I love the doctors and staff at Four Paws. With 4 vets on staff, you usually can get an appointment fairly quickly, especially if it's not for an annual exam (i.e. illness or injury). We have seen 3 out of the 4 docs currently on staff and they are wonderful, as are the ladies that serve as vet assistants and the team that runs the front desk. Both the assistants and the docs take time to answer questions, whether it be about new flea and tick prevention collars (LOVE Seresto) or whether we should get our dogs the flu vaccine. I would not think of taking our 2 dogs anywhere else. Their prices are reasonable as well. I would not say discount, nor do I think I would want to take my pets to someone who prided themselves on being "cheap". They charge a fair price for services rendered, especially for dental services. Even with extractions, pain meds, antibiotics and extra blood work that was needed for our senior pup, Four Paws was less than HALF of another quote my husband received at a Dayton veterinary hospital. Dental also does not require an overnight stay, which I prefer. Drop-off is first thing in the morning and pick up later in the afternoon/evening. They also do not run any unnecessary tests. When my pup was favoring a leg after taking a tumble, a thorough physical exam was done instead of just doing x-rays. We were sent home with some anti-inflammatories and mild pain meds with instructions that if her condition did not improve within a few days to return for x-rays. My wallet was very thankful for their reasonableness and my dog was back chasing her sister around the backyard in a couple of days. But that does not mean they won't do tests that are warranted. When the other one was having eye issues, they did a relatively quick chemical test to confirm she had a scratch on her cornea. While not jumping with joy for having to pay for the additional service, it was needed to diagnose the condition and I had no qualms with the test. While our dogs still do not seem to look upon their vet visits with joy, nor do I think they ever would regardless of who we saw, I feel that the staff at Four Paws genuinely cares about their patients and their owners. I am so happy my pups have such an awesome vet office to take care of them. Read Less
