I do not recommend this location if you are going to see Dr. Strabala. See Dr. Woodall instead. I took my kitty in because he'd swallowed a foreign body. Dr. Woodall was my regular doctor, but she was out of town, so I saw Dr. Strabala. She took an X-ray and said the foreign body was in his intestines and the surgery would be very difficult and he might not survive and she recommended surgery at the Care Center if that was my choice. I explained that I didn't have much money at the time, and Dr. Strabala and the staff acted like they were urging euthanasia. I almost had my kitty put to sleep there, but something told me to wait. I took my kitty to the Care Center and they did another X-ray, and they said that the foreign body was in his STOMACH and NOT his intestines. The Care Center said they could do the surgery, but it was pretty routine and thought my regular vet could handle it. Overjoyed, I went over to Banfield's, X-ray in hand, to speak to Dr. Strabala to perform the surgery. She didn't even come out to talk to me, but sent the freaking office girl out to talk to me, who explained to me (like I was an idiot) Dr. Strabala's original diagnosis. I repeated to the girl that I took my kitty to the Care Center and I got a second opinion -- that he foreign body was in his stomach. The girl said Dr. Strabala still refused to do the surgery without Dr. Woodall present, and the office worker basically told me Dr. Strabala would not work on my kitty. She wasn't even interested in the X-ray or the diagnosis from the expert surgeon at the Care Center. Oh, and because the surgery was so risky, they expected payment at time of service. I just left. I called the Banfield's in West Chester and Dr. Buttery there agreed to do the surgery, and my kitty is happy and healthy and running around the apartment. I had a friend help me out with the vet bills, and my kitty stayed overnight at the Care Center to get some fluids and rest. Dr. Woodall is an amazing vet and I recommend her to anyone, but if she's gone and it's just Dr. Strabala on staff, my advice is to stay away if she can't read something as simple as an X-ray. Sorry, but that is just what happened to me there. My kitty is alive and well, no thanks to Dr. Strabala. It was only because I took the initiative to get a second opinion that he's still with me today. Imagine how I'd feel if I'd had him euthanized and it had turned out that he needed a pretty basic operation. Read Less
