My dog died under their care. They wanted to keep my beloved pet for observation. I would never trust this office. Especially in an emergency. My night mare of an experience at Morris Vet Clinic: It was Friday after work.My dog was not happy to see me. Which was very unusual. She would normally greet me with excitement and a big smile. So I knew something was wrong.I took her to Morris Vets whom I had trusted and took my pets to for years. I got a call from the Dr. Theresa Hartig on Saturday. Around 2:00 in the afternoon.
She said "She left my dog alone for a few hours and didn't expect this." I could over hear a dog yelling in pain. I asked if "That was my dog?" She said "It was." And said nothing hopeful. I then requested that my girl be put down. 😭😭😭 She was not in pain but lethargic when I took her to the clinic. i asked to see her. She replied, "She looks too bad." "That she was very big." She wasn't when I had last seen her. I later asked for her to be cremated. Dr. Theresa Hartig said she would like to cremate her with a bunch of other dogs. I ofcourse said "NO." (But often wondered whether she did.) I was so beside myself. I wish I had taken them to court. They asked me to leave my beloved pet there for OBSERVATION not to be left alone. To suffer in pain. And to do nothing. OMG. It took me many phone calls and weeks to pick up her ashes. I never recovered from that experience nor the loss. The veterinarian said she died from pancreatitus. After research I thought maybe her stomach flipped. She must have been in horrible pain the last few hours.And I believe she would have survived if she was treated in a timely manner.

My dog died under their care. They wanted to keep my beloved pet for observation. (It was Friday after work.) I got a call from the Dr. Theresa Hartig on Saturday. Around 2:00 in the afternoon.
She said "She left my dog alone for a few hours and didn't expect this." I could overhear a dog yelling in pain. I asked if "That was my dog?" She said it was. And said nothing hopeful. I then requested that my girl be put down. 😭😭😭 She was not in pain but lethargic when I took her to the clinic. i asked to see her. She replied, "She looks too bad." "That she was very big." She wasn't when I had last seen her. I later asked for her to be cremated. Dr. Theresa Hartig said she would like to cremate her with a bunch of other dogs. I ofcourse said "NO." Very caring place for your pet. We go on a regular basis. Just to make sure all is still doing well, I've tried other Vet Offices they just didn't have the fine qualities that Morris Vet Clinic.

Morris Veterinary has taken excellent care of my furry family members since I was in middle school, when they cared for my first dog, Pepper. Since then , they cared for: Jackson, Foley, and Whiskey, and now they care for Mars and Brisco. They've helped us through two dogs' chemotherapy treatments, a major surgery, management of a thyroid condition, and were there to provide support when Pepper, Jackson, Foley, and Whiskey crossed Rainbow Bridge. Each visit, for my boys and I, is a two-hour round trip, but we continue to visit the practice for care, as we found other veterinary practices not to meet their quality standards, or customer service.

In the 33 years of being an adult with pets, this is the BEST veterinary clinic I have ever had experience with. Everyone from the vets to the front office staff cares about the animals they see. They treat my pets like their own, and have always gone above and beyond to help us out.
Cannot say enough about the quality of care you will receive at Morris. The prices are very reasonable for the level of care, and they are good about explaining all of the options available.
I won't go to another vet clinic. I trust them implicitly to do well by me and my fur-babies.

It was alot easier to have closure with the situation and to be reasured it was the right thing to do. They are very honest with you and in my opinion definitely one of the best veterinary offices around.

They kept my dog who had congestive heart failure alive 3 months longer than we thought he would. They gave us the time we needed to say goodbye and when I had to do it because he could barely breathe, they were so kind and carried him to the car for me. My other vet treated his mother and she didn't even last 2 weeks after they diagnosed her so to get those three months meant the world to our family.

Stay Away!!! We boarded our dogs here, and our male came home w/ an injured eye. They said he must have got a claw to the eye. Then they tried to charge us for all the visits concerning his eye. I sent him there to be cared for not to be injured! Now he is partially blind. And our last straw was that we scheduled an appointment for our female to be spayed. They quoted us $122 and we was charged $264. This is outragious. I always asks for the cost before the appointment and it always ends up being more than what I was quoted, and they always have a reason for why it is more. But the spay should not have been $143 MORE than what I was quoted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET! We filed a report w/ the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

We have been visiting Morris Vet since 1989 when Dr. Guinan was the NEW vet in town! They have treated all our pets and are always available and helpful. They really love animals and help them live long and healthy lives. We love the entire staff there!

In the 33 years of being an adult with pets, this is the BEST veterinary clinic I have ever had experience with. Everyone from the vets to the front office staff cares about the animals they see. They treat my pets like their own, and have always gone above and beyond to help us out.
Cannot say enough about the quality of care you will receive at Morris. The prices are very reasonable for the level of care, and they are good about explaining all of the options available.
I won't go to another vet clinic. I trust them implicitly to do well by me and my fur-babies.

Everyone here is absolutely amazing. We lost our cat of 16 years last month and they were very kind, considerate, and helpful with the whole process. It was alot easier to have closure with the situation and to be reasured it was the right thing to do. They are very honest with you and in my opinion definitely one of the best veterinary offices around.

They kept my dog who had congestive heart failure alive 3 months longer than we thought he would. They gave us the time we needed to say goodbye and when I had to do it because he could barely breathe, they were so kind and carried him to the car for me. My other vet treated his mother and she didn't even last 2 weeks after they diagnosed her so to get those three months meant the world to our family.

Stay Away!!! We boarded our dogs here, and our male came home w/ an injured eye. They said he must have got a claw to the eye. Then they tried to charge us for all the visits concerning his eye. I sen...
Stay Away!!! We boarded our dogs here, and our male came home w/ an injured eye. They said he must have got a claw to the eye. Then they tried to charge us for all the visits concerning his eye. I sent him there to be cared for not to be injured! Now he is partially blind. And our last straw was that we scheduled an appointment for our female to be spayed. They quoted us $122 and we was charged $264. This is outragious. I always asks for the cost before the appointment and it always ends up being more than what I was quoted, and they always have a reason for why it is more. But the spay should not have been $143 MORE than what I was quoted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET! We filed a report w/ the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

I have taken my two borderline collies there since they were puppies with parvo and I have only had good experiences with them. I would recommend them to anyone.
