She loves on my dog like her own and my dog looks forward to going there. When our dog trucker got real sick from cancer the staff here was awesome We’d just moved to Lancaster so hadn’t yet established a veterinarian. we I spent hours calling around for an affordable vet knew when we were making the appointment that Trucker was suffering and was gonna have to be put to sleep. I think this place is awesome. The staff is great. It's always clean ,if an animal has an accident they are quick to clean up and act as if it's no problem at all. As far as the doctors go I would only suggest Dr Dunn. He went over and above to figure out what was wrong with my dog. After seeing another doctor there several times we saw Dr Dunn. Unfortunately it was to late for my dog as he was diagnosed with MRSA to late. Now I won't see see any one but Dr Dunn. Read Less

Our dog had complications a few days after routine elective surgery. She needed emergency repair surgery and inpatient care. There were many moments when we didn't think she would pull through. Dr. Vaughan never stopped fighting for our dog. She worked very closely with us throughout the emotional times, and her expertise is unmatched. Our puppy Max was admitted for Parvo. He is only 7-8 weeks old. When I dropped him off I thought I was telling him goodbye!! The day after we had dropped him off they called with an update and said that he was peeking up! He was barking and whining which he was not doing when I dropped him off. He was very limp, and very sick! On day 2 they called to report that he has been eating and drinking and keeping it in! He gets to come home today! Real good vet I just had to watch aunt cry her self to sleep because we just got back from the 24 hour vet dilly hill animal emergency center in canal Winchester because your vet Fairfield pet hospital in Lancaster had a deal get your cat fixed for 50 bucks only on such and such day and she thought it would be a good idea well u guys should just say we will euthanize your cat for 50 bucks you guys killed her cat he died of internal bleeding his stomach swelled up and turned purple and we didn't have enough time to make it to a 24 hour vet before we lost him I think we should file a law suit against you it won't bring our Stewart back but maybe it will keep this from happening to another pet you should be ashamed of yourselves for putting animals through this and ill be sure to do anything in my power to make sure u lose as many customers from this as possible im notifying anyone and everyone I can think of about this so they don't make the same mistake as my aunt didRead Less

We take our cats to a vet in Groveport because a long time family friend works there. We knew the time had come to put our sweet 16 year old Reese to sleep and we didn't want to make her ride in the car for the drive to Groveport. My mother in law suggested Fairfield Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in the door they were caring. I was already crying when we had walked into the waiting room so they made sure that we had a room as soon as possible to spend time with our precious girl. On Sept 12,2016 I took my little 13 week Blue Heeler in and saw Dr Dunn. As I suspected she was diagnosed w parvo. I was absolutely devastated. Dr Dunn and vet tech Chris were amazing. They were kind to me and my pup. I was sent home w subQ fluids, antibiotics and antiemetics. They were also concerned w my other dogs at home. I brought my other two dogs in the next day for a check up and parvo shot. I have always had great customer service here and I will continue to go back. On Friday evening, we did not see our 21-year old cat, Zack, laying on the driveway. Unfortunately, we backed over him. He was in really bad shape, and we knew he could not be saved, but we did not want him to suffer. Although the Fairfield Pet Hospital was closed, we put a call into the doctor on call. Not only did Dr. Smalley call us back within 2-3 minutes, but she was still at the clinic and told us to bring Zack right in. Both Chris and Dr. Smalley were waiting on us, confirmed Zack's condition, and put him to rest. They were extremely compassionate and caring, despite the late hour. We always receive tremendous service at Fairfield Pet Hospital, but we are extremely appreciative of responsive and caring treatment we received the other evening. Thank you Dr. Smalley and Chris! My husband and I have been boarding at Fairfield for a year. His family is from Lancaster and we live in Pittsburgh, PA. We are more than happy to make the drive out to Lancaster any time we leave town or visit my in laws so that we can board our dog, Cooper, here, even when if it means flying out of Columbus instead of Pittsburgh. Cooper is an extremely high energy boxer/pit mix that we rescued three years ago. In his previous life, he was very abused and has some issues because of it -- namely, he is fairly high anxiety and barks at everything. We have boarded him at other kennels in the past and I hated doing it. He always seemed so unhappy and stressed when we picked him up, and he always smelled really bad which happens when he's stressed. This is NEVER the case at Fairfield. The staff is incredibly friendly and excellent with high energy dogs. Cooper always seems happy when we pick him up and continues to interact with staff while we are there. He is much calmer and he never smells bad like he does when he's stressed. We also really love the vet staff--we know he is in good hands when he's there. My 13 yr old lab was getting very bad and I took him to have him put down before he could no longer walk. The drs and staff were exceptional. Their concern for luckys comfort was outstanding. Great doctors and staff! Knowledgeable and compassionate...they always follow up after any appointment to make sure our animals are doing ok...can't say enough about them! Always willing to fit us in for regular appointments and our "get us in quick--we're worried" appointments! They have guided us through: a dog with cancer, another dog who liked to swallow rocks, a cat who broke her leg in a trap, another cat who was sick with a blood disease, boarding dogs while we are on vacation...and many more things!
