligent with his health and with his health care. The hospital staff is always so very friendly, informative and helpful. My guy can have an attitude at times and tries to intimidate the vets. However, with everyone here they only give him the most loving treatment possible; yes in fact I believe he is really starting to show his good side. I trust the doctors with him completely and that is saying a lot because even with the smallest of things he could go into an Addison crisis and we could loose him, but I believe in the clinic and I know they would be able to do what is required to bring him home safe to us. He has his main vet, who I might add saved him for us by determining he had Addison’s, but he has been a frequent visitor in the last few months with small things and we got to work with most of the vets in the hospital. Each doctor and staff person has been wonderful with him. He is finally getting his socialization done at the age of nine and everyone is an excellent role model for him, yes he is becoming a friendly loveable dog just like we knew he was deep down. Who knows he might even be learning to be a vet and he can take care of us in our older years. :) Read Less
